Ooh ice age 3 -

maxybrown · 28/11/2009 15:11

Jan certainly be able to post on Monday will send it first class.

janx · 28/11/2009 18:03

Just had a nice afternoon. dd went to a friends house - luka had a sleep in pushchair and dp and me went to get some things for his birthday. Got a rechargable brio train - but couldn't get the collapsing tunnel. Then we had coffee and cake (luka still asleep)

Nicola - Luka absoutely loves going to the little sainsburys...I sometimes go when its quiet and let him push the little basket round and do the scanning....otherwise I never attempt any other shopping unless he is asleep.

Bugger I missed the giraffe print bs on ebay - forgot it was ending so soon

basl · 28/11/2009 18:09

nappyaddict I work for the Bank of Scotland and work in their call centre at night doing the tele banking. It is hard getting the kids fed bathed pj's then me and i don't drive so hubby rushes in and then we all race up to the call centre to drop me off. It is so crazy in our house at nights but both kids are in bed by 7ish. strictly sorry if i came across as smug with my offer of that table i don't know why she has offered this but i am not going to accept it for nothing so i will part with cash for it. If it is not for me and i don't have the room i will check with her first and give you a shout. I really am getting like dell boy with all these deals i am making on here nicola my daniel does not i repeat not do shopping so there is another similarity. Olivia on the other hand is a great little shopper with her lists handbag and pretend mobile phone. She loves it.

nappyaddict · 28/11/2009 18:30

My friend's little boy loved his train table until about 4, then went off and likes it again at 7 so don't get rid of it too hastily nicola

Also are some buggysnuggles longer than others? DS is 3.5 and hasn't fit in his for ages. How tall is your DS?

I don't buy xmas cards - claim to be being environmentally friendly but really i'm just cheap and lazy

Doesn't your hospital have a blood test area where you can just walk in at any time and get it done?

maxybrown can you link to your for sale thread please?

nicolamumof3 · 28/11/2009 18:31

lol at your dd, sometimes i do miss not having girls to do girly things with!!

janx luka gave up naps or we made him when he stopped sleeping through, but he often sleeps in pushchair in the afternoons, i can shop in bliss then!! i plan to do that monday afternoon, tate to nursery then us to Tunbridge Wells on train...best laid plans and all that!!

Just realised i've got my stepdads 65th party next w/end and nothing for the boys to wear. i like them to be co-ordinated for things like this tho. Seen some lovely 3piece tank top sets with jeans £14 in tesco might get those. but did say NO MORE CLOTHES before xmas!! well they do need xmas outfits too don't they?!

nicolamumof3 · 28/11/2009 18:33

nappyaddict, all genuine buggysnuggles are 100cm.

right best tidy, stoke the fire up and get these boys off for their bath!

nappyaddict · 28/11/2009 18:34

How tall is Tate?

nicolamumof3 · 28/11/2009 18:37

oooh haven't a clue nappy lol!! he's just going into age 3-4yr clothes, he's four next month average height, hold on i'll try measure!!

nicolamumof3 · 28/11/2009 18:38

he's about 97cm and luka's 88cm approx.

nappyaddict · 28/11/2009 19:02

Hmmm DS hasn't been able to fit in his since he was about 90cm I think - he's 96cm now. Weird!

Disenchanted3 · 28/11/2009 19:04

Hiya

How are you all?

I've officially ditched my buggy obsession, bought nothing since XLR. am completely happy with my 1 and only buggy

5inthebed · 28/11/2009 19:07

Basl, it's clearly a Daniel thing, as my Daniel absolutely hates shopping. Or maybe just a man thing .

Been to the big shopping centre near me and bought some lovely books for DS1+2 from WHSmiths. They have a 3 for 2 offer on all kids books.

Bought some stuff of Argos online as well, and have a £10 woucher, but only for online. Is anyone buying anything from Argos online and would like it?

nicolamumof3 · 28/11/2009 19:27

5in can't you use it then? shame not to?

hiya dis, glad you like XLR i love mine too, but i will sell it when a black frame one comes along that would be perfect!!

That is strange nappy? tate just about squeezes in luka fits in easily. maybe it depends on pushchair its fitted to and how high up its tied.

