Basl, could you put pics on a trail please? How much would you be wanting?

OP posts:

You know when they all start school theres not many of them that can't speak/use a toilet/etc so they all get there in the end. i think having three v.different boys has taught me that.

Maxy my boys love fish too! Its one of their favourites, after roast dinners i think oh and toad in the hole.

put new pic trail up ladies.

nicolamumof3 · 30/11/2009 17:41

lol, i tell you what my boys adore. Peach slices in the tin in the juice (not syrup) luka's just had huge bowl ful after his roast chicken. they think its a treat.

maxybrown · 30/11/2009 17:49

Ds loves fruit too, will not touch a veggie though. BUT he ALWAYS trys it, so he does touch it, puts it in his mouth, chews and goes eeeyak still, he tries it.

Yes Nicola, you are quite right, my experience at school has taught me that, unless there is another problem of course, generally they are all bog standard in terms of those things!! My DH didn't even finish school, hated it, was told by teachers he couldn't read etc, (yet was reading at home!) won best student award for speaking Russian as an adult and is now a teacher [ironically!) what will be will be.

Diva, i emailed you back btw

nicolamumof3 · 30/11/2009 17:54

Tom refused to read for the whole of reception, i was beyond myself, but looking back he was probably 'burn't out'! he'd been to a private nursery 3 days a week and they did alot of academic stuff with him, he could read/write his name and a few other words i was very smug then he wouldn't read a thing at school i was so upset. But by year one he started again!! so it all comes good. im not at all competitive Tom is average i'd say academically therefore he didn't take his 11plus, i was glad.

maxybrown · 30/11/2009 18:00

Yes, it's good to know limits isn't it? I hate pushy parents. I don't mean to stop them from coming good.....but you know what I mean......hopefully! I wasn't academic at all, just did my best!! I have a lot of common sense though

BexieID · 30/11/2009 18:16

Peacock sacks here.

carrielou2007 · 30/11/2009 18:17

Dd would eat crips, biscuits and chocolates all day long if I let her but we leave those for the weekend. She's very good, loves he fruit and veg, was waiting for MW last week and she's actually wailing 'please mummy have a look if there's an apple in your bag'

I remember when she was quite small and was eating halved grapes and a 'friend' said 'you do know they are little bags of sugar don't you?' ok, better get her a greggs sausage roll insted then (though we both actually do really like them but again everything in moderation!!!)

nicolamumof3 · 30/11/2009 18:20

oh they are fab aren't they bexie!! if anyone wants me to look for peacock sacks or stocking im happy to tomorrow

bex what size are those gap pj's on your trail or are they spoken for?

FlyMeToDunoon · 30/11/2009 18:24

Could you all stop chatting quite so much! I have had to read three pages.

Estate agent round today so I spent the morning cleaning and tidying madly. House should go on the market in a week. Eeeek.
Happy St Andrews day to you all. It's my mother's birthday so we never forget.
My DD's were all combination fed then had pureed organic food and organic jars and then suddenly around what..... 6/7 months they were allowed to try teeny bits of chocolate, cheesy whotsits etc.lol It's mad. Sweets are for weekends in our house [for the DCs anyways, anytime for me!]

maxybrown · 30/11/2009 18:24

Thanks Bexie! I might do Nicola please. We got DS a stocking for his first Christmas, but no sack. I am going to town with Mum tomorrow so can look there first. He has his stocking in our room as we have an original 50's fireplace in our bedroom so we all put our stockings there

nicolamumof3 · 30/11/2009 18:26

FMTD have you decided what you are going to do? how exciting! Am v.envious.

Just had email from FIL to say he has bought xmas presents for me and DH from amazon wish lists...they are on way, but they didn't bother to get them giftwrapped. so looks like we'll just be having them early bloody ridiculous.

im getting them comedy presents this year.

FlyMeToDunoon · 30/11/2009 18:33

It is quite exciting. It feels satisfying to be doing something purposeful rather than the everyday grind of housework over and over again.
We will rent, DP will look for full time and freelance work and then later on we will work out how to enable him to do something more fulfilling and suited to him. He may need to do a course in sept.
lol at comedy presents

BexieID · 30/11/2009 19:11

Gap PJs are age 4, just waiting to hear back from someone.

The sacks are really good. Tom has a Tigger stocking I got him his first xmas, but you canny get much in there! I can get sacks too if anyone wants them. Peacocks is a 2 min walk from me!

Hope no one buys me anything from my Amazon wishlist! I tend to add random stuff i'm thinking of buying other people as well as the things i'd like, lol.

Divatheshopaholic · 30/11/2009 19:28

Bexie, peacocks sacks are lovely, i dont mind getting two of them do they do different designs?

janx · 30/11/2009 20:04

Hi
Can't keep up with all the threads - I need a summary of the day ...kilts,pjs, advent calenders, maxy and diva's meet up, no chocolate for SK - anything else?

Ds isn't well - nursery managed to get hold of dp before me so he went and got him - he has a tummy bug- so that's me off tomorrow...saves me from those bloody budgets - thank god I only have to do them once a year. Poor Luka is all listless - dp said he didn't even have a tantrum when he switched off intg - he really must be poorly
bought a lovely wooden advent calender on the way home from St Martins' in the Fields

nicolamumof3 · 30/11/2009 20:10

oooh poor little man
