OK, this was posted on another site on January 1st 2014

'Based upon a letter in the DM from a reader who alleged they had overheard "an obnoxiously loud member of TA production team" in a Birmingham restaurant. Believe it at your peril.

Rob is revealed to be homophobic.
Jill will move into Brookfield.
The Grundy's to move back to Grange Farm.
Tom will take over the running of Bridge Farm after Tony has an accident.
Lower Loxley may burn down, but that has yet to be decided upon.
Lynda is to stage Blithe Spirit next Christmas.

Or not, as the case may be...'

How much more will come to pass, I wonder?

OP posts:
BringYourOwnSnowman · 30/11/2014 21:32

They'll probably just get bored and it will just be dropped. A bit like some of the other mega storylines

(And I don't count toms return as a completely different person as the tying up of the wedding fiasco loose ends)

BringYourOwnSnowman · 30/11/2014 22:59

So is Jill going to tell Shula and lizzie of for wanting their share? If she does I would be seriously pissed off if I were them a she shows such blatant favouritism!

Icimoi · 30/11/2014 23:11

I've just had a quick listen to Feedback on iPlayer going back to 7th November - I skipped through so I can't claim it was a comprehensive check. I came across two features on TA, neither of which featured anyone saying Brookfield wouldn't be sold.

Icimoi · 30/11/2014 23:14

Perhaps Lynda's shock is Julian Rhind-Tutt turning up and declaring his long-held secret ambition to feature in one of her productions?

Pip and Josh's late night chat could be interesting. We've all speculated that they can't be going given the investment in NewPipnJosh, so are we about to have one of those spectacular U-turns when they suddenly declare their opposition to moving away?

BringYourOwnSnowman · 30/11/2014 23:15

Maybe josh expresses doubts (cos he's mid exams) but pip seems very pro moving!

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 01/12/2014 07:48

Thanks, Icimoi, that is what I would have expected. I suspect a mishearing.

I agree with the rest of you - I am so convinced that the sale/move won't go ahead that I just find this story irritating, not involving. It's all being done in such a cackhanded way that I can't get worked up about it at all. Suspension of disbelief is difficult for me at the moment, as I've just said on the AIBU Tom Archer thread in reference to NewTom, but this is another big reason. I want to get back to the days when all was familiar and cosy and a big storyline came along only occasionally and was just that, big, because it was such a contrast to everything that was happening. Sad

BringYourOwnSnowman · 01/12/2014 08:10

Agree mimsy

BringYourOwnSnowman · 01/12/2014 22:00

So Wednesday - why are Shula and liz faci g Jill?

David and Ruth seemed ok about taking their cash out so what's there to face?

Are they going to demand she stay

Icimoi · 01/12/2014 23:11

I suspect Jill is going to tell them that they're being greedy and disrespecting Phil's memory.

LillianGish · 02/12/2014 07:10

Jill won't be quite so happy about the prospect of selling to Damara - there is nothing in for her to soften the blow. She will have to move north, see Brookfield destroyed and everyone in the village will hate them.

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 02/12/2014 07:21

Jill already knows about the bid from Damara, though, and she seemed reconciled to it. To be fair, if somebody offered me £7.5 million for my home, I think I'd take it!

BringYourOwnSnowman · 02/12/2014 08:56

Jill is way too passive when it comes to David. I would be annoyed by her blatant favouritism if I were the siblings.

So lizzie needs her mum - what ott drama will be occurring this time? Spider in the bath?

I'm going to guess Jill will realise that she is needed by all her kids and will be the one who makes the sale fall through. Then there will be a big heartwarming family scene where they all confess their undying love for Brookfield and ambridge and laugh at how silly they had been

Either that or the sinkhole

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 02/12/2014 15:17

12th December is the twins' birthday, BYOS. That may be all it is.

Longing for the sinkhole to come into play. Maybe Justin Elliott could fall down it?

BringYourOwnSnowman · 03/12/2014 08:42

I see

Elizabeth needs her mum ...... To bake a cake for the twins

Alsoflamingo · 03/12/2014 16:57

Apologies haven't read through whole thread and may have been covered, but can someone tell me why on earth they decided to replace the actor playing Tom? I assumed it was because the 'original' Tom wanted out, but it turns out he was given the boot. And powers that be have replaced him with someone who sounds NOTHING LIKE HIM. If anything he sounds like the odious (or are we supposed to like him now it's revealed he's gay?) Charlie. Just bonkers. On radio voices are all important - that's all we have to identify a character and get to know them. What were they thinking? I have noticed all the other characters in scenes with him have to keep using his name in all sentences in that unnatural way. Am I the only one to find it really silly and annoying?

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 03/12/2014 22:24

Very far from it, Also! It's inexplicable, except that the actor is the son of the actor now playing Tony, which seems an odd coincidence.

BringYourOwnSnowman · 03/12/2014 22:25

there's another thread on radioaddicts that is discussing tom! (it's not about the money...one)

BringYourOwnSnowman · 05/12/2014 10:03

Oh no! Not kate!

Kind of glad I'm away over Xmas!

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 05/12/2014 10:07

My reaction exactly, BYOS, except we're not away over Christmas! She has news - please, please, please let it not be the news that she's moving back to Ambridge. I'd much rather have Debbie back, but only with Tamsin Grieg, and I suppose that's not all that likely these days. Sad

BringYourOwnSnowman · 05/12/2014 10:15

Isn't kate actress busy in eastenders. I can't bear it! But feel that may be the case

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 05/12/2014 10:17

Oh dear.

And I'd imagine the only way Kate will come back is divorced and without her children. There's no way the (in this context utterly useless SWs and production team) could cope long term with having Africans in Ambridge.

BringYourOwnSnowman · 05/12/2014 10:20

Or she will bring the kids with her and we will have some really clumsy racism storylines in the future

PseudoBadger · 05/12/2014 10:22

I bet it's NewKate

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 05/12/2014 10:24

I think my head will explode if we have to try to make out a new Kate alongside a new Tom, Pip and Josh.
