Roll up roll up for The Wedding special from Catheter Hall. Is the lark flying high? Will Krusty jam that ring on the porky finger?

Loving the no Pip bunting. I'll buy some of that. And string it around Darrell's neck Grin

re Brookfield. How long will it be before Daveed and Rooth get fed up with the rest of the family "just popping in to see dear old Mum"? I don't think they've really thought through the logistics of this. I think Daveed is being ruled by his greediness and the resulting opportunities to talk with his mouth full.

Davros · 28/04/2014 17:34

Love the bunting

Ewieindwie1 · 28/04/2014 18:53

And what is this beautiful thing? Bunting! And the level of debate is pretty amazing. Can't believe some of the detail.
By the way Roy was an appalling best man but did anyone else think Tom was getting cold feet at the Stag do?

Davros · 28/04/2014 19:07

Is there a difference between a Party Susan and a Lazy Susan?

Kirk1 · 28/04/2014 19:11

Am I the only one who wonders if Jennifer's kitchen is ever going to materialise? I'm getting the distinct impression she's been scammed.

nauticant · 28/04/2014 19:12

I can do without this intrusive and nosy Clarrie. That's definitely an imposter.

Burmahere · 28/04/2014 19:15

Rob getting his feet under the family table bleugh

Nasty, sneaky creep. Why bother with the Lodge when he can leapfrog straight to Bridge Farm?

Kirk1 · 28/04/2014 19:18

Have the script writers been lurking on the relationships board? They seem to have Rob perfect. He's following the script to the letter!

Ewieindwie1 · 28/04/2014 19:18

Rob was nauseating tonight, smarmy and unctuous. Himmler Helen almost deserves him. Thought Clarrie was most odd, not proper Clarrie at all x

nauticant · 28/04/2014 19:33

The annoying thing about fake Clarrie is that real Clarrie presents as an unsophisticated bumpkin but tucked away is a shrewd and compassionate character.

Davros · 28/04/2014 19:45

They can hardly be pissed off with everyone wanting to know more. If you don't tell people anything they will ask questions and when they don't get an answer they will make it up. It's not as if it was a private "do", they were all invited

Ewieindwie1 · 28/04/2014 20:52

I thought it was interesting that when Clarrie asked about Tom it was pretty clear that neither his parents nor his sister had seen him.... Clarrie wouldn't have put up with that. She keeps the lines of communication open. And her boys have had a few ups and downs that make Tom's behaviour pale into insignificance!

SenoritaViva · 28/04/2014 21:25

Rob was fantastic with his smooth operations. You can absolutely see his agenda and yet see how Helen is completely taken in. Beautifully acted I must say.

I don't think Helen would quite agree that Kirsty would be back to her old self soon, I have a friend who was dumped the day before the wedding and it took years for her and the family to get over it. It was seriously traumatic. I can see Rob referring to her over emotion etc, just ensuring that their friendship is never repaired as he isn't keen on Kirsty.

Burmahere · 28/04/2014 21:37

That's so sad Senorita. I wonder, do women ever do this to men? All the examples seem to be men fleeing at the last moment?

Icimoi · 28/04/2014 22:23

I agree about the potential for conflict at Brookfield. When Jill started talking about drawing up a rota, my thought is that Rooth needs to knock that one very firmly on the head before it starts, or they'll end up strangling each other.

Davros · 29/04/2014 07:54

I know I'd have told my MIL to do with her rota!

outtolunchagain · 29/04/2014 07:56

I know Tom is a pain but I do feel for him , I remember after John died how he frantically looked after john's pigs trying to make it all alright, trying to fill John's shoes, and how Pat and Tony ignored him .He gave up college , he even made a pass at Hayley at one time to take John's place .He watched Pat have a breakdown and Helen be vile to Hayley and then have a breakdown and then the whole Greg episode etc and the anorexia and the single mum stuff.

The irony is the John wasn't very nice at all , he was arrogant and he shagged around , he treated Hayley really badly and he certainly wasn't the golden boy they all remember .He bullied Tom dreadfully , Tom was only 16 and all Eco warrior etc .

JessieMcJessie · 29/04/2014 08:35

I think it's unrealistic that Pat and Tony deify John to the extent they do- they can't have forgotten all the grief he gave them and how he treated Hayley. I do hope that Tony apologises to Tom for his "John would be ashamed" comment. Wouldn't it be lovely to hear a scene between Hayley and Pat and Tony, or Tom, pointing out gently that John was no saint?

guineapiglet · 29/04/2014 08:41

yYou are right outtolunch, I remember John being a bit of a lad with his discos and shenanigans with Sharon on top of the hay wagon, he was very dismissive of Tom. He cheated on Hayley and was utterly besotted with the older temptress, Sharon, Mother of Kylie and Rich....Pat and Tony treated her terribly, she defo wasn't good enough for their darling boy.

EverybodysStressyEyed · 29/04/2014 09:06

I think the Rota was Jill's hint that she wasn't moving in to be their skivvy!

Abra1d · 29/04/2014 09:27

I can see Rob referring to her over emotion etc I know! The nerve. Kirsty somehow overreacting to being left at the church gate. She should just have got over it within 24 hours? I think not.

unitarian · 29/04/2014 11:37

Rob's got his eyes on the whole package of Bridge farm and Peggy's house now, hasn't he?

Cameron McSlither was Eddie's nickname for Lizzie's nemesis.

mummytime · 29/04/2014 13:39

Maybe that is why Rob and Jess split - when her Dad died there wasn't much of an inheritance?
