Deluged damp squid or not? And has Peggy been assisted off the mortal coil by Rob yet?
And when will JD and Brian remember Debbie?

CA said 'Well, that went well'. I think that was it anyway.

Thinking of Scruff. Do dogs do that thing of moving away to another household, esp. when stressed, like cats do? Then coming back ages later, maybe.

ZeroFunDame · 16/03/2015 19:38

Small BOOP for the possibilities of Trevor - who will no doubt appear having changed his name to something cool and 21st century. Would he be too old to be a hipster?

GypsyFloss · 16/03/2015 19:45

How old is Trevor?

Love the poem Gasp . I can almost hear Bert reading it.

I had a Freda moment in the health food shop when I passed a packet of Pontefract cakes and my first thought was " oh Freda liked them". Followed by " I always wondered wtf the they were!"

TopazRocks · 16/03/2015 19:50

I suppose Trevor could be in his 50s. Late 40s anyway. He's never had a voice that I can recall. I don't think Trevor is that unusual a name for his age, whatever that actually is. Isn't it up there with Nigels - kind of classless and ageless, until lately.

ZeroFunDame · 16/03/2015 20:02

Oh no, not an unusual name at all, just not perhaps one that might inspire a SW. Although "Carol" is hardly exciting as a name. We must expect Trevor to be voiced by a somebody. I'm thinking Daniel Craig ...

ArcheryAnnie · 16/03/2015 20:09

Bloody Kenton shouldn't have spent money before he had it in the bank. No sympathy here.

GypsyFloss · 16/03/2015 20:51

Maybe Pip could moonlight as Trevor?

I suspect he'll only get third party reporting. Silent Trevor...sounds so like his mother.

R4 · 16/03/2015 20:57

Jazzer is at Bridge Farm.
Talking of Jazzer, can someone explain the milkround. Is it still going (flood notwithstanding) because they also do non-Jersey milk or has it ground to a halt due to Ed no longer supplying?

ZeroFunDame · 16/03/2015 21:07

You may have hit upon the editor's cunning plan Gypsy - perhaps NewPip is being trained up to play all the characters.

It'll probably be announced in the Budget ...

LillianGish · 16/03/2015 21:44

Big BOOP for that episode. My fave moment was when Jill said of Freda "She always did speak her mind". Always sad to lose a silent character - they can play a big part even in their absence and there is no chance of them being replaced by someone who sounds nothing like them (I'm looking at you Pip - mercifully absent from this episode which is why I Booped. I didn't think it possible that I would look back at the days of the old Pip as Halcyon days -quite some achievement there by Soak).

choccyp1g · 16/03/2015 21:58

The trouble is Freda didn't speak her mind when she was a silent character. She was just Moi Freda, maker of pies..and cleaner of Brookfield, Home Farm etc.

Soak is rewriting history by suddenly making her a fiesty Amazon, driving fearlessly into floods.

R4 · 16/03/2015 22:08

Actually, I was surprised that Freda could/would drive.

Kenton's rage was out of character too. And what was that about not having an income while the pub was shut? - that's what Business Interruption / Loss of Profits insurance is for.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 16/03/2015 22:20

We have a massive insurance related storyline and daddaddad isn't here!!

Bluestocking · 16/03/2015 22:26

I thought the Wrath of Kenton sounded pretty convincing.
AIBU to say that I don't need to hear any more of the Mourning of Freda? I'm sure she was a dab hand with a roast dinner and filled out a pinny quite magnificently, but it's hard to pine for a silent.

ErrolTheDragon · 16/03/2015 22:52

I guess Shula and Lizzie will side with David - they had more sense than to spend (or promise) their share before it materialised, and didn't advise D to tell K earlier.

choccyp1g · 16/03/2015 23:07

Talking of silent characters, does anyone know what became of Higgs?

trevortrevorslatterfry · 16/03/2015 23:52

BOOP for Kenton! I thought he was great. What a nob david is.

enochroot · 17/03/2015 00:23

It was mentioned in passing that Jazzer is staying at Bridge Farm. Pat's presiding over a household of men and Brian's house is crammed with women.

Freda always spoke her mind! Grin

minkGrundy · 17/03/2015 00:23

I think David didn't do enough to stop Kenton spending money he didn't have because he was just grateful the siblings were not giving him grief about selling up.

I think the mistake was in not telling him on holiday. And convenient plot device though it was I am not sure it was in character. If D wouldn't, I would have thought Shula would have as they all know Kenton well enough to know he would be maxing out his cards (that at least was in character).

DoctorTwo · 17/03/2015 04:00

When Kenton yelled "get out" I shouted "you're barred" at my car radio. :o Poor Deevid.

JessieMcJessie · 17/03/2015 04:29

I thought Kenton's reaction was OTT but very realistic given that he had just learned that Freda had died, and had come home from a long haul flight to find the Bull devastated. Talk about straws and camels' backs.

I agree that it was out of character for none of David, Shula or Lizzie to have told him. However I am quite pleased that they saved the announcement till now for dramatic effect. ( I am so fickle, since I was complaining only yesterday about drama for drama's sake Blush).

mummytime · 17/03/2015 06:15

I wonder if Shula will, change sides and join her twin against David and Lizzie. I'm hoping the quietly bubbling storyline there will be uncovered, with just how broke Shula and Alastair are, and where Alastair has been going with his conferences.

OK, so we heard a dog barking in the distance. If it was Scruff, what's the chance that we're in for a spot of sheep worrying and poor Scruff will get the blame and Linda will throw herself between dog and David with his anti badger gun, thus getting rid of another lovely character. David will be banged up for Lindaslaughter and Pip will be able to run Brookside Brookfield as her little robotic heart desires.
