I expect Jill will be grounded from driving until she's had her cataracts done.

SthingMustBeScaringThemAway · 25/11/2013 23:02

It's worse than cataracts.Sad There was a spoiler.....

Gigondas · 25/11/2013 23:40

Oh no- I like Jill.Sad

Panzee · 26/11/2013 02:11

Oh no spoilers please! :(

SthingMustBeScaringThemAway · 26/11/2013 07:43

Don't worry Panzee - it was just a tiny thing on the BBC site, which I may have misinterpreted......

BitOutOfPractice · 26/11/2013 07:54

Jill seems to have had a complete personality change as well as completely forgetting how to act

Gigondas · 26/11/2013 08:11

Why did hell queen introduce rob to miracle baby? it was asking for trouble. I know it's a village but she didn't have to go out of her way to let Henry spend time with rob . Also last night just served to highlight what a charmless twit he is so how he has two women involved I don't know .

After the Aibu about mil knocking over your ds,imagine the relationship thread about seeing a married man and introducing your ds to him in a matter of weeks.

BitOutOfPractice · 26/11/2013 08:17

To be fair to hellin though which obviously nobody wants to be Miracle Baby got up know Rob when he and hellin were just friends and he seemed to be becoming a friend of the family

ErrolTheDragon · 26/11/2013 08:34

Yes - they started out as friends, and I think Rob's liking for Helen and Henry as a pair increased his dissatisfaction with Jess not wanting to come to Ambridge and start a family.

Gigondas · 26/11/2013 09:29

I did think that bit but you are right, can't quite bring myself to be fair to hellin.
Why rob thought any good would come of confronting the loon beats me?

BitOutOfPractice · 26/11/2013 09:45

I know, being fair to her really stuck in my craw!

ppeatfruit · 26/11/2013 15:59

pilcrow Hellin has been being horrible to little King Henry too hasn't she? (she is starting to sound like a Bunny Boiler now i must say "I luuuuuurve him" OMG )

MrsCampbellBlack · 26/11/2013 18:57

But you know the sex was 'oooooh mind blowing' and somehow I listened to that episode twice [shudders]

GypsyFloss · 26/11/2013 21:04

Oh lucky, lucky you MrsCampbellBlack

Gigondas · 27/11/2013 12:46

So what exactly will go tits up for Darrell with his job?

SthingMustBeScaringThemAway · 27/11/2013 13:11

You really want to know?

He will fail to declare the income. Some old building enemy (maybe a dog fight mate) will dob him in to the benefits people. They will stop the benefits and start an investigation. Shula will do "hurt" face. Alistair and Dan will snub from an almighty height. On the first night of the panto when everyone else is occupied poor Darrell, drunk on terror and cheap booze, will decide to mend something in a far corner of The Stables. Christmas morning they'll find his hard, cold body.Sad

I expect payment in full if they use this story of course.

Gigondas · 27/11/2013 13:15

GrinGrin That was a much more vivid version of what might happen.

It won't be as mundane as him getting to site and being turned away/ having a panic attack.

PseudoBadger · 27/11/2013 13:43

Ooo ooo I know! He'll get to site, have a panic attack at height and fall to his timely death. Thus raising awareness of the unacceptable number of deaths in the construction industry, and mental health issues.

Pseudo he cant fall! We've done falling....

Anyway Darrell is basically over already. It's Dan eloping with Rosa that I'm looking forward to. (Particularly now he has even more money to run around the world with...) He will feel desperately guilty and eager to offer her the protection of his name......

ErrolTheDragon · 27/11/2013 14:36

Maybe this time though they'd have him fall and be seriously disabled - if they're going to ever break out of the die-instantly or recover-astonishingly quickly ambridge norm, who better to do it to than poor old Darryl.

LondonMother · 27/11/2013 15:12

There's only one disability I'll accept if Darrell stays in the programme, and that's severance of the vocal chords.

ppeatfruit · 27/11/2013 15:40

Are Dan and Rosa an item then? Sthing I thought that Jamie was going out with her? Did I miss something?

TheOriginalSteamingNit · 27/11/2013 15:42

sthing that is brilliant Grin

SthingMustBeScaringThemAway · 27/11/2013 16:46

They're not yet an item. But it was the casual way the SWs dropped her name onto Dan's lips as he arrived home.... I think we can assume that rich, clever Dan could filtch her from under Jamie's nose without the slightest stirring of effort.

And otherwise what, really, is the point of Darrell's family? Why go to so much trouble to introduce them and keep them on display if they're not being woven right into the heart of the Archers' future?

I've only just properly realised that Dan is .... DAN. Future patriarch of the entire Archers clan. Where did Doris come from? And how beautiful would it be if the new Dan's future wife is the daughter of an "obscure" Polish immigrant and a despairing petty criminal?

PseudoBadger · 27/11/2013 17:19

Ha yes, and Alastair, so desperate to see the back of Darrell, is forced to encounter him at family gatherings forever more!
