Is she not definitely dead then?

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 26/10/2014 19:32

Absolutely not definitely dead.

There was a lot of oh noooo-ing from Ruth. Heather might have fallen badly or suffered a stroke or ...whatever.

But given the peak of ecstasy that D&R had reached (re the new farm) at the exact moment they received the phone call about her....

TeenAndTween · 26/10/2014 19:33

What was that about water drying up somewhere?
Does that tie in with the hole in Lakey Hill and Route B?

BasketzatDawn · 26/10/2014 19:33

Not clear, no. There was just a vair long 'ooh, nooooooooo' then the end musak. Mrs Watkins the neighbour of HeatherPet had phoned while Dav and R were nebbing a farm. I suppose at least they can get to H before she is cold as they must be oop north. .

BringYourOwnSnowman · 26/10/2014 19:46

But if heatherpet is dead they're not restricted to near prudhoe are they?

BOOreOfWOOObylon · 26/10/2014 19:46

Thanks. Does anyone know when will it be on 'listen again'? Do I have to wait until tomorrow?

nauticant · 26/10/2014 19:53

No BYOS, they're not. They could now start planning their opium poppy plantations in the Golden Triangle.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 26/10/2014 19:55

Seems to be available now on iplayer......

Bluestocking · 26/10/2014 19:57

Did you know that most of the world's pharmaceutical morphine is grown in Tasmania? Just saying. Perhaps Kenton would be willing to put his share of Brookfield in with the Dopeys and be in the right hemisphere for Meriel. He could learn to do a wicked Flat (Brown) White.

Icimoi · 26/10/2014 20:21

Even when Lizzie admitted to breaking up a marriage it was in the context of "Poor me, I've had a hard time because I've broken up someone's marriage". She continues to be incredibly self-centred.

BasketzatDawn · 26/10/2014 20:24

True, icimoi, she is self-centred. Maybe I'm trying to cut her some slack .....

Pls educate me - what is a wicked, flat etc.? I think cocktail or coffee Blush; DH who I thought knew things says drugs. I'll have to LTB, no?

BOOreOfWOOObylon · 26/10/2014 20:29

Thank goodness for iplayer! Have caught up. Suppose it's possible Heatherpet has just fallen down the stairs or somesuch - there was no Doom Music after all.

Anyone else think Chipolata Boy might do the Prodigal Son returning from Canada thing at Christmas, only to find that he has been well and truly usurped? (Is there a Shakespearean prodigal usurping?)

And couldn,t help thinking WHAT IF Alistair and Jess have 'discovered' each other? Weekend Conferences? Yeah, right.

unitarian · 26/10/2014 20:30

Yes, there was mention on there being no water where water usually is so I suspect there is a tie in with sump holes and underground springs. Maybe BL is draining off the groundwater or something and Ed is going to be in for massive compensation. (I so want something good to happen to Ed.)

I think they're now going to be told route B is so prone to subsidence that it's not going to happen. If HeatherPet really is deaded then there's no actual need to move. Or is there.....?

Interesting that Shula is the greedy sister and Lizzie is now determined on attaining sainthood.

Alistair is definitely up to something and they're holding that plotline in reserve because they couldn't possibly fit another one in right now, could they?

unitarian · 26/10/2014 20:33

I too wondered if Alistair was shacking up with Jess at weekends then decided it was too far-fetched. But if someone else had the same thought.....

BOOreOfWOOObylon · 26/10/2014 20:38

Grin unitarian

But then we wouldn't get enormously pregnant Jess in her taffetta gown and askew tiara haunting titchyKnob at the Hunt Ball. And I am soooo looking forward to that.

PumpkinGordino · 26/10/2014 20:41

all those conferences... is he planning to move into veterinary research or something? they're expensive to attend even if they are on a weekend

(though we know conferences is bullshit)

BringYourOwnSnowman · 26/10/2014 20:51

Maybe Alastair has a second family

PumpkinGordino · 26/10/2014 20:54

i'm not sure how much more shagging about i can handle

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 26/10/2014 20:59

I like to think that Shula is entirely clued up about the "conferences" and cannot wait for him to move out. It may be that the SWs want an amicable divorce without having to expend too much energy on Stables fallout.

The words "Ed" and "massive compensation" in the same sentence give me hope for the future. (Although I suspect it might more readily apply to what he has to pay Susan for the pumpkinned sofa.)

Icimoi · 26/10/2014 21:58

Alistair's being going off to these "conferences" for ages, hasn't he? I think BYOS is right, he's bigamously married with a wife and child installed somewhere in a lovenest

BringYourOwnSnowman · 26/10/2014 22:08

The only reason he stuck around was Daniel and then his dad went an moved into the area trapping him there!

Given who the new producer is I would expect his other wife to turn up with 3 kids in tow and a car fight to occur with Shula in the yard. If its good enough for walford...

BringYourOwnSnowman · 26/10/2014 22:10

Cat fight

Car fight would be interesting though

LillianGish · 26/10/2014 22:24

Heather dying is quite realistic - Ruth's been so busy faffing about over which farm to buy she has failed to spend anytime at all with her poor mum. Instead of crossing bridges when she comes to them she has put the cart before the horse and missed the point entirely. I must say though that new farm was starting to sound quite tempting so now they'll have to stay in Ambridge feeling completely unsettled.
Does anyone think Alistair might have been gambling again? I bet Shula's keen to get her hands on some cash if Brookfield is sold - didn't she have to remortgage the stables to bale Alistair out last time?

BasketzatDawn · 26/10/2014 22:31

Maybe the SW will read our comments here and have the divorce of A and S off air. To save money and our sensitivities. Alistair has been silent for ages. Maybe the actor has new exciting work elsewhere. He certainly never sounds excited in Ambridge!! I wonder of Usha will act for Shula. Grin Shurely not.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 26/10/2014 22:36

...If he hasn't been gambling I will hand in my badge.

(Possibly.)
