Wise thought, LG. Maybe he's spending his weekends in casinos? Is that possible, truly? And to remain undiscovered by spouse? I suppose so if finances are separate. Whatever, their marriage has to be for the chop. Maybe Heather flung herself down the stairs/off the roof cos she was feeling neglected? Na, getting silly now. Smile

PureDeadBrilliant · 26/10/2014 23:01

Actually, hearing them cooing over the new farm, I started to wish that they would just bugger off.

Roooth has been too selfish and is bloody stupid to listen to anymore.

CuttedUpPear · 26/10/2014 23:23

I never thought I would say this, but if only there was such a thing as Amex we could have sent someone to listen on all of our behalves and we would know all about what Alistair is getting up to at these 'conferences'.

unitarian · 27/10/2014 01:48

I'd forgotten about the gambling. With that in his past wouldn't Shula be highly suspicious about all these weekends away?

He's got to be at the HB if it's on Wednesday so he could be handy for delivering COJAR if Jess does go into labour then. My money's on a Hallowe'en birth though - and Rob HAS to be the father.

I thought they packed a whole lot into this evening's episode what with finding the perfect farm, Lizzie of all people trying to hold Shula back from being grasping, Tony being so happy and carefree, the looming disaster of Peggy's birthday lunch, something sinister to do with the water table and a (probable) death.

DadDadDad · 27/10/2014 10:26

Last chance to submit an entry to my totally pointless competition guessing when this thread will end. I'll close entries and summarise submissions later today probably. See my post of 23 Oct at 13:16.

Unrelated question: what does COJAR stand for? I missed that one. (Guessing "Child Of Jess And Rob" but hoping it's something wittier).

PumpkinGordino · 27/10/2014 10:30

what money did alistair use last time?

vet practices are like gps aren't they, so the partners own the business? so he could use the practice funds and get into a proper pickle

BitOutOfPractice · 27/10/2014 10:35

Oh! Just found you. No chance to read now, but like Jess, I'll be back

unitarian · 27/10/2014 10:57

Perhaps Shula suspects gambling and that's why she's desperate to get her farm share money.
We might get a clue when we hear how she reacts when the Brookfield sale is called off.

BOOreOfWOOObylon · 27/10/2014 11:27

COJAR is indeed Child Of Jess And Rob, DadDadDad - not very witty but was the best I could do.

I remember that on the late, great BBC Archers messageboard Ruaruariii was known as Baspofal - bastard spawn of Aldridge - so we could go with Baspofrob, except said child will not actually be a bastard but legitimate fruit of Rob's loins.

Legfrorl?

Icimoi · 27/10/2014 12:16

He's got to be at the HB if it's on Wednesday so he could be handy for delivering COJAR if Jess does go into labour then.

It'll be Alan's daughter again, won't it? The poor woman can't go to any social event in Ambridge without being required to exercise her professional skills.

Icimoi · 27/10/2014 12:17

Re the mystery sinkhole and disappearance of water, is there some sort of environmental offence involving wrongful extraction of water that BL might end up getting prosecuted for? That could be the way they resolve the Route B issue.

BringYourOwnSnowman · 27/10/2014 12:47

And the Justin Elliott issue

toldmywrath · 27/10/2014 13:29

DadDadDad Oh go on then I'll give you a new thread date. Here is my totally unscientific prediction (no spreadshits here) : 5 Nov at 18.48hrs.

unitarian · 27/10/2014 13:38

Legititch?

DadDadDad · 27/10/2014 13:39

Thanks, tmw. I think I'll close entries there.

DadDadDad · 27/10/2014 13:44

unitarian - pronouced "legit-titch"? It made me smile. Let's see if it catches on...

BOOreOfWOOObylon · 27/10/2014 13:59

Legititch - love it! Grin

Icimoi · 27/10/2014 14:17

I'm just wondering what Deavid and Rooth would end up shelling out in estate agents' commission, conveyancing fees and stamp duty if they move. Does anyone know? If Rodways charge half a percent, that's a cool £250K before they start. Those glossy brochures don't print themselves, after all.

DadDadDad · 27/10/2014 14:20

Sorry, have I missed something? 250k would be half a percent of 50 million!

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 27/10/2014 14:40

Amy won't be allowed into the Hunt Ball. Didn't Alice say that "people like her" don't ride horses?

We'll need an alternative midwife.

(Still Angry )

BringYourOwnSnowman · 27/10/2014 14:43

I thought Alice and Amy were besties?

TeenyfTroon · 27/10/2014 14:43

As in 'leejit titch' or 'leg it titch'?
Got to get these things clear (like the sums!)Wink

unitarian · 27/10/2014 14:43

Amy might be someone's plus 1.

justiceofthePeas · 27/10/2014 17:03

2i think HeatherPet is not dead yet.
Possibly just turn for worse that ratchets up pressure to make hasty move.

Then someone (BL) will hear of pending Brookfield sale and make offer.

Is it is character for Shula to be grasping? It was her that went straight to lawyer wasn't it?
Would they not see farm is D and Rs liveliehood?

I hope the Grundy"s have massive lottery win and buy Bfield.
Archers move falls through and they end up with field and Josh's chicken venture (and what will happen to his Egg Empire if he has to move)

toldmywrath · 27/10/2014 17:07

ZSGThingy I like the phrase pumpkinned the sofa -I may have to steal that. (altho' I hope no-one pumpkins my sofa) Grin
