Roll up roll up for The Wedding special from Catheter Hall. Is the lark flying high? Will Krusty jam that ring on the porky finger?

Love this thread title.

I have finally got a new password for mn just to rejoin this thread. And I have told DP that he has to get home from work in good time on Thursday so he can do toddler bath time on his own and I can listen in real time because I HAVE TO KNOW (there was much eye rolling at this demand). I will be glued to this thread too.

I don't want a deading, I want a bit of a disaster wedding where they don't have the wedding they don't really want at Catheter Hall. But I fear that with Tom's clear second thoughts there may be a jilting, or they will go ahead and then be miserable (like Emmur and Will, so hasn't that been done already though?)

All this disastrous wedding buildup and things going wrong is making me very nervous indeed though as I am getting hitched myself in 3.5 weeks (ie a Saturday, not a Thursday, wtf?) . And I am also having a big white wedding which isn't really what I set out to have. Dum dum dum.... keep toddler DS away from my dress!

I'm unreasonably excited.... I'm sure now it will all go swimmingly and we'll all be disappointed.

I see it's started raining. I'll look daft in my thin jacket, I'm off out to Underwood's to get a brightly coloured mac.

Panzee You think you're getting into Catheridge Hall in a coloured mac?Shock You'll be shivering outside the gates waiting to raise a feeble cheer as the gentry ride by.

(I, of course, have borrowed something smart from Caroline - so my swagged, gilded, garlanded seat is safe.)

Hmm, maybe Lilian will lend me a fur?

Zero I'm assuming that the outfit you borrowed from Caroline is also swagged,

I've alwaysmaintained that Lillian is the fun Aunt I'd like to sit beside at a wedding. I'll probably bum a fag off her after all the drama.

How very dare you! No, it's actually vintage Issey Miyake - carefully preserved since she realised that Oliver just doesn't have the right sort of friends....

Caroline herself will be wearing something sleek and unadorned, put together by a little tailor just off Mount St.

I'm with Lillian Gish (love the name, makes me think of Smashing Pumpkins), although it technically is a rebound relationship, I've been waiting for them to get back together for years.

And I like Kirsty, I don't want all the doom. At least not on her wedding day! Still holding out for a ramshackle church hall reception. Maybe freak flooding that will cut Ambridge off?

I think all the foreshadowing of doom is just to trick us and everything will go smoothly. And the mani-pedi pheasant deading was just a sign that underneath the wedding craziness, Kirsty is a sensible country girl who will make a fine Archer bride.

T & K do suit each other pretty well, and Kirsty manages to stop him talking about pigs all the time.

I was shouting 'DOOM' all the way through last night's ep, but hope they're just toying with us and it all goes smoothly.

What colour was K's nail polish?

Report
BitOutOfPractice · 23/04/2014 17:03

It was just a touch of pink. Shell pink it was called when I was young. Ie a colour that nobody in RL wears any more

Oh Lord, I have not caught up yet and I don't know if I am emotionally robust enough for the ribena/dress incident.

Can I join too? Is the actual event during this evenings episode or Thursday evening?

Fwiw I think Tom's going to jilt, but I hope not.

I think the porky finger is a symptom of some 'or rile disease [dooom]
