I think just Bellamy. Both families surely would think the double barrelled somewhat arriviste. [Irony emoticon]

Ginfox · 09/01/2014 10:37

Can't bear James or Leonie. I think a combined surname - Snellamy.

LondonMother · 09/01/2014 12:35

Snellamy! Grin

Bluestocking · 09/01/2014 13:59

Snellamy is genius!

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 09/01/2014 19:05

Mud, sweat and weaners....

JaneEyresHeir · 09/01/2014 19:08

Ambushed in Ambridge!

ErrolTheDragon · 09/01/2014 19:15

Oh - a Passion play upcoming

JaneEyresHeir · 09/01/2014 19:18

'Poor' Susan - her hopes raised, only to be dashed once more Grin

"I know my place."

ErrolTheDragon · 09/01/2014 19:20

Well at least now Neil has had it spelled out to him - hopefully he'll come up with something more than a weekend in Minehead (though I wouldn't mind one of those at all - lovely walks and pubs on Exmoor, probably not Susan's thing)

JaneEyresHeir · 09/01/2014 19:29

Errol my friend and I had a great walking holiday in Exmoor a couple of years ago. We stayed in a NT property at Selworthy!

Minimammoth · 09/01/2014 19:48

Perhaps they'll do the place name thing, if it's a boy they could call him....Ambridge. Ambridge Bellamy, it has a ring.
Or go for fruit, Plum, or something abstract like Blue.

ErrolTheDragon · 09/01/2014 20:01

(Lovely teashop in Selworthy. Its not all pubs! Grin)

JaneEyresHeir · 09/01/2014 20:20

Would that be the Periwinkle Tea Room Errol?

ErrolTheDragon · 09/01/2014 20:25

Of course! Particularly nice if you get there as part of a walk all over Nar' Hill (as I've been taught to call North Hill) Smile

Bluestocking · 09/01/2014 21:02

I'm looking forward to lots more hilarious misunderstandings as Susan's hopes for an exotic holiday are dashed over and over again.
Neil looks for a manila envelope - the Philippines?
Susan overhears a conversation between Kenton and Neil about running The Bull - Pamplona?
Susan thinks a cruise might be in the offing - only to find herself at a retrospective dedicated to one of Hollywood's favourite leading men, sitting through Risky Business, Top Gun and Cocktail.

I feel like I'm channelling my Dad here. " Susan we're going to Rome...around the fields" Grin The potential is endless.

LondonMother · 09/01/2014 22:23

"Susan, how about going to see shells.."

"Oh, Neil!"

"... at Weston..."

Bluestocking · 09/01/2014 22:34

There's got to be some mileage in Maurice the sausage maker and Mauritius but I'm too tired to find it. Confused

ppeatfruit · 10/01/2014 09:40

Wouldn't it be nice if EdnEmm with a little of their savings and Neil gave her a surprise trip to Italy or Turkey esp. as E&E owe Suse a lot!

ErrolTheDragon · 10/01/2014 09:43

What savings? they're living in Susan's Dream Home because they're skint. Frankly every penny they can save needs to go into getting his business finances firm. But if they can help with Susan and Neil's jobs while he whisks her away that'd be great!

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 10/01/2014 16:19

It is odd. Neil has never been portrayed as having much imagination - but he certainly doesn't lack intelligence, or emotional intelligence. And they've shown in the past that he completely understands how different his wife is to him; so it's a real oversight that they hardly seem to have been outside Borsetshire, or even Ambridge, more than about once a decade, except for necessary shopping.

Not surprising that Susan is getting restive.

ppeatfruit · 10/01/2014 18:57

Errol true

Susan did have a lovely birthday party recently with jewellery! Zero

HumphreyCobbler · 10/01/2014 19:43

Someone has just started a thread on this very subject, but does no one else on here think that New Tony sounds the same as Rob? It is so annoying.

PseudoBadger · 10/01/2014 19:46

He sounds like Paul sometimes (god rest his soul)
