Ds went to see jetty feather at the theatre today and was in tears over the death of a young boy. Trying to cheer him up was not easy once we had tried the radio for distraction. And now he's crying in his sleep and I'm thinking of hiding the radio!!

DD2 had to deal with a horrible incident lately where a nice old chap had his pension & winter fuel payment swiped by 2 girls at the PO (one bumped, the other lifted)

Even in the current economic climate the council was able to make a small ex gratia payment & give him some food. Please god we never get to the point where that's not possible any more
