TA is in a purple patch at the moment, rewarding listeners for wading through the dross of the previous year few months. Welcome all!

Ruth has always been miserable - domestically or otherwise.

SomewhereBeyondTheSea · 15/02/2014 12:17

Jolene giving out condoms in the Bull Shock - what would Sid say Shock

AllMimsyWereTheBorogroves · 15/02/2014 12:46

Somewhere, I think that's the first time the word has ever been used on TA. Better that than the usual heavy breathing and sighing to indicate that sex might be in the offing!

BoreOfWhabylon · 15/02/2014 13:20

Condoms? Really? Shock

I missed that bit - was totally caught up in Hellin/Jess!

AllMimsyWereTheBorogroves · 15/02/2014 13:27

Yes, she was handing out party bags to her singletons.

SomewhereBeyondTheSea · 15/02/2014 13:44

It was right at the beginning of the episode, before Helen started getting quizzed about the provenance of Rob's soft furnishings Grin

BoreOfWhabylon · 15/02/2014 13:53

Thanks! Something else for me to listen out for tomorrow morning then Grin

FunLovinBunster · 15/02/2014 14:17

Looking at next week listings, Sunday: Helen has a lot on her mind. Later on in the week it's all about Tony....

  1. Chunt will deny it and say Jess aka the Stepford One is unhinged.
  2. Hellin will be too ashamed to tell anyone.
  3. The next few months will see Hellin fight the Stepford One for possession of the Chunt.
Bring it on.
ComposHat · 15/02/2014 15:29

3. The next few months will see Hellin fight the Stepford One for possession of the Chunt.Bring it on.

R. Rob suggests Hellin & Jess settle it by wrestling nude in a massive vat of custard. Organic of course.

cheminotte · 15/02/2014 15:37

I really don't see how Rob can explain how Jess knew he was away that Thursday. Brilliant episode especially the juxtaposition of the two settings.

NorthernLurker · 15/02/2014 17:24

Loved last night's episode. I had the whole family hooked as we were all in the car travelling North. Handily we were just pulling in to Macdonalds as the episode ended.

WillieWaggledagger · 15/02/2014 19:40

Compos it would have to be black currant yoghurt I think

Redcliff · 15/02/2014 20:26

Loved it - DP was coming up the stairs and my gasp at Jess coming back made him run into the bedroom to see what was wrong. . I think that Rob will say that Jess is mad and he did go there to discuss divorce (or similar) and he was worried about Jess so stayed but didn't want Helen to worry hence story. She will 99% believe him (as she is so deluded) but that 1% will niggle...

Panzee · 15/02/2014 20:38

Oh, PC Dumped is PC Plot? Good stuff, hopefully a new running mate for Jazzer.

Humming The Odd Couple now...

Songbird · 15/02/2014 23:08

redcliff I think you've nailed it!

WipsGlitter · 16/02/2014 08:58

I agree he will spin her some line and she will believe it. Plus the fact she was drunk - he will say she's an alcoholic and elicit more sympathy.

I'm a bit disappointed the denouement came so quickly.

Do we think there's a third woman in the wings??

TemperamentalAroundCorvids · 16/02/2014 09:10

Did no-one else think it was interesting that PC Plot was dumped by high-maintenance Justine?

Martorana · 16/02/2014 09:14

He's going to tell Helen that Jess is an alcoholic, and so completely unreliable.

But that's OK, because as she's in Ambridge, all she has to do to stop being an alcoholic is have a quick chat with Eddie Grundy and eat one of Clarrie's roast dinners..........

Bluestocking · 16/02/2014 09:19

I can't see PC Burns being man enough to lure Jazzer away from Jim.

SomewhereBeyondTheSea · 16/02/2014 10:55

Tom really is a grasping little oik isn't he. Peggy is discovering the downside of 'making her intentions clear' - constant demands for an advance from the spoilt Bridge Farm duo.

TheOneWithTheNicestSmile · 16/02/2014 11:03

"with the best man I could ever hope for"
"I feel exactly the same"

clever. very clever.

Lilymaid · 16/02/2014 11:03

My plot line for the Hellin/Jess/Rob story.

  1. Hellin believes Jess
  2. Story gets out and Rob is either run out of town by Archers clan or "accidentally" shot by Will Grundy (replay of old Tom Forrest story).
  3. Hellin and Jess become a couple
  4. Jess borrows Hellin's miraculous turkey baster and produces a step sibling for Henry
  5. They live happily ever after in the Lodge (?) once Peggoi has departed/ been dumped in the Laurels
Songbird · 16/02/2014 11:41

Yes 'theone', I noticed that!

Redcliff · 16/02/2014 11:42

Oh Snow - I hope so. I want the Hel&Rob storyline to last for a while as I am so gripped. Also intrigued about the new copper - I can't see what he is being brought in for which I like - perhaps they are getting away from clunky plot devices unless he gets involved in Hel&Rob DV storyline.

ComposHat · 16/02/2014 12:10

Oooh apologies if anyone has mentioned it already but....

PC Burns's girlfriend pissed off and left him in the Bull after getting a call from an ex-boyfriend.

What are the odds that it was a booty call from Rob?
