i think its thats ok as includes basket and footmuff which are extra's. the liner and r/c comes with it as standard and they can be bought BN for £175 on ebay. What colour?

maxybrown · 20/11/2009 14:12

lol Jan, yes you're on, i could do with a trip to London DS has never been tested for ears, but he hears things long before I do!!

SK when are you coming up and where do your inlaws live?? Are you up for Christmas??

Ooh Basl about the Nipper!! I have been looking at the elite. Think I will just stick with my fixed wheel nipper.

Maxy - you would love the shops - I live in Stoke Newington which is the trendier part of hackney. Church street is just near my and has 4 independent kids clothes shops and a nice traditional toy shop and enough cafes to keep anyone happy. It is kid central - you can't move for bugaboos - it is a bit yummy mummy (so not me - don't have enough cash) - but very child friendly with lots of groups and a fab big park - have I sold it to you?

maxybrown · 20/11/2009 14:23

Yeah apart form the yummy mummy bit - not me at all either! I am far too northern and down to earth for that lol!! Maybe we should do a New year trip

OP posts:
basl · 20/11/2009 14:26

Maxy, had you considered the elite to replace the nipper? I think i only have problems as my front door is not a standard size. The elite is lovley and i feel like nicola with her xt and feel so nervous about what to do as it has so many great features.

I am unsure about the mesh part as i wonder if this lets the wind and sun in as the elite has that fabby hood. I just want to be aable to get it in and out without any bother. Also i have used the elite out shopping and it was great even taken it on the bus but i think the nipper is maybe a bit longer and not so ideal for the odd shopping trip.

Nicola, that is a fair point about the price aas i don't want the footmuff really as i have a lovley silvery grey jane nest which would go lovley with the navy blue and silver nipper. I also have the retro blue spot buggysnuggle which i think would look lovely and the extra basket well i don't know if i need that. It just sounded such a great deal. Is the rain cover any good as this comes with it too. Oh and i would have to have it send so prob another 12.00 for that. Well i think i have talked myself out of this one Again!!!!! Hope your having a better day nicola and hope you have a lovley weekend. Maxy if you did want the elite i would always consider you if i decided to sell. Thanks ladies once again

maxybrown · 20/11/2009 14:50

Hmmm, yes Basl I was. I have a fixed wheel Nipper, that I love and is immaculate, BUT was after trying something with swivel....but like you, am worried I will regret it. I have seen a couple of baby joggers on ebay and didn't realise it had the same quick fold. w have a vw camper, and primarily is what the Nipper is for, when we go away. but it is so snug and nice to push. I don't find the mesh a problem tbh, but I know what you mean.

I do take Nipper on buses and trains (not folding it up) even with the fixed wheel, but at this time of year it is impossible in town with it being so busy. i cannot stretch to some of the prices on ebay for the Nippers nad the 360's are few and far between atm so they go for a lot. there was a buy it now one for £100 but had ripped foam handle and I am too fussy now for that

OP posts:
basl · 20/11/2009 14:58

oh i agree about the ripped foam handle. I would not want that. I feel sad about the elite as i paid a fortune for it i think with discount it was about £260?? but i know see them much cheaper on ebay. I have the all black one and it looks so nice but i am trying to be practicle about this and wonder if life would be easier with the nipper getting out the door. Shame we don't live near each other we could have had a swap for a week and we would both know then. I keep looking at the the offer and think it looks good. I just don't know what to do.

maxybrown · 20/11/2009 15:15

Yes that would have been good wouldn't it? Mine is fixed wheel though. There is a city in red on ebay atm BITOBE for £99 and a blue one brand new at £70 something but bet that will go for more anyway. How wide is the elite basl? have you got a very narrow front door? Is it a single?? lol lots of questions sorry!

OP posts:
maxybrown · 20/11/2009 15:19

Ooh I've just been watching it on the baby jogger website....like it

OP posts:
basl · 20/11/2009 15:53

just back from the nursery run and maxy yes it is a single and my door is extra narrow. The house we bought had an extension put on by the prev owners and did not put a standard size front door on. We had double glaz and they could not get over the size of door. It does fit but i have to twist and shuff but now i just bend down pop off the wheel and away i go. I think i am going off my head as i just can not make a decision about anything just now. I am still on the hunt for the best second pushchair for shopping etc. It takes over everything. Maybe i should just get the nipper and if not for me sell on all the bits you don't need and sell to you for what you were looking for.

