Won't someone please give Kenton a kick in the FA Cup Finals, and a link to Money Saving Expert?

I wouldn't necessarily want, as an elderly person, to move in with my DSIL's DDIL's elderly and stroke-prone DM BOW.Grin

R4 · 04/06/2015 19:57

That would have been a good storyline.

I liked the dog woman. Can you imagine her and Aunty Cardboard sharingShock. Mrs A would eat her for breakfast.

BoreOfWhabylon · 04/06/2015 20:02

No Zero, but this is The Archers we're talking about Grin

Gasp0de I also always felt Mrs A should have NC to Roy & Hayley - I remember they did everything for her for ages, couldn't believe they weren't left anything when she popped her clogs.

BoreOfWhabylon · 04/06/2015 20:02

should have left NC...

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 04/06/2015 20:12

I said Nightingale Cottage, but one quick Google later and I find it's actually a Farm - belongs to Matt, let to an unnamed incomer. From the picture on the BBC website it must have been badly affected by the flooding. Odd that Lilian hasn't mentioned that. Hmm

BoreOfWhabylon · 04/06/2015 20:17

Yes, Roy and Hayley lived in the flat there, didn't they?

Think Roooth did too at one time.

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 04/06/2015 21:44

Somebody asked upthread who's scripty this week. According to lowfield it's Mr Keri

ErrolTheDragon · 04/06/2015 23:26

Think that deserves a boop for airing the issue of lonely older people. They shouldn't find a neat solution too soon.

Also quite enjoyed classic Clarrie telling off Eddie, and him and his pal Lil having a good chuckle together. Nice to hear her do that again at last.

ZeroFunDame · 05/06/2015 00:04

Re the Vince /Eddie love-in - it's ridiculous. First thing yesterday Vince would have googled the mysterious millionaire - and then simply asked Caroline, or indeed any of the staff, who Eddie was. It wouldn't have taken this long.

David was busy on TV tonight in The Game. I admit to having some reservations about his screen acting.

Golfhotelromeofoxtrot · 05/06/2015 08:20

Lovely to hear Pusscat chuckling.

Christine's loneliness made me feel quite teary- she's had such a hard time. Maybe Nob will leave and then Helen will take her in?

Pip has to go. Farewell, Pipsqueak. You can squeak from Brazil and come back in a blaze of glory to stir up Fairbother when you return.

trevortrevorslatterfry · 05/06/2015 09:19

I thought Christine and Jim lived together (???)

ZeroFunDame · 05/06/2015 09:34

They don't - but some of the SWs are a little confused about this ...

ZeroFunDame · 05/06/2015 09:39

Pre-flood Christine lived alone in her cottage, and Jim lived alone in his until he took in Jazzer as a lodger.

Post-flood Shula took in both Jim (her FIL) and Christine (her Aunt), so they are currently living in the same house but not living together.

TheSilveryPussycat · 05/06/2015 10:54

Kenton was in the Merchant Navy, IIRC, so we didn't really hear much about his flaky youth.

Sad to say, recently I have twice been moved to actually turn TA off mid episode, am now only following from this thread. Worse, I have been seduced by My Kitchen Rules Australia

ErrolTheDragon · 05/06/2015 11:16

I think Jim and Christine briefly were under one roof when she got spooked by something(maybe Jill's burglar or was there a return of evil Clive?) and didn't want to be in an empty house.

trevortrevorslatterfry · 05/06/2015 11:59

Ah thanks Zero I seeeeee

mummytime · 05/06/2015 13:34

I liked last nights episode and most people were talking a lot of sense.

Vince - well knowing some of the Estate Agents I have known, they could easily have just fallen for any story and not bothered to fact check unless made to. (The number of times over the last 20 years I have been told they expect the house prices to crash and rental to be a good bet... And house prices around here have at least tripled in the same time, and at the worse risen slowly. They were suggesting that selling, and renting whilst waiting for the prices to drop and then buying - a risky strategy.)

ErrolTheDragon · 05/06/2015 14:10

Cod, mash and peas. Apparently your sense of taste declines so a lot of older people would really prefer something spicy than bland pap. Of course they have to avoid anything too chewy but doesn't have to be tasteless, surely designed to encourage people to SOTMC.

Lilymaid · 05/06/2015 14:23

When does Heatherpet move into Brookfield, and will she have Pip's room if Pip's wonderful new job takes her away from home?

Lilymaid · 05/06/2015 14:27

Shouldn't have posted about a move out of Brookfield for Pip as had forgotten first rule of Ambridge life - the women aren't allowed to leave to go anywhere and have a career (unless the actress playing them becomes well known ... i.e. Debbie)

Icimoi · 05/06/2015 15:05

Aren't there going to be ishoos if Eddie plans on feeding his surplus sausage rolls to pigs?

DoctorTwo · 05/06/2015 19:36

Well, that put a Kate amongst the pigeons...

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 05/06/2015 19:58

what happened?!?

ragged · 05/06/2015 20:03

Pretty please can HeatherP die soon, and can the mourning HP episode be one of those days I can't listen, please?

selsigfach · 05/06/2015 20:25

Kate offered it on a plate to Toby (old enough to be his mother, gross) and made a show of herself at the home farm YF party.
