Tony does sound like Rob - as I said on the other thread I miss the old Tony Sad.

I can only identify new Tony by the company he is keeping.

I caught at lunch today and even bloody Robert sounded different . All growly.

Tom was rather lovely with Peggy but the cynic in me wondered what he was angling for . Peggy very much likes the Tom/ Kirsty combo and has them set up in her mind as the future important couple.

What have I missed tonight? My need for chocolate outweighed by desire to listen :)

I didn't know those two things were mutually exclusive, Gypsy Grin

I was thinking that humph - there's a certain timbre (is that the right word?) that makes them difficult to tell apart sometimes

Was it on this thread that someone noted that Tom is te eldest archer of his generation, so maybe setting him up as the future patriarch?

I agree. Tom was being more annoying than usual yesterday with his 'gran' this 'gran' that all over the shop and her dewy eyed wonder at his sausage empire making skills was completely OTT.

And Tony does indeed sound like Rob.

Wasn't tonight toecurlingly cringeworthy? Fab storyline. The scales are (nearly) fallen off the nut cutlet and her eeyorish husband's eyes. Though why they haven't said anything about Henry being set up for an even greater blow than his wretched mother is beyond me.

Tom's seems to have a genuinely great relationship with Peggy - in the past she's bailed him out financially but not in a blank-cheque signing sort of way - so part of it is that he still treats her as a person whose opinion he values in all sorts of ways. Its great to have a (very) old character making pertinent comments about running a business and being respected!

Tom does seem to have grown up a lot (and got nicer too) lately - Kirsty's good influence, but then anyone will look good next to Hellin.

I don't think NewTony sounds anything like Rob. Agree that Robert has sounded different recently though.

I bet Neil will come up with something to surprise Susan - but he won't torment her deliberately with those awful 'misunderstandings' you suggest - he's far too decent a chap for that.

I think our anticipation of Darrell's demise was mistaken - with Eddie, Robert and Neil on-side he's got to get sorted!

x-post - I'm obviously way less cynical than some of you! Grin

Not when it comes to Rob though - loved Kirsty's asides during dinner and Pat's dig about Eddie and Clarrie Grin.

Right thread title is urgent. Can I have your suggestions please?

Sorry to intrude...

Is the Archers the Radio 4 programme?
Only I am working in a GP Community blood test room covering for a colleague, and the radio is on playing R4. I have been there for a few weeks now, and on the first day, the Archers came on, and there was a sex scene with lots of shouting and breathing! Grin I was bleeding a young, good looking chap, and he had a face like this Blush

Just thought I would share

Kirsty's doing an advert! Her voice is on one of those buy a million parts for hundreds of pounds magazines for cupcakes or sweets,or something. It's most disconcerting!

I'm big fab of Tom and Kirsty and definitely agree that he seems much nicer and happier with her.

I'll get thinking Pseudo but it's not really my strong point.

I am genuinely over excited to have found this thread! I am a total addict and know nobody else who is. Destruction of hellin and rob before, after, or at the wedding of the year?? Cannot bear the Ed Will storyline- I actually want them to get on for a change! Also who is Henry's dad because I'm not sure it was anonymous- I think it may have been Ian and I can't see him standing for it if Rob is a wrong'un.

Carzynanna you can always listen on iplayer. I catch-up when I first get to work while I'm deleting reading all my emails and having a cuppa.

Also handy if you've missed a few episodes.
