I got loads of clothes for Riley (ds2) in the next sale but there didn't seem to be much in 2-3 for ds1 and poor dd got about 4 things. I usually pass ds1 clothes down for ds2 but he goes through trousers every few weeks! He is short like me so have to trn everything up.

maxybrown · 31/12/2009 16:00

I hardly ever get stuff in sale I must admit as the things I want are always sold out long before the sale begins! So i always scout around for best deals, plus I am good at selling all sorts to fund DS's clothes! Only way. It also helps only having 1!

Divatheshopaholic · 31/12/2009 16:14

hi all,
kids poorly with cold again
carrie, sound slike baby is waiting for new year
maxy, that hoody on the boden link is definately lovely for boys. i agree boden prices gone up 2-3 pounds.
nicola, i bought 3pair of lined check baggies from next sales, it must ahve been my lucky day, i did not go sales after xmas, i nipped in local one yesterday as i needed to go argos for dds friends bday present. so im sorted for next winter, boden baggies are over 20 pounds
i had wilkinet with both dc, they liked when little but as soon as they can hold their head, they refused to go sling

maxybrown · 31/12/2009 16:42

Next have some nice checked roll up baggies too for summer. £10. I have no idea what size to get for DS. I din't ant to get a load if 2/3 for them to STILL not fit him in summer but then if I get 18/24 will I regret it.......sigh. I know no one can help me but I can at least moan eh? Nicola are you getting Lika 2/3 Next?

sal1309 · 31/12/2009 17:08

evening all

cheers for that guys.

Carrie i must admit i only buy maxi cosi car seats aswell although i do have a britax for my mums motorhome as its the only one that goes in with lap belt lol. Looks like baby is holding on for new year

well my guests have just arrived so am off. hope you all have a lovely nye and a great new year

nicolamumof3wisemen · 31/12/2009 18:56

i liked those next roll up baggies but tate already has some green boden ones almost identical design (just not roll leg)

Yes maxy im getting luka 2/3 next he's going into tates 2/3 next trousers and jeans now with the turned up. he's been in 2/3 tops a few weeks now.

that was a good result diva! I always buy boys clothes in sales if i can thomas for example his jeans in next now are nearly £20 a pair i don't think we'll have much longer shopping in next/gap etc for him tho once he starts secondary school. we just had big topman open in next town so im looking forward to looking round their with him he always dresses nice tho.

we took boys to macdonalds for tea then just went to sainsburys bought more wine and cava looking forward to my fillet steak later mmmh!

Evening all - can't believe its new years eve!...The only way I can get through January is thinking about holidays - we are going away in April - not sure where but abroad as we havn't been for a couple of years now and I fancy it....might try Turkey.
I think Boden is getting ridiculous in its prices...Luka is still wearing 18-24 in trousers but definately 2-3 in tops to go over his lovely belly. Must top up Frida's wardrobe - bought her a nice duvet set in Sainsburys sale for £6...she needs a new coat, trousers and jumpers.
Happy New Year to everyone - is anyone actually going out?

maxybrown · 31/12/2009 19:33

Going out? out? I haven't been out for at least 3 years don't think I would know how to now lol.

Yes those baggies are like those Boden ones. Thought I might give them a try. I just don't know what size tops to get. Will def only get 18/24 bottoms as think they will be more than big enough from there, esp shorts. Groan. Feel pathetic even debating over it for so long I wish Next put their measurements up. I shall order some and see I think. Sigh.

We are having loads of diff cheeses tonight and hot cheese in breadcrumbs etc, though v jeaous of fillet steak - but we are having steak as our meal tomorrow yum!

We're just discussing what we're going to do this year. Our beloved camper is def going (sniff - don't like to talk about that) then when she's gone we might buy very cheap caravan either this year or next if - wait for it, I actually go abroad this year!! Though so blardy expensive

Divatheshopaholic · 31/12/2009 19:39

no going out for us, we dont have babysitter, we only get baby sitter three times a year, my bday, dh`s bday, wedding anniversarry
just sitting here with glass of red wine.
ds is in 2-3 tops but still in 18-24m boden and gap trousers.
bought loads for dd from boden summer sale, and she gone slim and tall, hopefully most last summers clothes will fit her.
new year, no new buggy for me

pebbles79 · 31/12/2009 19:44

Well, I'm stuck in work until half 10 , and then I'll go home and have a few glasses of wine to see the new year in. I think we last when out when it was DS1's first new year so that was 7 years ago!

maxybrown · 31/12/2009 19:52

I'm on guinness at the min think it will be port later with our cheeses - oh we are so posh you know.....cough.

