Will this thread make it to the wedding? Will it outlive Tony?

Just knew Rob Titchnob would be all gung ho for a lap dancing club, fair play to Ian for steering them elsewhere.

I slightly lost track of who was doing what there but if the last scene was what I think .... BWAHAHAHA couldn't happen to a nicer bloke.

I will start taking bets if you like Wink

Wasn't it Kenton being put on the train?

Report
guineapiglet · 26/03/2014 19:38

I thought it was Kenton they had put on a train!?! And also wondered whether it was Eurostar or the overnighter up to Scotland!

In terms of fanciable characters ( from the excellent quiz) - I always thought Ifty sounded like a lovely chap, and also Ruth's Cowman, Sam had a great voice, and a 'Mellors' type quality about him. Hopefully the new PC will also be a viable alternative, to, er, Tom....Shock

  1. The Archer I would like to marry is
    a) Kenton
    b) Elizabeth
    c) Tom
    d) Jill

    OMFG are those the choices?

    Can I marry Alan?

Yes, I think it was KentonAbstainingFrom BoozeForLent who was pished and put on train. I'll look out for him in Scotland tomorrow ..... I think not Eurostar as security quite tight there, isn't it? and they were in Brum not London.

What is Tom up to? The thread may not last till that memorable date but will the couple either? Poor Kirsty indeed. Will it be conscious or unconscious uncoupling?! Did Helen ring Tom, or other way round? A bit weird phoning your sis from stag do. Not weird Helun keeping eye on Tit though! I'd imagined another bust up between Ian and Tit, cos I thought he was drunk at the dinner party and he would be now too, but Ian on good behaviour. Not amazed by NastyTit wanting to go to lap club.

Last week were, over dinner, discussing how to jazz up TA a bit. We - well ds4 who has encyclopaedic knowledge of The Simpsons - reckoned a house-swap between Police Chief Whigham and PC Burns.

BTW, wasn't Bethany stuck in car in a ford a few weeks ago too?

Do you think it was Tit that was put on train then?

I agree with others above that the telling the teens about pregnancy story was bit too smooth. Shame the BBC didn't have the actors (for Josh and Ben) in the budget this week. I can understand Elizabeth being quite pleased though.

LOL at Will it be conscious or unconscious uncoupling?!

Kirsty should never have let Ifty go, I do seem to remember Susan's sister having a crack at him, before Lizzy got in there.... or she should have made a move on Patrick, the Borsetshire Wildlife guy, he sounded more up her street. It is obviously all going to go pear shaped with Brenda singing 'It should have been me' at the wedding.........Biscuit

Surely they wouldn't do that to Kirsty? After she's waited so long?

I couldn't tell if it was Rob or Kenton who was put on the train - I was hoping the former. The thing is, Kenton knew he was drinking alcohol and having been had once (though how anyone could manage to not smell a G&T is beyond me) he'd surely have been on his guard against further tricks. Whereas Rob, the perpetrator of that particular brand of nasty unfunny prank wouldn't be expecting the tables to be turned on him.

Whichever though, full marks to Jazzer for evidently having protected Tom from the spiking.

i got in a total muddle about who was where!

i'm sure it was kenton on the train as the trailer for tomorrow said that he would be 'feeling far from home' or similar

bloody bloody tom

I thought it was Kenton being packed off to Glasgow, but oh joy, maybe it was Titchyknob. That would be simply awesome, especially if he's been debagged prior to being tucked into his seat.
I am certain Tom's got cold feet - and I think Kirsty may be mightily relieved. The actress is doing a fine job of playing someone who's expressing a sort of fragile, febrile jollity that really doesn't ring true.

AllMimsyWereTheBorogroves · 26/03/2014 20:18

Definitely Kenton on the train. Rob thought it was funny. I have a complete sense of humour failure at the idea of spiking another person's drinks, so I was po-faced throughout. It would have been lovely to hear Rob subjected to some sort of humiliation but I hope that's being saved up.

Does not look good for Tom and Kirsty at all, does it?

Report
Bluestocking · 26/03/2014 20:25

Not "poor Kirsty" at all? She is on a runaway wedding train, she's lost sight of her real self, and if the Chipolata Kid does pull out now (sorry) it will be the best possible outcome (sorry again).

AllMimsyWereTheBorogroves · 26/03/2014 20:30

Well, yes, given a choice between going ahead with a marriage which will fail or calling it off a few weeks beforehand (but after the invitations have gone out), of course anyone with sense would go for the latter. But what has poor fictional Kirsty done to the SWs to merit being dumped over and over and over again? Tom once before; Sam the loathsome cowman; Chaba the keen young Hungarian; the chap she was living with quite recently whose name escapes me; the list goes on. Patrick the birdman never showed any interest in her in spite of being a good friend.

Come on, SWs, give her a happy ending!

No Kirsty has to marry Tom - he will be insufferable without her. Also Kenton will be fine but yes I hate those 'stunts' too. He will find loads of chocolate wrappers when he looks for something in Jolene's handbag.

So what about Jazzer and Fallon - my dream couple I reckon. I absolutely love Jazzer and would find him irresistible. If he can play the pipes I'd be his tomorrow. (obv hoping dp does not glance over my shoulder at this moment). Presumably Ian and Rob will have a morning after bust up over breakfast.

Lets hope the impending nuptials flush Patrick out of his hide and he declares his undying love in time....

Talking of which, Jazzer's still pining for Fallon, isn't he?

Would be more in character for Rob to entrain someone than Kenton. Rats. Jazzer I can forgive - well, he's Jazzer but with Rob its meanness not high spirits.
