I do agree about the rewriting of history re Matt and Lill. So far as I remember, the last time he featured was in the business about her knitting, and he was shown then as enjoying the joke and gently taking the piss. That isn't the response of a man growing apart from his wife.

David sounds to me as though he's beginning to crack up. It's stressful enough moving house anyhow so the pressure of making a move like his must be awful, especially when he's so emotionally attached.

Love this proposed new plot. Lillian + JE would be brilliant in so many ways. She deserves to be happy. It would thoroughly annoy her sister. Lynda's sniffs would become epic. They'd make a great power couple. Best of all it would give Matt a reason to race back and wrest her from enemy possession. (I'm clinging to the tiny possibility that his absence is temporary.)

I am thinking, Jenny and Linda, Ambridge's Mapp and Lucia.
Something happening so that Jolene and Kenton stay long term in Oz. Fallon and Plod to take over the Bull.

Re: Matt - reading between the lines of the interview the actor did, I think he disagreed strongly with the way things are going, had a barney with SOC and flounced. The ridiculous way Matt was written out is SOC thumbing his nose at the actor. No-one tells HIM what to do!

Ref. Matt and Lil's relationship; I remember a very ea Matt knowing all about her affair with his half brother, pretending he knew nothing, and still forcing her to go to his funeral because he was 'family'.
