maxybrown · 04/02/2010 08:06

Sorry being nosey!

I am off to work today, Mum coming over for James, bliss!

horsemadgal · 04/02/2010 10:44

Goodness, the talk here took turn for the worst!

Nicola, I'd say it's his wedding so up to him but not to expect anyone to turn up. I'd have thought he would have a party here for all his rellies though, that's what most do I think if they get married abroad.

My brother might be getting married in Orkney and I told him no way I'm getting on that boat.

nicolamumof3 · 04/02/2010 11:00

HMG he lives in Greece though he's not going there for the wedding it is where he lives. Im just a bit upset that he obviously didn't care about his only nephews not being able to attend but there you go

been to toddler group now back to ironing basket what a fun day! no nursery tho so can just get on now in between refereeing boys!

horsemadgal · 04/02/2010 13:57

Yes but all his relatives here?
Would be the right thing for him to have a party here really.
But obv it up to him, his money etc.

nicolamumof3 · 04/02/2010 14:34

i agree HMG but he won't!!

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/02/2010 18:05

Hello. Washing machine is going to need replaced. It did work this afternnon but is very noisy and was making banging noises too. Anyone on here know a good cheapish model that would come quickly.

comet/curry's have some that you can collect? we decided to get cheap make dishwasher is beko and really pleased with it had it coming up to a year now.

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/02/2010 19:10

Gah. Just been searching online for one and it's a fricking nightmare. We have no car to collect.
I actually ordered one [Beko £179] from Tesco Direct but couldn't find the space to enter the code requesting free collection of old one so phoned helpline [after paying] The rather useless bloke said that I couldn't add that option now as had paid and if he cancelled the order a refund would take 3 days.
I decided to cancel and order again looking more closely for the slot for code but couldn't find it. Sooo phoned whilst in the middle of the order. A very helful woman then told me that that option had gone wrong online and wasn't appearing.
Back to the drawing board.
I have school clothes to get clean at the weekend!

carrielou2007 · 04/02/2010 20:15

Evening all

No more toenail or bent willy talk tonight (phew!!)

Wibbling about the bee, I think I am just a bit too tall and it makes me feel like I'm poushing a dollies pram. Took the polka pliko out today and was so easy to use and lovely but as soon as ds is 4ish months will be too heavy and wanting to sit up a little bit for rear facing. Hmmn, what to do...

FMTD too scared to say my zanussi (whirlpool I think) has been the best washing machine ever incase it now goes wrong, I had the white one and then sold it after I moved house as I bought the same in silver (see it's not just prams!!)

nicolamumof3 · 04/02/2010 20:24

carrie you should have kept your switch? im not a fan of bees they are soooo low. Weird.

carrielou2007 · 04/02/2010 20:30

I loved the switch but it was only a bit heavier than the pliko, it was impossible to steer even without a baby in it whereas the pliko is so easy (whilst he is small). I didn't make any money on it but I got back what I paid for it.

I look at the bee and I like it, I see them out and I like them but when I push it I just feel silly. The only time I used it my sister commented on what a funny little pram it was, we were in a huge play barn and two other mums came up to me and asked me about it!!

maxybrown · 04/02/2010 21:17

I think it doesn't look real, it does look a bit like taking a real baby out in a toy pram but then I do like big ones

Sorry, carri set me off by mentioning bent willy's

How did DH get on Nicola?

nicolamumof3 · 04/02/2010 21:40

haha maxy.

he got the job! very tired long day he's just gone to bed.

maxybrown · 04/02/2010 21:44

No watching some man with 6 million wives but fed up of that now.......turning over

Oh well done Terry why was the interview in manchester?? Sorry tell me to stuff off if being too nosey

nicolamumof3 · 04/02/2010 21:56

thats just where they are based. he will be working from home something totally different v.scary!! he says we can have another baby if he earns loadsa money haha!

carrielou2007 · 04/02/2010 22:04

Ooh congrats to him Nicola!! Another baby??!!!!!

That's exactly it Maxy, I feel I should like it as it's my beloved bugaboo but I just feel silly with it. Maybe short arses would be ok but I feel like a giant lump with it.

BexieID · 04/02/2010 22:04

nicola, did solas take the mat?

carrielou2007 · 04/02/2010 22:09

Bexie how is Erin's sticky eye?? Ds has had one since birth, dd had one from about 4 weeks antibiotics did not work so don't want to use them for ds. Breast milk did it in the end but makes me feel very odd!!

nicolamumof3 · 04/02/2010 22:14

Yes bexie she did have the mat im afraid.

maxybrown · 04/02/2010 22:15

Another baby..... (that was for me personally btw!!)

I am meeting my friend tomorrow with the fostered baby. She is knackered I can't wait to see her as she always used to look so glam and i always felt a right scruff, so we shall see
