I'm sorry to say that on those threads that pop up here every so often about which slebs are actually loathsome in real life, TS is a constant fixture.

Peggy to me is a combination of Margaret Thatcher and Mary Whitehouse in a June Whitfield package.

Piggoi is short but not birdlike. She might have been described as pleasingly plump in youth and middle age but now has the form of a compact but well-lagged hot water tank. She is always dressed extremely well in Windsmoor and the like and favours Investment Classic colours and styles. Lots of camel coloured cashmere, for example, and lots of winning ways with lovely silk scarves of which she has a profusion.

She has quite a lot of proper jewellery (dear Jick was always veddy, veddy generous) which she wears in rotation. Her hair is a champagne-tinted Thatcherite helmet, and she sets great store by her colourist. She's never seen without makeup; a pinkish lipstick and lots of powder, which make her look a bit like a square of rose Turkish delight. She wears L'Air du Temps but underneath the powder and scent there is a faint but discernible base note of sulphur and corruption.

Comparing our mental pictures of characters is far superior to accidentally stumbling across their photos on the Internet. (I try to avoid this but annoyingly it will happen from time to time.)
