Deluged damp squid or not? And has Peggy been assisted off the mortal coil by Rob yet?
And when will JD and Brian remember Debbie?

DoctorTwo · 13/03/2015 20:08

I can just imagine it: "Ooh, Mrs Tregorran, what are you doing with your hand?"

GypsyFloss · 13/03/2015 20:11

Ooohh Mrs Toboggan I don't know if I should be pruning your bush so soon after moi Freda passed away.

TheOnlyOliviaMumsnet · 13/03/2015 20:42

Marking place.
So much to catch up on.

What was Catheridge Hall please??

ZeroFunDame · 13/03/2015 20:52

The mega-expensive venue for Tom and Kirstie's wedding!

BoreOfWhabylon · 13/03/2015 21:08

Poor Bert Sad (I might have cried a bit)

SOC is a murderous murdering murderer who MURDERED FREDA Angry

BoreOfWhabylon · 13/03/2015 21:09

And he murdered her to make room for bloody luvvy thespian Carol Toboggan Angry Angry

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 13/03/2015 21:25

I think the significance of the zeros in my case is that somebody else had bagged Gaspode with ordinary letters. Not sure if I will stay as a wonder dog or revert to Mimsy.

BoreOfWhabylon · 13/03/2015 21:44

And furthermore, Freda never had a bad word to say about anybody (well, any word to say, really), whereas Carol WON'T SHUT UP!!

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 13/03/2015 21:54

Agree bore. Wish carol had been killed off

Poor bert - was he with her or were they cruel bastards?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 13/03/2015 21:56

Cruel bastards. Sad

BoreOfWhabylon · 13/03/2015 22:06

Thought he was there Mimsy Gasp0de ?

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 13/03/2015 22:21

No Sad

He said he wasn't there & he wished he'd gone in the morning.

(but that the hospital had been saying she could come home on Monday)

Did she die from the pneumonia? (I missed that bit, if he said)

stilllearnin · 13/03/2015 22:37

I think he was there but they did not get the chance to say goodbye to one another. You see, I'm off again!

ZeroFunDame · 13/03/2015 22:41

I'll have to listen again but I'm pretty sure SOC didn't once say "yes, you may have a point" or "perhaps we could have handled that differently" or anything that acknowledged a different point of view.

And I'm furious at Ruth's somewhat tardy discovery re the existence of sheltered housing. Utterly nonsensical.

Poor Bert. He sounded so confused and alone.

EBearhug · 13/03/2015 22:55

No, SOC just went on about even if they've had complaints, listener figures are steady, more people than ever are downloading the podcasts, and they've had praise too.

Basically, he's ignoring any dissent.

ErrolTheDragon · 13/03/2015 22:57

Sudden massive heart attack. Hmm

(Gasp0de - too many TP fans on MN. If anyone has the temerity to be Err0lTheDrag0n they'll be asking for a flaming. Dragon)

ErrolTheDragon · 14/03/2015 00:20

I meant to say before, funny how Kate's Mother's Day plans were all about her being the mother. It didn't seem to occur to her that if phoebe isn't there, she could do something special for her mother and grandmother. Grin

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 14/03/2015 07:34

Excellent point, Errol!

Re SOC not once admitting he was wrong - Vanessa Whitburn never did either. Nobody who goes on Feedback ever admits they were wrong about anything. I think when you work for the BBC it's the first exercise in the induction training.

  1. Listen to the public complaining with sympathetic headtilt.
  1. Tell them you're sorry they didn't like it but you've had millions of letters from people who absolutely loved it - no need to spell out they're a green-ink-using froth-at-the-mouther, just suggest it!
  1. Carry on exactly as before!

Never explain, never apologise.

First rule of management in my experience AngryAngryAngry

I missed Feedback but I'm not sure I have the heart to listen to SOC smugly insisting that everything's just dandy and he's done wonders for TA.

VelvetGreen · 14/03/2015 10:09

I'm probably being dense, but is halloumi no longer made of cheese, or was it supposed to be evidence of Kate's hypocrisy?

Poor Bert Sad

Lilymaid · 14/03/2015 10:21

Peggy's new will: To my granddaughter Kate I leave nothing so she may ponder on "First World problems".

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 14/03/2015 10:45

Yes! Kate is the queen of first world problems!!

How was it resolved with Brian re paying for the course?

If I was feeling generous I would say the red to halloumi was to poke fun at Kate, but I have a funny feeling they just looked at 'hippy' recipes and forgot they'd made her vegan

They have kind of thrown the 'alternative' book at Kate and I wish they'd stop making her quite such a caricature

PeaceOfWildThings · 14/03/2015 10:48

Halloumi is a very salty Greek cheese. (I won't kniw the significance until I listen to recorded episodes next week)

*Gasp0de I'm sorry, I thought the 0s were something TP used and I'd just forgotten them. I really need to start rereading his books and buy the ones we don't have copies of.
