Hi there!

OP posts:
BexieID · 04/02/2010 22:24

bag not mat, lol

nicolamumof3 · 04/02/2010 22:25

lol maxy i do have a desire for w/end in chester and we are coming 'oop north' for half term. but thats about it i think lol!

yes i would love another bubs. love being pg love them as newborns love them learning to sit up and crawl and laught and hold things. Yes i do still want another baby it seems.

maxybrown · 04/02/2010 22:33

This is my fave age I think atm. I just find babies soooooooo boring never been one to coo!! I think my sister is still in the cooing stage and DN is 11.....but that's another story! Mind you I was never ever ever having any children so I've done quite well
Ooh are you Morecambing it in half term? I am keeping my fingers crossed that it is not mentioned about us going over there then too
although once there it is ok, it is more the thought of going

nicolamumof3 · 04/02/2010 22:41

well if you do we can meet up maxy!! we are staying in lancaster actually. Terry's aunt/uncle live overseas and they have a nice flat there.

No i do love little babys the smell the feel of them cuddled against your chest. they are adorable. i also love the year to 18m stage when they are starting to walk/talk and tates age now just before they start school is very nice. Luka is def coming out of his very difficult/unpredictable stage. i think my life may become easier come the summer (eternal optimist )

meant to mention about Tate he's started to stutter is this common?

maxybrown · 04/02/2010 22:47

or has he? Bless him. Sometimes james sounds like he is stuttering, even without words most odd. I have seen many people say this at similar age Nicola.

Ooh Lancaster is nice, would be lovely to meet you one day! I haven't been to Lancaster since having james

Do you now, I was looking in DS red book the other day and at 8 months he was saying "all gone" and at about 13 months "hello Grandma." He can't say either of those things now.....weird.

sal1309 · 05/02/2010 08:53

good morning all.

nicola congrats on your dh getting a new job and the promise of a new baby

hope everyone is feeling better as had a quick skim back and everyone seemed to be a bit down or poorly so hope everyone is back to normal.

I dont seem to have had 2 min to myself the past few weeks but think im back to normal now lol. Going to start sorting baby things out this weekend and pack hospital bag ect

carrie sorry your not liking your bee.

basl · 05/02/2010 09:11

Morning, Sal i liked that part the hospital bag packing. Sorting baby things i always enjoyed.
Congrats Nic on dh new job.
Olivia was very upset yesterday about going to nursery as she is freaked out with this being excluded from school visist. She is starting to take it in about this whole school thing and getting her self all wound up. She asked could she stay at home just for this one time with me. So off we went in to town like the old days and had her feet fitted for the first time in ages. I have just winged it myself. She loves getting new shoes and she has a lovley new pair of black Geox long boots. Loved it but slightly distracting with daniel buzzing about like one of those wind up toys. Lovey shoe fitter measured him and said the next trainers he had on were a perfect fit and nice and wide for him. She reckoned just keep with that and maybe next time a proper pair. We then went of to the park and then lunch while ds slept and bus home. One happy little girl again. Do miss our little trips to town for lunch and a shop.
Off to toddlers now and both kids looking stunning with new clothes on but i look like a dogs dinner. Anyway hope everyone has a good day and i going to get a bjcm for def by end of month.

carrielou2007 · 05/02/2010 09:36

Morning all

Not long now Sal . I loved packing my bags, I had a bag for me and one for the baby. Came out so quick he never even got to wear his 'coming home' outfit as he came home in his babygrow . My big bag of change for the car park never got used as we could never park so had to park miles away and walk. My purse was very heavy with it all on our first trip out after he was born!!

Have you got the stoke yet?? I keep looking at the stoke high chairs (is it the same company or am I a bit thick??) I have a brand new high chair but these look fab and not out of place at the kitchen table and smaller so could still squeeze the pram in behind it by the window.

FlyMeToDunoon · 05/02/2010 09:42

Hello all. DP is away for a boys weekend so I have the laptop to myself Haha!
Congrats on Terry's job Nicola. DD3 has started stuttering recently but I think at her age it's more to do with getting the words out. If school think Tate has a problem they can refer him. Girl in DD1's class stuttered in reception. Had a few weeks with speech therapist and it went very fast.
I love the thought of babies but am not keen on another pregnancy. They got more and more uncomfortable and tiring. Also my babies got smaller and smaller. 8, 7 and then 6 pounds. I do miss the tiny hands gently patting my chest as they feed.
Love the packing of the bag. All the tiny vests and nappies. Sigh.
Will have to arrange something about the washing machine. Thing is I really need the old one taking away too. I am saving up all school clothes to do in one wash in case the machine goes completely and in an emergency I do have a mum neighbour I can ask.

sal1309 · 05/02/2010 09:50

basl glad you had a good day yesterday

carrie yes ive got my stokke here but havent had a chance to play lol. The highchairs are by the same company we bought one for dd when she was about 1 so she could sit at the table properly iykwim. And she loves it. Trying to find a cheap baby set now for it though so i can use for this bubs. I like it but not sure how it will be for a smaller child as they dont recline ect but im sure it will be ok.

morning fmtd hope you get your washing machine sorted, do currys/comet not do a take away thing but think it costs you extra?

right better go and do some sorting lol

nicolamumof3 · 05/02/2010 10:16

morning ladies all good here today for once!

basl sounds like you had lovely day yesterday. My boys are always better dresed than me lol! however i thought it was milder today so wore my new pink parka on the nursery run its gorgeous! made me feel more with it iykwim.

