Is anyone else transposing old Tony's voice onto new Tony?

Adjustment is hard. (Although I think the new one will be fine when I get used to him...)

ErrolTheDragon · 08/01/2014 19:15

Meanwhile - give a dog-killer a bad name and hang him...

NorthernLurker · 08/01/2014 19:15

Ah and Ed agrees with me.

GypsyFloss · 08/01/2014 19:17

New Tony is growing on me.

Rob sounded so very creepy when he talking to Helen about how he will always look after her. Divide and rule. Step number one for a DV scenario.

Bluestocking · 08/01/2014 19:20

I like the new less-Moany Tony. Although during his first episode was wondering why there was a strange man in Pat's kitchen.
Helen is in so much trouble, isn't she? Who would have thought that she would ever dream of palming the Baby Cheeses off on a stranger (even a stranger who is missing his own children) so she could have a quick knee-trembler in the mega-dairy office.

ErrolTheDragon · 08/01/2014 19:20

Gypsy - yes and the bit about pat 'goading' her into spilling the beans.

standsonshiftingsands · 08/01/2014 19:23

The bloomin' window cleaner knocked on the door and I missed the thing about the dog - what happened?

JaneEyresHeir · 08/01/2014 19:33

Zero - yes, I'm doing that!
Hoping to get used to new Tony soon.

NorthernLurker · 08/01/2014 19:35

Ed threw a ball and Holly the dog for Christmas not just for a storyline, fell in the pond accordingly Hmm George blames Ed. Emma comforted George and he said basically that Ed killed Baz and now has it in for Holly. George wouldn't listen to Emma at all. Ed thinks (and I'm sure he's right) that doubt has been sown in George's mind by Will (who no doubt was pissed off by the dog who saved Christmas situation)

NorthernLurker · 08/01/2014 19:35

Holly was fine btw.

ErrolTheDragon · 08/01/2014 19:38

TBF the doubt may have been sown in George's mind by Ed shooting a dog (no accident) - but watered by Will I'm sure.

NorthernLurker · 08/01/2014 19:39

Watered, had a nice bit of manure and then had a polytunnel built all around it by Will!

ErrolTheDragon · 08/01/2014 19:39

(I don't care how obnoxious Will is, I'm not forgiving Ed for that. Can't believe that he seems to have got away with it apart from the family ructions.)

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 08/01/2014 19:45

Holly, Holly, Holly...

My brain has decided that Holly is a new Grundy baby. (Human type.) So I often look like this Confused when she is in the story.

How can she run so fast? How can she be chasing things already?

ErrolTheDragon · 08/01/2014 19:46

How can she run so fast? How can she be chasing things already?
even more 'advanced' than Keira the infant prodigy Grin

JollyGolightly · 08/01/2014 19:48

Have I missed will and Nic's reactions to Holly the Christmas puppy, or were we not privy?

GypsyFloss · 08/01/2014 19:54

Helen and Pat are two peas in an organic pod. Helen blamed her mother into goading her to spill the beans and Pat blamed Rob for leading Hellqueen astray.

PseudoBadger · 08/01/2014 20:05

Oh yes Gypsy, we've seen how nasty he could be to Jess. This could be a nice long runner, a few weeks years down the line will Helen get the same treatment?

OP posts:
GypsyFloss · 08/01/2014 20:13

I really hope they do run with this one. The actress who plays Helen is excellent and I think she could do it justice.

nennypops · 08/01/2014 20:30

I wondered a bit when Rob was rejoicing in the fact that Helen could now meet up with him and come to his house without any complications. Only something tells me she's going to find it a lot harder to find babysitters now, and I bet Rob won't take too kindly to having Henry trailing along all the time.

SomewhereBeyondTheSea · 08/01/2014 20:35

Errol - I'm with you on the dog situation. Shooting that dog is unforgivable.

MrsCampbellBlack · 08/01/2014 20:42

Me too, honestly paranoid Ed - don't shoot dogs and then your step-son wouldn't have reason to dislike you. I still think Ed was very lucky not to be prosecuted for that to be honest. And the whole christmas puppy and Emma's lies over getting it still annoy me.

And yes to creepy Rob already trying to create distance between Pat and Helen. I did keep wondering who the other bloke was though.

ErrolTheDragon · 08/01/2014 20:46

Well, its not paranoia - Will is out to get him. But making the latter out to be the bad guy when ed is the wife-stealing dog shooter annoys me. Doing that to your brother and cruelty to animals is worse than grumpiness in my book.

MrsCampbellBlack · 08/01/2014 20:51

I totally agree Errol. And Emma and her lies - will she ever stop? My 'husband' the farmer.

MissFenella · 08/01/2014 20:54

Oh Will is super creepy though. He has a love and a child with her, he needs to let go and stop playing the strange speaking victim.
I recall that it was always Ed who had the hots for Emma and Will, who had never shown an interest, stormed in waving his cash around just to piss Ed off. He tried to best his brother and got badly burned, no wonder he is so bitter. But, there is no excuse for mangling vowles the way he does.