Right, I have for the 4th time put things in my basket on next, now all in 18/24. I got Ds some fleeces a few weeks ago from next in 2/3 and I have to turn the sleeves up quite a bit and he has loads of room in the body so think I should stick to 18/24. Sorry for being so damn bloody boring Mind you I also got him a padded gillet in 2/3 and that fits him fine I need shooting, really I do.

nicolamumof3wisemen · 31/12/2009 20:12

oh maxy order both sizes thats the only way? i know what you mean and i find Next so random! some 12/18m tops still fit luka it is annoying.

Janx we went to turkey on honeymoon. i never ever fancied it in my life but i'd go back there in a shot it was amazing so friendly so clean. We went to Dalyan which isn't on the coast but on a river really beautiful.

BTW ladies buggysnuggle have loads on sale atm. I am most upset that luka won't go in a footmuff he was soooo cold today he had his jojo polartec on and sheepskin boots as well bless him and he asked for his blanket too!!

carrielou2007 · 31/12/2009 20:45

Evening all.

Made yummy spicy chilli for dinner, had a glass of cava rest to dd's dad so might also have another try to move this baby later . You can imagine what I look like but then he is a man after all .

I had my priority code for sun holidays april/may today so will book cheapy cheap break for us. We'll prob go abroad say june time (give me time to get bikini ready again!).

Got a super-duper gorgous changing bag today and a mega disgsting purse (suposedly in superb condition) that even after scrubbing with vanish and a nail brush is only fit for the bin - try a dispute but what a waste of time!

sal1309 · 01/01/2010 09:35

Good morning all and

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Had a lovely night last night had my mate and her dh and kids over and just did a little buffett tea and a nice wine spritzer which was great. Then once we put the kids to bed we played raving rabbits on the wii which was hilourious lol.

carrie you made me chuckle lol

BexieID · 01/01/2010 12:03

Happy New Year!

I was in bed at 10:30 last night, lol. Had and still have a pain around my left hip. Oh, and Erin had been asleep in her basket for just over half an hour, so thought I should take advantage of that . I think DP woke her up coming to bed 3 hours later though!

StrictlyKatty · 01/01/2010 12:10

Happy New year! DS will be 2 in 7 days so I am most distressed Been buying Thomas banners and candles and balloons to make the place look all birthday like.

FIL said DS is too old for pushchairs yesterday... at 23 months!

janxmas · 01/01/2010 12:10

Happy New Year
My mum is taking us out to lunch today - dp has just taken the kids out on their scooters. My brother came round last night for a meal and we ending up watching a very serious film on telly and then had wierd dreams about pushchairs and clothes (must not read this thread before bedtime)...Luka up alot in night and lots of party goers outside singing at the top of their voices....
I don't know why but I never really like new years eve....much prefer Christmas

Good luck with the baby carrielou

basl · 01/01/2010 12:17

Happy New Year Everyone !!!!
I hope you all have a great day. I was allowed home early from work by 30mins so just got back in time for the bells. What a really interesting night at work with all the rather tipsy people calling to ask why they can't get any money out of the cash machine and people stranded at airports because their card did not work. Much more interesting than any normalj night. My Dh is out working today and tonight as it is so busy. He works for British Gas and with this weather he has never had so much work.

I have a lovley black eye for the new year after daniel placed Olivia's new (toy) laptop on my face. He really did not mean it [sceptical] but at leas it was the third thing to happen. I fell down the stairs this morning and trapped my fingers in the door so all done and dusted.
I am off to mums now for a good old pampering with lots to eat and i am staying the night so a well deserved glass (bottle) of something.

Feeling a lot better for some reason and look forward to catching up with all the news. xx

Divatheshopaholic · 01/01/2010 12:26

Happy New Year to all
We went bed early too. Did not hear any fireworks, assume it was freezing cold
