Will this thread make it to the wedding? Will it outlive Tony?

Rob is a git. Needs no essay to say that and my alter ego.......tricky.....possibly Shula unfortunately. Kate is closest to me in age though. We've been pregnant together every time. I live in fear of her getting up duffed again.

Bluestocking · 25/03/2014 21:15

You've left out Nasty Sanctimonious Old Cow, who was at her worst this evening hectoring poor Tony about Consumptive Cow (or do we prefer Tubercular Cow?). Of course he didn't know it had TB when he bought it, you daft old bat.

Northernlurker · 25/03/2014 21:18

Comeintothegarden - you got the same answers as me - you pass Grin

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 25/03/2014 21:23

Yes, I thought I might scrape through on that basis. And do please call me Maud.

Panzee · 25/03/2014 21:24

Maybe he did deliberately buy diseased cows to sabotage the pigs.... :o

LillianGish · 25/03/2014 21:28

At risk of repeating something I said on previous thread. I think something will happen as a result of Tom failing to notify about his pigs being in contact with infectious cows. Having now established (somewhat patronisingly!) that Tony did make relevant checks when buying cows she will be furious that Tom could be so thoughtless and the tables will begin to turn ...

TypicaLibra · 25/03/2014 21:37

Feel highly frustrated with scriptwriters. Why have they so got it in for poor old Tony? Why does he have to 'get his comeuppance' for sticking his metaphorical two fingers up at Tom?

Hope that before the end of the year, Tom gets disinherited by Peggy (in favour of Tony)

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 25/03/2014 21:52

Ooh, ooh!

Pick the most suitable act for the Lower Loxley music festival
a) Cud
b) The Vaccines
c) Wild Beasts
d) The Milk

You have £20k to be spent on a round the world trip for educational or career development purposes. Who do you give it to?
a) Emma (NVQ in Clean Technologies)
b) Baby Snellamy (Foundation Studies in Anthropology and Tribal Relations)
c) Helen (Advanced Escapology)
d) Maurice (Research Project "The Souls of Animals".)

WillieWaggledagger · 25/03/2014 22:26

I would have to marry Kenton. He's at least reasonably jolly though I find him irritating

Tom would be under the patio before the end of the wedding breakfast

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 25/03/2014 22:36

Oh. I wrote out my answers and then the dog ate them. :(

Two pages already before I even found the thread!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 25/03/2014 22:49

Exactly, Willie. In a choice between Kenton and Tom, it has to be Kenton.

If I had to pick an Archer it'd have to be David - the right age for me, fit as shown by the sports relief thing and obviously fully functioning.

northender · 25/03/2014 23:11

Marking my spot

PseudoBadger · 25/03/2014 23:12

I'm afraid my alter ego is probably Emmur.

OP posts:
Northernlurker · 25/03/2014 23:36

Errol - that's why I didn't put David in! I SO would Wink

I'm going for Cud and Helen's escapology btw.

OddFodd · 25/03/2014 23:36

Great thread title :)

What an action-packed episode. I can't be the only person who answers 1a can I? It's got to be 1/3 of the thread, surely!

I'd marry Kenton of that lot and give £20k to the saintly Maurice

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 26/03/2014 00:21

  1. a With occasional thoughts of d for distant family...,
  2. c, never pick up the books but not above glancing at website stuff....
  3. c Or possibly d as I am spiritually Lillian (crossed with Jim)
  4. b, Would be a sham marriage - but I want to live at LL....
  5. d But it's a perfect name for a tractor.

Cud will be performing "Rich and Strange"Grin

TheShimmeringPussycat · 26/03/2014 00:54

I was a bit like Kate in my youth Blush though much less cool, and as I am a Babyboomer old hippy my salad days were a few years earlier than hers.

These days I am more like Lynda Snell - kind-hearted but ultimately a bossy know-it-all.

I have channelled Lynda Snell a few Christmases ago. I found an Archers board game in TK Max in the November, and made the family play it. According to the roll of the dice, you had to play it in character, including all spoken interaction. Since only DM and I were fans, the game was not too successful, though then H did a fair job of being Joe Grundy.

Nigel is probaby my Archers soul brother but without a stately pile and with an opposition to bloodsports.

Swannykazoo · 26/03/2014 08:48

Can I add my quiz question?
You and your beloved need a place of your own. Do you:
a) move into one of the bijou and charmingly decorated cottages on the farm for free?
b) use moneysupermarket to calculate maximum mortgage you can sensibly afford without having to eat spam and buy a do-er upper in Meadow Rise, next to the McCrearys
c)use moneysupermarket to calculate maximum mortgage you can sensibly afford, realise you can't afford anything, rent a yuppie flat from Amside and wait till your parents are too doddery to run their farm
d) Move into the caravan that has conceived Rich, Kiera etc
e) Ask Bank of Gran
