More Grundys.

More Ed n Emma.

Even more Charlie n Adam

Rupert...

And more Alice - just to challenge the SWs to portay Ambridge's (possibly) cleverest resident ever doing anything more challenging than blowing up balloons....

Lomaamina · 17/06/2014 21:17

Bring back the prof (surely he's Ambridge's cleverest resident?)

Sneezecakesmum · 17/06/2014 21:35

Ah. Rich, johns love child Grin

Bluestocking · 17/06/2014 21:41

Naughty, naughty scriptwriters! Juxtaposing that magnificent bull (presumably with all his bullish accoutrements in full view) with sex-starved Lizzie flirting with charming Charlie and being drooled over by randy Roy.
Does anyone else think that poor old Freddie is destined to grow up to be Ralph from The Fast Show's Ted and Ralph?

FiveGoMadInDorset · 17/06/2014 21:50

Roy is going to make a pass at Lizzie at the festival.

nauticant · 17/06/2014 22:01

That's good work there Bluestocking.

GypsyFloss · 18/06/2014 06:22

Grin Bluestocking. I think juxtaposition is the one thing they must have taught them at scriptwriting school. They do love it so.

OddFodd · 18/06/2014 07:23

I love the juxtaposition and the counterpoint - it's one of the things I cherish about the Archers. It's verging on post modern at time

ppeatfruit · 18/06/2014 08:47

Oh lordy I'll catch up today sounds like I missed a good one Grin

GypsyFloss · 18/06/2014 19:08

Oh dear I was right. Poor Ben. You next Peggy Grin

Bluestocking · 18/06/2014 19:14

Poor old Ben. Poor old Peggy. Shame Alistair didn't pop the needle into the shaved bit on Peggy's paw.

Bluestocking · 18/06/2014 19:14

Oh crikey, that is acting, that is!

Kirk1 · 18/06/2014 19:21

Poor Peggy. Sad perfect set-up for someone moving in with her though.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 18/06/2014 19:22

HmmSeems Kirstie's wail has raised the bar for Ambridge emoting....

GypsyFloss · 18/06/2014 19:28

What a load of wailing. Do you think they sit in planning meetings and work out who can have a go at wailing each week?

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 18/06/2014 19:32

Poor, poor Peggy. I was bawling along with her by the end there. Sad

Bluestocking · 18/06/2014 19:55

I think old Knobbo will suggest to Helen that they move in with Piggoi. Then the person he recruits to run the shop will be so competent that Helen can spend most of her time at home looking after Piggoi, the Magickal Pre-Schooler (that's Henry) and, in due course, the mini-Knobber.

GypsyFloss · 18/06/2014 20:03

Good thinking there. I definitely reckon there's a mini-Knobber on the cards soonish and the pregnancy will allow them to ramp up the emotional abuse. In fact the whole storyline could be a very decent promotion of Women's Aid and Safer Places . The Freedom Programme would be perfect for Helen.

FunLovinBunster · 18/06/2014 22:14

Dear Alistair.
Why the fuck didn't you do the decent thing and put that creaking narc Piggoi down along with the cat. The "oh I'm soooo lonleee" getting on my chesticles. Move into a coffin dodger home. Or euthanise.

Beehive52 · 18/06/2014 22:42

I think the person Rob is going to interview for the shop is someone he already has in mind, he was pretty quick to orchestrate his involvement...it may be a suitable vacancy for his latest bit on the side, someone he has already lined up......

Basilplant · 18/06/2014 22:51

Why is nobody asking about Rob's divorce??? Why?

GypsyFloss · 19/06/2014 06:21

I wonder whether Rob is going to say there are no suitable candidates anywhere for My Little Shoppe and suggest that he runs it himself. He knows he is on thin ice with Charlie so this would be a great way out..." I'm supporting my future wife and family through difficult times with their business".

stilllearnin · 19/06/2014 06:31

I am almost always wrong but I just can't see Rob running a shop. I don't think he'd want more status (in a mob bush way you understand - id be thrilled to run it). Even my dad is disgusted at the idea of Roy and Lizzie. If it happens I will cover my ears like a toddler!

WillieWaggledagger · 19/06/2014 07:56

would the income from the shop alone keep H&R in the manner to which they are accustomed? i assume rob's on a reasonable income, so probably not