I sound like dell boy now!!!!

maxybrown · 20/11/2009 15:57

Ha ha ha ha. Sounds like a plan to me!! I have never tried Nipper 360, would love to have a go at both the elite and nipper.....maybe I should do a tour of the country to all your houses

Bit sad atm, DH just home and one of the little boys at his school (Y7) very sweet, passed away in his sleep. very shocking and sad

OP posts:
basl · 20/11/2009 16:02

oh, that is awfull and here me moaning about prams just off to give my darlings a big hug now feel abit teary now. Catch up later Maxy hope you are ok. xx

maxybrown · 20/11/2009 16:12

Oh good glad it's not just me I never even met him, he had the same name as my DS. It's made me really teary. Is that silly when you don't know someone? I don't know Dh said he was such a sweet boy.

OP posts:
FlyMeToDunoon · 20/11/2009 16:53

Hi. How old was the boy maxy? Was he ill or was it unexpected?
How awful either way.

DP's company have announced that redundancies are in the pipeline. They are going to let people know over the next two weeks. So that will be a fun time Not!

janx · 20/11/2009 17:07

Was your dp his teacher? - that is so sad. Poor family - thats no age at all

Just been on the phone to nhs direct - luka drank some fairy liquid ...I has let him play at the sink with his new bath toys and turned around for 5 mins and he grabbed it off the shelf....its ok - low toxicity - may have an upset tummy - don't think he will be drinking that again! Must be more diligent with putting things away -

StrictlyKatty · 20/11/2009 17:09

Maxy they live in Hale and we're coming up from about the 20th to the 1st of January I'm excited!

StrictlyKatty · 20/11/2009 17:11

Oh I didn't read down That's so sad about his pupil, must have only been 12 same age as my best friends son

maxybrown · 20/11/2009 17:35

He was 11 and totally unexpected. He had cystic fibrosis and epilepsy but he was "fine" iyswim. Just went to bed and that was it yes DH taught him. he thought Dh was rich (HA!) because one day he saw him come in on a motorbike and then in his "van" bless him. I really feel for his parents, Dh not sure if he has siblings.

Sk, ah I see, right over Christmas then!! Will you be alloed out shopping? I don't drive so may be limited as to what I can lug with me

Oh Jan about the fairy hope he's ok, sure he will be

OP posts:
StrictlyKatty · 20/11/2009 17:49

I'll be going shopping Maxy, even if I have to run away I've been looking forward to my Cheadle date for months, it's so much better than Reading which is an hour away.

5inthebed · 20/11/2009 19:38

Maxy that is so sad Does your Dh work at a SN school?

Janx, my ds3 (11 months) ate some of that toilet duck fresh disk stuff last week, and was told just to give him loads of milk as it is an alkili or something like that.

DS2 got a certificate at school today so went to see him get it in assembly this afternoon. Had to sit on the floor with him, infront of all the other parents though as he saw me and didn't want to sit down.

janx · 20/11/2009 19:45

Blimey 5 you must have got a shock - I wasn't too worried as I thought fairy would be ok..but toilet duck.

Still looking for a footmuff - one of you must have one

janx · 20/11/2009 19:47

Aw - how old is your ds 5? What was the certificate for?

citybranch · 20/11/2009 20:02

maxy, that is really sad

Janx, Church street is lovely. When I first moved out of home I looked at renting a flat near there! It was pricey though so lived in Bethnal green instead!

I'm umming and ahhing about a mountain buggy advertised on gumtree...£160. does it sound a fair price?

maxybrown · 20/11/2009 20:16

I know, so so sad. No, not special needs school 5in. I mean he had SN although I don't think he was very bad with his cystic fibrosis.

And SK, ah Hale!! no wonder they don't like you saying they live in Manchester very nice. The JoJo shop is in Hale small box shop though. I was going to say you can always bring DS over to play but might feel embarrassed now lol!

StrictlyKatty · 20/11/2009 20:28
