Morning all

Good luck with wm engineer Nicola, hold him hostage with cups of tea and biscuits in the kitchen until you are totally sure it is working before you let him go!

Nappy, I had a push around of that in M and P last week, very similar to the Moove I had, very nice and lightwight but sure they were reduced (which is prob why I had a look).

Got the MW again today for the fifth time in a week as my bp has shot up and stayed there for the last week and threatening to admit me for bedrest - um, not possibe when I have another 2 weeks at work and a boistorous toddler to look after!! Going to do NOTHING this morning in a calming effort (apart from MN of course )

FlyMeToDunoon · 26/11/2009 09:41

Hi Nappyaddict. All the old names returning! Hype looks nice and I love lime stuff but the price!
Maxy recorded things can be tracked with the number on the receipt.
Carrie I hope calming measures work. Just don't get invilved in any bumsex threads!

maxybrown · 26/11/2009 09:54

Nope not my recorded items!! God I am so narked.

one thing is from ebay business seller with 100% feedback and been very helpful.
The other one is from an online company who have also been very helpful, both privided me with tracking numbers. One is in Bristol, one is in Northumberland. Both were sent last Thursday recorded delivery and NEITHER of them can be tracked as NEITHER of the numbers are "in the system" so neither of them have been scanned at all.

It all sounds so likely too, like I am making it up but I really am not. Have contacted both places to see what happens now. sob sniff.

carrielou2007 · 26/11/2009 10:08

Maxy, I sent something first class recorded and it took almost 2 weeks to arrive!! I thought the buyer was pulling a fast one, my postie often slings stuff over the garden gate so no signature and I thought this is what had happened but no it was signed for after 2 weeks!

FMTD if this baby is late I will be roping in dd's dad to get things moving but not like that [grn]

NaccetyMac · 26/11/2009 10:11

Hello ladies.

I am getting all stressed about an ebay pushchair, got a cheapie 3-wheeler but the seller is insisting it needs to go in two boxes. I said it didn't need to be in a box at all. Anyway, going to cost me £20 to courier a £15 pram.

maxybrown · 26/11/2009 10:12

lillypie. I have had that happen before something that was sent tome took 2 weeks to come 1st class recorded. But when you tracked it, it did say "received at XYZ post office on blah blah blah" whereas these just don't say anything at all

maxybrown · 26/11/2009 10:21

Just heard back form the company ought from and they say all their things are franked at source and sent recorded delivery, but that they have never had an item not showing up at all before either. Sheesh!! Sorry for being so blardy boring!

5inthebed · 26/11/2009 11:00

CB, have emailed you photos

I've had to buy DS2 some skecher trainers for school, as can't find ANY shoes that fit his skinny feet. Not even Clarks have decent shoes for him. I hate shopping for shoes for him, always takes me days to find a pair that fit. This time it's taken 3 days and three different shopping centres!

maxybrown · 26/11/2009 11:09

H don't 5in. DS needs new shoes and I am really putting it off. Just don't know where to go. he is so good at curling his toe up I have now noticed, he has quite a long big toe and he is very good at curling it right up and across to the side (?) so then he gets measured incorrectly anyway.

If you need narrow shoes, petasil is a gorgeous make and very narrow. They usually sell their shoes on shoeforkids Think I have the right make there anyway!!

5inthebed · 26/11/2009 11:14

Will have to have a look for those Maxy. Also, his right foot is practically a whole size smaller than his left one! Logistic nightmare!

maxybrown · 26/11/2009 11:18

lol, bless him. My feet are a bit like that though yes they are on the designer site just saw some called petasil little pets and are suitable for e-f width!!

5inthebed · 26/11/2009 11:21

DS2 is a D width!

maxybrown · 26/11/2009 11:29

OMG!!! Wow, that's like my niece. I have just noticed they are starting to out internal measurements up of makes of shoes too, that's good. i just can't face taking DS anywhere near a Clarks shop. I live near a big city, it is ridiculous that I struggle to get him decent shoes!!

nicolamumof3 · 26/11/2009 11:45

morning all, god im soooooo stressed.

no engineer should have been here between 9-11am. sooooooooooo pissed off to put it bluntly.

i've oftened been advised that recorded items taken much longer by p.o as they have to track them.

5in my Tate has v.narrow feet, then luka has v.fat ones. i do sympathise its a nightmare isn't it.

the more i think about it i hate this country, nothing works.

Maclaren · 26/11/2009 11:46

Morning all

We have the same problem with shoes but the other way round lol Max and Tom are H size I think unless your standard fit they just dont stock all the styles

I bought a new raincover for my Bugaboo which arrived today i went for this one just hope it fits lol

Oh has everyone seen the new dazzle here can you imagine trying to keep that clean!! I do like the sling and bag though!

maxybrown · 26/11/2009 11:51

Oh no Nicola, what a pain. have you contacted them? Bloomin useless.

The thing about these recorded items is that they were sent a week ago though and not even in the system yet, therefore like they have never been sent.

James used to be H but has gone down to a G now, although that's not always much better.

nicolamumof3 · 26/11/2009 11:58

luka's a G or an H.

eng here now, thinks it might be door lock, he might have to order parts....waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!

8 days no washing machine, so far.

carrielou2007 · 26/11/2009 12:06

Maclaren yes it will fit but it is a struggle, I tried on in Boots for the bug ages ago as loved that it fitted in tiny pouch but I found it a rubbish fit for the shape. Good for pliko until dd's feet were on the footrest so they got wet.

Dd is a G/H for shoes, I've bought from that site Maxy and have always been pleased. A make called chipmunk have been good for dd.

Still chucking it down here, have to go out in a min and too windy to keep hood up so I'll go all curly (and not in a good way!!)

nappyaddict · 26/11/2009 12:38

I find Startrite and Hush Puppies good for DS' shoes. I like him to have proper shoes and boots though. Not keen on converse type boots, plimsolls or those fake uggalikes cos I don't think they support the feet very well.

nicolamumof3 · 26/11/2009 12:40

Engineer here, 'needs new motor' he hasn't got one on board has to order parts, he tried a new door lock, wasn't that, tried a new control module, wasn't that. Be another week or so i reckon.

FlyMeToDunoon · 26/11/2009 12:42

Hope that was the engineer and he comes up with the goods.
I feel in limbo a bit. DP could finish work soon and I feel as if I need to take action but not sure what. A bit scary.

FlyMeToDunoon · 26/11/2009 12:43

x post
Shit thats rubbish!

maxybrown · 26/11/2009 12:44

Oh gawd Nicola, what a pain!!!!

NA - my biggest problem is the people who measure DS's feet rather than the actual shoes. But I do find Clarks (Startrite better) intensely boring and samey - oh and I despise velcro lol!! A lot of european boots are nice, but pricey!

There is a little independant shoe shop near DH's school so think I might take him there and see what they are like. They tend to sell different things. Sigh.....

nappyaddict · 26/11/2009 13:15

Why do you despise velcro?

FlyMeToDunoon · 26/11/2009 13:25

I despised velcro when the DDs were small as it was FAR too easy for them to remove shoes and boots and usually toss them out of a swiftly moving pushchair!
However when they went to nursery and early school then velcro came into it's own as they have to be able to do their own shoes up.

When I taught it drove me mad because some of the children would sit there on the carpet and often at a quiet time absent-mindedly doing and un-doing the velcro on their shoes. Aaaaaargh