Maxy...do you still need pj's? luka is almost out of some skinny fit ones from mothercare? they are18/24m blue with diggers on v.cute just like gap.

nappyaddict · 28/11/2009 19:29

I love the skinny fit PJs you can get in mothercare and gap. anyone seen them in anywhere else?

BexieID · 28/11/2009 19:32

We've been out shopping today. Tom was a complete minx! People just getting in the way as well, doing my head in. Trying to navigate buggy round shop displays was irritating as well. Am contemplating going into Glasgow next weekend. Am I mad?

I won the P&T on ebay in sepetember but didn't get it till october when my parents brought it up with them. It's an E3, GUC and have managed to get a car seat adapter for my Graco car seat, thanks to madmissy! So £115 on buggy with doubles kit, pannier & footmuff, £5 for newborn cocoon and £12 for adapter. I still owe mum £70 for buggy, lol, but shes let me off. Bless her. Told me to use the money to get the Kipling bag I wanted for changebag annd a new moses basket mattress (which I still need to order, ekk!).

nicolamumof3 · 28/11/2009 19:40

m&s are doing skinny fit too nappy.

Bex yes you are mad. shop online, would not contemplate shops + pregnant bump + toddler + pushchair + xmas shopper first weekend of december no, no, no, no, no!!! there thats you told lol!!

BexieID · 28/11/2009 19:46

hehe, I know Nicola, but theres some lovely shops in Glasgow. AND I need to goto Mothercare and get measured for nursing bras. I was going to wait till 14th Dec as it's DPs b/day, but thats a week later, lol. I think we should go early if we do and make a note of where we want to go. Mothercare for sure. Would like Tom to pick a soft toy for the baby, but have a feeling he'll want it for himself!

nicolamumof3 · 28/11/2009 19:57

thats nice, i'd try for a weekday tho if you can? could you not go whilst Tom is at nursery and get someone to pick him up for you? it would be so much quicker then?

Janx are you still after zip up hooded tops? im ready to part with ours now as DS just won't wear them (he thinks they are jackets and constantly strips off!!

janx · 28/11/2009 20:20

Feeling a bit fed up .....was meant to go out tonight and have come down with a streaming cold ..One of my best friends is immigrating to Oz for two years and having a drink up tonight - but feel all shivery. Dp has gone on his own.

StrictlyKatty · 28/11/2009 20:30

Basl Oh God you weren't being smug at all I'm just cos that is exactly what DS wants, today he attached himself to it in Toyrus for 30 mins it was a nightmare getting him off!

I can't believe they are £220, I think a lot is the 'Thomas' brand but DS just adores Thomas so what can you do

nicolamumof3 · 28/11/2009 20:32

really honestly SK he won't care the make of the table!!! just like he won't notice if you have wooden thomas track or tesco's own. Then spend the money on the trains

oh janx thats a real bummer

StrictlyKatty · 28/11/2009 20:33

Bexie I love Glasgow for shopping

BexieID · 28/11/2009 20:34

Next week is soo busy. Monday have appt with an early intervention type lady, tuesday I have antenatel appt at hospital, thursday i'm seeing my friend who just had twins and friday i'm having my haircut, lol. Just leaves wednesday. I don't have anyone that could fetch Tom. A friend has offered to take him if I go into labour home alone and he's at nursery, but she works 3 days anyway. Her mum collects her son on the days she works.

Then again, if we did go next sunday, we could drop Tom off at PIL! I'll just have to pick a cuddly, or get him to choose one on-line. Also, i'd like to take him to see Santa, lol. Done it every year, inc the dodgy garden shed one, lol. There was a Santa walking round today in BRIGHT neon red, Tom wouldn't go near him! There will be a Santa at toddlers and nursery. Nursery xmas party is 23rd, hope we make it!

StrictlyKatty · 28/11/2009 20:35

Oh Nicola part of me thinks that, but he just loves the Thomas one and I'm afraid that if I get a different one he won't like it as much and it'll be money down the drain.

I'm also slightly concerned about the space issue as you need to be able to get around 3 sides I think and I'm out of room

Looked at Xmas trees today, has to be a real one!
