Deluged damp squid or not? And has Peggy been assisted off the mortal coil by Rob yet?
And when will JD and Brian remember Debbie?

I actually had halloumi for tea last night Smile. I am also a yoga obsessive. I really hate Kate!

I was wondering if it was deliberate or a sw error.

ppeatfruit · 14/03/2015 11:11

Oh the talk about MAMIL reminded me of when we had a flat in Cannes it was above a club for such men, they were a scream with their man tans and huge Harleys!! Cannes is an alternative universe.

I said they were going to 'write out' Freda, she had a massive heart attack (probably all those hot pots) "sorry" Grin Sad. BOOP and PEAT point for the scene with Bert acting well IMO I really cried Sad.

ZeroFunDame · 14/03/2015 11:19

...huge Harleys..

GrinGrinGrin

ZeroFunDame · 14/03/2015 11:21

((Your life sounds impossibly glamorous ppeat. I'm well jel.Envy )

ppeatfruit · 14/03/2015 11:46

Well, not that glamorous Zero Grin we had to use ear plugs to sleep (due to the club), annoyingly the other residents managed to get the volume reduced and then the club closed down AFTER we had to sell!

GypsyFloss · 14/03/2015 12:17

I had to google MAMIL. Oh God we've got loads of them around here. Some come from out of the village and congregate in our village tea room on Sundays. Others are competitive local Dads who cycle as part of the whole mid life crisis triathlon thing.

We also get bikers. They're either chromosexuals on their Harleys or PowerRangers with their matching leathers and bikes. The latter only come out on sunny days and their tyres have chicken strips visible 'cos they're too scared to lean their bikes and they travel everywhere in a slightly wobbly upright position. But their leathers look nice Grin

paxtecum · 14/03/2015 12:23

Not sure what Environmental Health would say about selling food at The Bull again.

ppeatfruit · 14/03/2015 13:58

Yes Gypsy It's either 'Middle aged men in Leather' or in Lycra, very funny. I like the sound of 'chicken strips' Grin.

GypsyFloss · 14/03/2015 14:24

Family of biker males here. All very dismissive of too much chrome, too much matchy-matchy and tyres that never get properly scrubbed in and start and end the summer looking as good as new with their chicken strips intact.

BitOutOfPractice · 14/03/2015 16:00

I love halloumi. I love to hate Kate

ppeatfruit · 14/03/2015 16:21

BOOP Someone upthread was saying she 's unrealistic; She's definitely is not!! Grin I know quite a few women who should know better behaving in the same fashion as Kate, just being vegan is nothing compared, at least she eats fgs!! She was obviously making the wraps esp. for feebs so making a huge sacrifice of her vegan principles Grin.

stilllearnin · 14/03/2015 16:25

Ppeat - Are you the person who has a friend who eats prana style? Even my yoga teacher told someone to have a fag or a slice of cake on hearing that!

DoctorTwo · 14/03/2015 16:51

Kate is totally self centred. I cringe every time she opens her mouth. Poor Feebs...

Minimammoth · 14/03/2015 17:01

What is Mamils please?

Lilymaid · 14/03/2015 17:06

Middle aged men in leathers

Minimammoth · 14/03/2015 17:34

Ah, thank you. Yup I lived with one of those until he sold his bike last year. I have also therefore been a Mawil

ZeroFunDame · 14/03/2015 17:38

Another organic farming article. The Guardian.

If the Village shop moves to Bridge Farm not all the produce will be organic. Wonder if that would be the point when Tom insists BF ditches its organic status.

Minimammoth · 14/03/2015 17:44

Sorry not reading thread properly Blush

enochroot · 14/03/2015 17:50

Is Susan going to be conflicted over the shop?
She's expecting Justin's fund to bail out the VS in its present location which is central and convenient.
She works at Bridge Farm and is, I think, postmistress. She might find it convenient to have all her work on one site.
But she might think Pat is taking over the VS.

Is Pat taking over the VS?

RocknRollNerd · 14/03/2015 18:00

I was desperately willing Shula or Bert to say that Freda had gone peacefully Grin.

Not sure I'd class pizza, cold pie and salad on hard chairs (I imgaine those hideous faded plastic orangey red ones) as a treat après un deluge!

I've finally worked out where Kate gets her bitchiness from, it's Peggy, the gene skipped a generation clearly.

I'm back from a lovely afternoon watching a play version of Cabin Pressure as recommended by Mr Finnemore earlier this week on Twitter...it was a combination of Gdansk and Xinxhou, it was very good indeed. DS particularly enjoyed his first grown up theatre trip and the otter on a shelf at the rear of the set!

Lilymaid · 14/03/2015 18:23

Today's Guardian has a good article by Cerys Matthws on what music to listen to if you can no longer face the Archers omnibus.

TheSilveryPussycat · 14/03/2015 19:30

Surely The Bull Upstairs had somewhere to sit already? And some sort of bar? Or have I got a wrong plan of the Bull in my head?

TopazRocks · 14/03/2015 19:56

I think you are right, Silvery. They had parties and all in the bull upstairs. I assume they had chairs and a bar too. BTW I wan ted to abbreviate your name to Pussycat, but that would have confused everyone.Smile

Maybe you can get vegan haloumi. If so, it'll taste like plastic probably.

TopazRocks · 14/03/2015 20:03

And tables ....

CuttedUpPear · 14/03/2015 20:15

Lilymaid is Cerys on at the same time as they omnibus?
I know where I'll be if that is the case. She's great. A week away and now I'm back, I've found myself AVOIDING listening to TA, for the first time in decades. Sad
