Below are the submissions to "Guess the End Time of this Thread". I've listed them in the order they were submitted, so speak now if I've missed yours. (My own prediction was one I privately wrote down when I started this).

me - 11 Nov
Icimoi - 2 Nov
AllMimsy... - 5 Nov 7:01pm
Unitarian - 31 Oct after 7:15pm
OddFodd - 7 Nov before 7pm
GypsyFloss - 5 Nov
JusticeOfThePeas - 31 Oct 2pm
toldmywrath - 5 Nov 6:48pm

My own prediction is looking rubbish and I reckon it's AllMimsy and OddFodd who are going to be fighting it out for the winning result - unless tmw's late entry turns out to be a work of tactical genius.

(If your submission didn't state a time, we'll call it midday).

A few loose ends I need clearing up!!

What happened after R and H's consultation with Usha? I know Roy received a cheque for an undisclosed amount, but are they not going down the legal/unfair dismissal route? ( for himself and Hayley)

I am worried about all the absences - we haven't heard from Alaistair for months since Daniel left, where is Christopher, wasn't he once one of Roy's drinking mates? Where is Ian (doesn't he have any communication with Helen, let alone Adam?)...
Why haven't we heard any post Jess' disclosure conversations between Rob and HelenWhy haven't we heard any meaningful conversation between Mike and Roy? (And Vickoi).... Where is Alan, surely he would be offering a shoulder to cry on to Jill/Hayley etc??

Blush I hadn't looked back up thread at anyone else's predictions DadDadDad. Oh dear I do hope no-one thinks that I'm a chancer/cheater. I'm willing to share the prize if I win, or donate it to a good cause. Grin prize, what prize?

unitarian · 27/10/2014 17:34

Justice and I will have to sit on our hands and not post a lot or we'll be accused of skewing the result for an early finish!

I'm reckoning on the Hunt Ball and Hallowe'en stimulating flurries of posts so I hope neither turns out to be a damp squib.

DadDadDad · 27/10/2014 17:42

Yes, and we'll be highly suspicious of unitarian posting things like this:

"Sorry, about the multiple duplicate posts. My phone must be playing up." Wink

DadDadDad · 27/10/2014 17:45

And well done for not calling it a damp squid!

unitarian · 27/10/2014 17:47

Ha! I never post from my phone but you'll know I'm trying to up the posting rate if I frequently shout WHERE IS IAN? during quiet times at work. Grin

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 27/10/2014 18:03

guineapiglet Regarding the absences - it may help if you picture each missing character as a unit of £££ saved....

Or, or, or you could look down your list and cross out any who lack genuine Archer blood. You have heard the last of such interlopers.... (Leaving Helen to talk to herself.)

Best to pretend they never existed....

CuttedUpPear · 27/10/2014 19:06

So now CarolPlotDevice is going foraging.
For something she doesn't want to pay for in the shops.

Sloes.

SHUT UP with your impromptu literary reverie as well.

Shallishanti · 27/10/2014 19:07

hah- only a broken wrist!

BasketzatDawn · 27/10/2014 19:08

I imagine if Heather has been deaded, and if she breathes still, it cannot be long - then Rooth will inherit something. Though I can't think of very much I've been told in the past about R's parents' fortunes. I assume they have their own houses etc. though. So maybe her demise will assist the great new farm venture.

However, I've been thinking - a propos someone's remarks above - wouldn't it be great if the Grundys had a huge change of fortune, were able to buy B'field, and then they could do all the hiring and firing around Ambridge. It would be wonderful indeed.

Ah, not deaded after all ...... Sad and evil. Why all that ahing and oohing for a broken wrist.

BasketzatDawn · 27/10/2014 19:09

one house. not houses.

RhinestoneCowgirl · 27/10/2014 19:10

Have sought out this thread to say that I went to a wedding yesterday and they actually had a whole salmon dressed with cucumber 'scales'. My first thought was TA...

CuttedUpPear · 27/10/2014 19:10

And so the faux-move north plot lumbers on.....

BasketzatDawn · 27/10/2014 19:10

What was Peggy scolding JD about? I missed that.

kiritekanawa · 27/10/2014 19:12

ooh... Dowson. More for the ideas that John Tregorran may habe been dodgy (paedophilia)

BasketzatDawn · 27/10/2014 19:12

Aren't dressed salmons supposed to be a bit passé? But wot do I know - I've been veggie for decades.

Ah, a séance. woooooooooooo

GypsyFloss · 27/10/2014 19:16

DadDadDad can I add a time of 7.35 to mine please ? Grin

NotdeadHeather . How boring.

Yes , definitely to the Grundy's inheriting something and buying Bf. Or on a smaller scale I'd love it if Ed, as suggested upthread, won a small fortune and there was a complete role reversal between him and Willyum. I really want Ed to have a bit of luck...ideally before Soosan banishes him!

RhinestoneCowgirl · 27/10/2014 19:16

I just mentally tune out now every time R&D mention the move north, it's just such an unlikely storyine...

PumpkinGordino · 27/10/2014 19:18

I have been to two parties with a dressed salmon with cucumber slices in the last 12 months. They were big traditional family affairs though rather than expensive society dos - I think we had profiteroles for pudding too. It was lovely, reminded me of childhood. So maybe it is passé!

RhinestoneCowgirl · 27/10/2014 19:20

I had some of said salmon, it was v tasty, so guess it doesn't matter whether passée or not!

BringYourOwnSnowman · 27/10/2014 19:21

I really hope I miss the episode when Ruth finds out her mum has died if that's how she reacts to a broken wrist.

This storyline is just getting stupider and stupider. I'm sure the new producer thinks he's really clever and keeping everyone engaged and its just bitter old timers who can't move with the times blah blah blah bit actually it's just a shit storyline

I'm increasingly extending bath time and spending time with my kids so I have an excuse not to listen to the archers

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 27/10/2014 19:23

Is there a spell in sloe-pricking?

Not only has Carol admitted to being a witch, she's now setting up a coven.Shock

(And remember I said "absolutely not definitely dead"?....)

BasketzatDawn · 27/10/2014 19:24

At least if Ed has to move into the shed used by HWCNBN he can have a stinky sofa to sleep on. No way will Sooosan want to not replace it. She was probably on the DFS website before day break on Saturday.

But I agree with Gypsy and others - Ed is nice and needs a break. And Willyum is a PITA.

BringYourOwnSnowman · 27/10/2014 19:26

Which Shakespeare play were the witches in? Was it Macbeth?

Do you think they have a timeline up and have marke where each bombshell is going to fall so they know which actors they need to book?

Hae they got an actor for Justin elliott or is he going to be joining lily at the next mime workshop?
