Divatheshopaholic · 05/02/2010 17:13

nicolamumof3 · 05/02/2010 17:20

it would be i wish they did he bjcm in more 'subtle' colours. i love brown prams.

tate fitted fine in zapp at 3yr your ds would be fine he's not two yet is he?

and yes i do love the rattly wheels like a littly land train chugging along haha!

thanks for the ben10 definition 5in

5inthebed · 05/02/2010 17:32

I think the colours on the BJCM are a bit naff. I do like the blue/grey though.

maxybrown · 05/02/2010 18:08

Hello! Well I saw the little 6 week old baby today, she was sweet. Ds kept loving her and stroking her head, then cried when they went, think he thought he was taking her home

I am loving my BJCE!! Love love love it! Basl, I have to take the wheel off to get it through my Mum's front door I thought of you. Ds looks sooooooo cofortable in it. Must upload the pics. I have sport version in black and stone, nice

I hate rattly wheels too!! Grrrr.

DH is getting us chinese tonight yum scrum!

nicolamumof3 · 05/02/2010 18:13

oh bless your ds maxy! there is nothing nicer then seeing my boys when they are 'loving each other' sometimes they just sit on sofa holding hands or tate will spontaneously kiss luka is v.cute.

Note the 'sometimes' tho

i've just tidied up after spag bol for dinner!! you can imagine the mess. Tate is asking for his bath already they are shattered today.

maxybrown · 05/02/2010 18:23

I was quite proud of him really, cosidering he has no siblings and sees little of others he is very caring.

I got myself all worked up this morning as his speech therapy info came through, not looking forward to it at all. It sounds very patronizing. they talk to him like he is stupid and he just looks at them.......as if they are! But will try and remain positive and open minded. The session is 3-4pm though, when he is at his grumpiest, so not ideal. She said often people don't turn up (there will only be a max of 5 anyway) but I imagine it will be a difficult time that for parents with school runs etc as you are not allowed to take other children.

FlyMeToDunoon · 05/02/2010 18:26

I'm laughing at loving rattly wheels too.
Maxy that sound a crap service frankly. the speech therapist I mean.
Ooopshave to go as DD1 wants the laptop back.

OP posts:
maxybrown · 05/02/2010 18:32

I know

They say to speak to him like this

man

man eat

man eat cake

he walks off shaking his head, no joke! he is not stupid at all. He knows numbers and letters, he knows he is 2 and a boy, can use scissors draw pictures of people....sigh, he just can't talk

we shall see what Ginger the bear brings in a couple of weeks eh? When I did speech therapy programmes at school with some of the children, it was all about concepts, teddy under table next to etc etc.....I hope it isn't like that as he doesn't need that at all....mind you she knows he has no "global delay" and wasn't mean to be putting him one of those groups. We shall see!!

nicolamumof3 · 05/02/2010 18:33

DS1 banned from laptop since luka tried to break it whilst he was using it. Our screen is in a right mess now!

Agree doesn't sound like the best of services but hope it goes well maxy.

right i think its bathtime!

maxybrown · 05/02/2010 18:40

yikes about laptop!

FlyMeToDunoon · 05/02/2010 21:53

Ah thats better. All of the girls in bed and my two friends who drove over from London have gone home so the laptop is mine.
I must have another early night though. It does me the power of good.

OP posts:
basl · 05/02/2010 23:27

Flyme hope you have that early night it does wonders.
5in i love the blue/grey and could not find it. I think it is discontinued. I am thinking of having a blue hood made but may be a bit naff.

Maxy, your ds sounds so adoreable. I love him shaking his head at them. Wee lamb will speak when he is ready i think but i do feel for you and all those appointments. I used to have to take Olive to the poo clinic for over and year and it really did cause so much upset but she just got herself out of the problem and we look back and sigh at all the stress. I hope it all work out for you. Glad you love the elite. I have a new trick now. I let the air out a little bit more and now can shove the pushchair out of the door but in the summer will use my patio doors.
I have a very busy day tomorrow with all my nieces and nephews on my sisters side staying. Cross wires with sleepovers and could not let either down.

maxybrown · 06/02/2010 08:53

Morning all!!

I feel all jolly today! Have a nice sleepver Basl - you really are so kind.

I think he will speak too. He is loving the alphablocks that has just started on cbeebies and they have a website, because they are letters he is very happy to repeat all the sounds, or have a jolly good go. which is good I think as getting him saying all the sounds for his speech. Going to do a bit everyday to get him repeat them, it's good because he's having to htink about where to put his lips and tongue.

He is using speech more more though. Like this morning he went straight up to DH in bed and shouted "Dadda" for him to get up with us and he never would have done that, even a couple of days ago.

Sorry for waffling so early!!

What's everyone up to today? We are going to collect my baby jogger box from the shop and see if I can skivvy another one from them to send the Nipper! then I am hoping DH can be persuaded to take me to JL

nicolamumof3 · 06/02/2010 10:15

morning maxy all good here apart from exhausted!! Dh gone to work waiting for my mum to arrive then going over to my cousins that will be nice girly lunch and maybe a walk out this afternoon.

Waiting for to arrive so i can pop to lidl on my own and get onions and mushrooms then slow cooker to go on for chick chasseur tonight mmmmh!

FlyMeToDunoon · 06/02/2010 11:45

DP away so DDs have had a nice morning playing while I had a shower, sorted and put away the clean washing, took my life in my hands and put a washing on, tidied and cleaned up. They have been very good.
This afternoon we may go out to the shops for one or two bits.

Didn't get to bed that early after all. 11.30ish
BJCC going on ebay tomorrow.

OP posts:
maxybrown · 06/02/2010 14:57

I did get to JL hoorah! Got quite a few bits in sale for James too, mostly too big yet but bargains to be had. Other things there too but just far too big Although I do think their things can be samll.

All in all a successful morning

nicolamumof3 · 06/02/2010 17:40

soooooo tired...is it bedtime yet?

maxybrown · 06/02/2010 18:10

Hey was I that boring?

nicolamumof3 · 06/02/2010 19:53

you....never hunnie!! have you sold nipper?

maxybrown · 06/02/2010 20:00

yes I have on preloved to a lovely lady in Scotland. Tis going on Monday.

Got my crotch strap for xlr too! They did make it in the champagne, yay!

nicolamumof3 · 06/02/2010 20:04

oh thats great maxy! hope you got box ok for nipper?

im listing on ebay...soooooo boring but need pennies for summer purchases!

maxybrown · 06/02/2010 20:10

Yes my pram shop gave me another box when I went to pick up my baby jogger box, so that was fab. they are really nice in there! I am so relieved to not have to make one.

I am avoiding ebay as much as poss at the min, so boring like you say. Did you sort that negative out in the end?

nicolamumof3 · 06/02/2010 20:16

thats good. i just let neg go. DH was adamant no refund as they were all in really good condition. its the first i've had so will soon be lost amongst my exc. f/back!!

cant wait for pics of ds in BJCE they do look lovely i barely use nipper tho so not worth me changing it. And tbh can see luka will be out of prams soon, he's progressing really well with his behaviour and walking so nicely holding on etc. using buggy less and less but its nice to know i don't have to have him strapped in iykwim!

maxybrown · 06/02/2010 20:30

Oh yes I do! James would walk all the time if I let him he is really good at holding hands, like today we didn't take one at all.

But when I am going to my mums etc then the day is too long, and I have too much junk to carry lol! He often nods off if we are out all day so handy!! I have to say I use this more than the Nipper, I love it! I have some pics but they aren't that great so will do some tomorrow in daylight.