Anyone explain the difference between Ben 10 and Ben 10 alien force. Just got Tate a Ben 10 top from ebay and he's really disappointed its not 'Ben Tennyson'

FlyMeToDunoon · 05/02/2010 10:32

I am such an idiot. I just went online to Comet thinking right let's do it. I chose the first machine that came up. Well recommended and one I have looked at over the last couple of days. Chose collection of old machine and installation of new machine and the delivery days available came up. First one was this Sat-unavailable. The next one was a Sunday so I thought great, nice and quick and chose that. But of course when the confirmation came up, after payment it is the following Sunday ie the 14th! Argh.
Well I will have to just cope for a week.
Right off to actually do some housework. Around huge pile of laundry.

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 05/02/2010 10:33

oh dunoon wish you could drive you'd be welcome to pop over and use my machine i know how totally annoying it is. can you call them and see if they can amend it for you?

FlyMeToDunoon · 05/02/2010 10:37

Thank you Nicola. A very generous offer. I am like you and do 3 loads a day sometimes. I am going to leave it the way it is. There wasn't a delivery day available sooner anyway. I can get by on the basics and my machine is still going, just in a very scary and banging noisy way that makes me afraid to put anything in it. I have visions of me loading all school clothes in and not getting them out again.
At least I know I have a nice shiny quiet machine coming.

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 05/02/2010 10:40

yes its not so bad when you know end is in sight. I just made kids be really careful with their clothes!! Still hard work tho. What machine did you get?

FlyMeToDunoon · 05/02/2010 10:48

It's just a beko one but 1200 spin and slightly more options than the most basic.£199. but then all delivery and installation etc bring it up to £243. Worth it I figured for peace of mind. Just got email to say the payment has not gone through but I phoned customer service and they say this often happens and another person will contact me within 48 hrs. I may lose my delivery slot though!

nicolamumof3 · 05/02/2010 10:52

fgs! thats ridiculous i do hate currys i must say. hope they sort it and let you know whats going on. Right im off to shops before i have to collect luka

5inthebed · 05/02/2010 14:38

Afternoon ladies. I've been for coffee with a friend, although could have done with going back to bed. DS3 not sleeping great atm, been up since half 5 . Went to look at Bee, DS3's head right near th top of the hood, so won't be getting one of them.Thats what I get for marrying a tall blok, tall kids.

Congrats on Dh's new job Nicola . Got quite excited about the new baby front.

Basl, great stuff about getting the BJCM, do you not fancy the micro version? The colours are lovely. I'm the same re clothes. Kids look fab, neat and tidy, I'm wearing jeans two sizes too big and trainers that have walked miles. Tramps R Us

Dunoon, thats crap about the washer. Hope they manage to sort it quickly for you.

5inthebed · 05/02/2010 14:39

Oh and Nicola, Ben 10 is the younger boy, Ben 10 Alien Force is where he is a teenager, and also the newer version.

Ben 10 - Black and white top
Ben 10 Alien Force - Green coat

HTH

basl · 05/02/2010 15:08

Sal that did make me laugh Tramps R Us. I saw a review clip on the micro and it did not look so good. The hood is not the same as the mini and the wheels smaller and not so great apparently. I sent the last bjcm back as i thought i wanted the luna mix more but did not like that and always wished i'd kept the bjcm. I have however been loving the zapp in racoon colour as i loved the dinasaure olive liner and tie blanket i had and would be so lovley but it does not recline and i heard someone pushing it the other day and it rattles along. I hate that.
The cosatto diablo is a fab pushchair and ticks all the boxes but just does not look nice and rather long to chuck in the boot. I have the jane nest plus on it as the seat is huge and so light to push but i do want a bjcm and just waiting on funds from my sister who is going to buy the diablo from me.

5inthebed · 05/02/2010 15:15

Well I love my black bjcm . I know what you meana bout the small wheels on the micro.

I had a Zapp once (well I've had three ) and they are alright for what they are meant for, but not an everyday pram. I might even invest in one for the car. I love the raccoon colour, the iron is also a lovely colour.

basl · 05/02/2010 15:25

oh don't say that 5in. I can't stop looking at them and what it would look like with the dino liner on it would be so lovley but the lack of shopping storage and the little one i saw in it did not look like it had much head room. Well i am hooked again thinking i love love love my BJCE and use it everyday and shopping trips but want the bjcm for holidays and trips in the car however a zapp would be nice just for the sake of it.
My older sister who is a chilminder used to get so angry with me and my pushchair buying but i think i have kind of got her in on the act now. Not for looks but just for what would be best for her job. She has a double and my old bebecar travel system, a stroller and now having my diablo and the nest. She just about fell over when i told her how much that little lot would have set her back.

Divatheshopaholic · 05/02/2010 16:47
