OP posts:
nappyaddict · 13/01/2010 15:31

How old is he maxy?

janx · 13/01/2010 15:42

You are not alone maxy....though ds did try and say Lola (as in Charlie and Lola)...but just calls frida - eh
I am taking him to a new chatter matters group on Friday - I guess they will get there sometime.

lillypie · 13/01/2010 15:51

God my dd said good girl, doggy, drink, and mum at 10 months and she hasn't shut up since.Seriously she is never not talking,it drives me crazy!!

nicolamumof3 · 13/01/2010 15:57

all so wildly different i know we have discussed this so many times. Remember my luka was the same? Its starting nursery 100pc i am sure that has helped his vocabularly he says sooooo much now just in the last couple of months he tries to repeat everything we say. It will just suddenly happen for your DS too maxy.

im used to wet footmuffs. i used to zip buggysnuggle off and pop on radiator the nipper on dries really fast. the nipper lives all day on porch in this weather then i bring in at night can't stand the mess and im in/out all day long here.

oh apples quest arrived. omg i lurve it!! seriously is best maclaren ever seat seems more padded then i remeber. But honestly luka does look big in it and he's only 2.5yr old. the xlr is better size wise for him. but quest ideal for car and soooo much smaller and lighter he sat in it to watch waybuloo now its gone in car!

oh and he just walked to nursery and back that is unheard of i always take pushchair but let him walk today as he is holding hands so much better. I feel we are moving on with luka....at last.

nicolamumof3 · 13/01/2010 16:03

apples quest!

lillypie · 13/01/2010 16:19

It's gorgeous nicola and he looks fine in it,not cramped at all

nicolamumof3 · 13/01/2010 16:22

i think its just that he looks so small in xlr. but this is perfect to sling in the car. i can see me using it alot in the summer.

maxybrown · 13/01/2010 16:32

He was 2 in September. he is clever and stuff, just doesn't talk Knows his colours and where text is in a book and can point to a milion and one things.......but hey ho! He also counts, you should hear that! All tones correct for each number

lillypie my niece was like that, full conversations she was having not long after one. She is 14 now and STILL never shuts up Mind you james never shuts up either - it just doesn't make any sense?!

I got a crappy leaflet through the other day for Muzzy, the language cd thing, I laughed saying ha he can't even talk in his own language, then realised you get an English disc with it too, and thought .....hmmmmm! maybe he can learn English as a second language to his own

Quest is nice, he does look big but not squashed and like you say, only because the XLR is so roomy! I still like that blue/green one you have on there, looks fab with that BS on!

lillypie · 13/01/2010 16:34

I loved my quest,I sold a pram today and now have to sit on my fingers to stop me buying a butterflies jane sonic.

maxybrown · 13/01/2010 16:36

What quest is that that I like Nicola?

nicolamumof3 · 13/01/2010 16:38

what on my pic trail? its an 08 one mod in turkish blue?

or do you mean the spitfire?

maxybrown · 13/01/2010 16:42

lol, see above post of me whittering on!! THEN I posted that about the quest! no it is turkish blue, nice that. very summery.

nicolamumof3 · 13/01/2010 16:47

yeah i loved that i remember they were only about £80 in kiddicare and i didn't get one. i paid about £100 for it loved it but then kept apples instead. Was a v.v.nice colour. New quests 09 onwards do have different (bigger and higher) hoods tho so better for luka anyway.

can't wait to go out in car now to use it!!

maxybrown · 13/01/2010 16:50

I can't believe how much pushchairs have gone up. It is just over a year since we bought the first XLR and it was £130 from Boots HUGE difference!

Wonder if Dunoon got the baby jogger today!

nicolamumof3 · 13/01/2010 16:51

i know xlr's are hideously expensive luckily got mine reduced. My quest was £130 that i just got. Alot of money.

nappyaddict · 13/01/2010 18:07

Awwww maxy he's so young yet don't worry!

reallywoundup · 13/01/2010 18:26

FlyMeToDunoon · 13/01/2010 18:28

Yes Baby Jogger City Classic [just thought I would write it in full] is here. Very nice. Very tall handle at the highest setting. Not been out yet in the fresh snow but will take it on the school/nursery run tomorrow. Need a kaiser to go with it now.

maxybrown · 13/01/2010 18:32
Grin
nicolamumof3 · 13/01/2010 19:39

can we have piccies dunoon?

will either of those work with the bar on the mura or will you have to report it?

janx · 13/01/2010 19:47

Anyone there?...dp has taken a group of his students to the theatre and the kids are in bed...have a truck load of ironing to do but not really inspired by that....think I might do some research into holidays - first year we have had to go in school holiday time - thinking either easter or whitsun

nicolamumof3 · 13/01/2010 19:51

hi jan meant to ask you whether you would be interested in smafolk tops i bought from here? i think you asked for dibs at the time?

whitsun would be nice for hols i think.

we are v.fortunate this year as my parents have paid for us to go on holiday with them first two weeks of june to kefalonia. luxury villa looks gorgeous we only need spending money.

im already thinking hols 2011 hopefully disney paris! or centre parcs...again!!

maxybrown · 13/01/2010 19:56

so bloomin expensive in school hols we want to go to south of france as DH's brother lives there, but last time we looked it would have cost well over £600 and that was without James.....that was just to get there, obv stay with his brother.

janx · 13/01/2010 19:58

yes possibly - can't remember them - canyou remind me of pattern/size - thanks

I think you are right about whitsun - lots of places don't seem open at easter - was thinking april as ds nursery shuts for a week where as it doesn't at whitsun.
