janx · 20/11/2009 13:15

I'll just rant to myself then

StrictlyKatty · 20/11/2009 13:27

awwww janx, that is crap, it's in the post is the oldest line in the book!

maxybrown · 20/11/2009 13:31

lol I guess what I meant can anyone GET to harrods easily enough

Poor you about the car thing. can you mention getting police involed etc???

What you like SK?! I looked at sizes on website. And 2/3 would DEf be way too big for DS, maybe I should have the duffle from you Are you still interested in Bedspread? going to take pics of things now! Finally.

Feel really lazy today....tut tut.

OP posts:
janx · 20/11/2009 13:33

Thanks SK - if it doesn't come tomorrow I am going to call him and inform him that I am taking through the insurance company!
Was actually thinking of spending the money on something else ...we have a pretty old ford focus estate and its not like I am going to sell it on...plus its only cosmetic.

nicolamumof3 · 20/11/2009 13:39

how frustrating janx, hope you get it soon.

i like the blue one best SK, if those fit i'd find it highly unlikely duffle would so yes sell to maxy!! lol.

You need at least 2 coats anyway, mine have various coats/jackets/waterproofs/snowsuits etc, as they get so dirty over winter.

still waiting for lady to arrive for xt...i told her between 1&2 im getting impatient now, also need to pack my bits to go away and trying to clean kitchen/bathroom as my mum is staying.

oh btw found filter on machine but it was so blooming stiff even dh couldn't undo it!!

maxybrown · 20/11/2009 13:44

lol about the filter Nicola!! Spray at it with WD40 lol.

Had a look at sizes and the duffle arm is almost 3" shorter than the 2/3 padded, actually not sure the Duffle would even fit my DS!! Too small maybe. Oh who knows I'm fed up with measuring him! maybe only JUST as it is a bit shorter than the sherpa zip thru and that "fits" but still really needs turning up a little and that is longer. Not worth me getting though as it would just fit. SK does that duffle fit your DS??!!

OP posts:
StrictlyKatty · 20/11/2009 13:46

Well DS is still wearing his red duffle with the sleves turned up!

nicolamumof3 · 20/11/2009 13:47

lady not coming to see xt, she wants something 'cheaper' as taking it on flights wtf [hmmm]

listing showing on ebay so hopefully it will sell over w/end.

Im annoyed as thought the other lady was having it so i sold the footmuff on ebay already, so it will have to go now as im not going to buy an identical footmuff for it.

StrictlyKatty · 20/11/2009 13:48

I don't know what it is about the padded I think it's the the wrists are elastic so it probs just bunches up round the arms but never hangs down over the wrists so looks like a perfect fit when actually there is probs loads of growing room

maxybrown · 20/11/2009 13:48

oh!??!! Well I don't get the measurements then on Boden!! lol. Who knows.

OP posts:
maxybrown · 20/11/2009 13:50

Oh yes that would make sense SK. I know what you mean.

Oh no Nicola. What's the matter with people?? Surely she knew that BEFORE one o clock??? It will def sell on ebay, you've really been messed about with it haven't you?

OP posts:
janx · 20/11/2009 13:50

Maxy - do you have shares in wd40?

Not sure about getting police involved - the police round here have quite a lot on their hands - another shooting in hackney last night and not too far from me

Maxy - took ds to a little group focusing on encouraging talking. We were sat around having snacks and the speech therapist was trying to get the children to choose and say which fruit they wanted - she offered Luka a piece of apple and orange and said what would you like Luka - apple or orange - Luka nodded his head and grabbed both! I had to laugh

StrictlyKatty · 20/11/2009 13:51

Yeah it's so odd. I don't know how but in my mind they both fit fine but the duffle needs sleves rolled up and padded doesn't! Must be the eslatic wrists, cos they go tight they can't go over the hands really. IYSWIM.

Would you want the red duffle or the grey one then. Grey I don't even have yet so will be new red he's worn maybe 6 times.

maxybrown · 20/11/2009 13:51

Right, I caved in and measured DS's arm. from sort of neck to cuff he is only 13" so duffle should fit him. Little midget boy of mine

OP posts:
StrictlyKatty · 20/11/2009 13:53

wow that is pretty small! Think of all the use you'll get out his clothes though

nicolamumof3 · 20/11/2009 13:54

lol you and those duffles!! they are bloody gorgeous tho but i think they need proper coats now unless in pushchair all the time? luka does have a lightweight jacket on still if i know he won't be getting out!!

janx your luka sounds so much like mine!! he is so shy if anyone talks to him he just turns his head and rolls his eyes. Where as my older too are so outgoing.

maxybrown · 20/11/2009 13:55

Ooh sounds scary Jan and i love WD40, they should be paying me shouldn't they? hehe hehe.

Ha that was funny about the fruit. no amount of any choices will get james to talk, he has usually decided already he is just a little so and so when it comes to talking I think.

Think I prefer the grey Sk, but like you said, you haven't got it yet!!! I need to ring them really and see if I have any credit with them as did the refer a friend thing when it was £5, but I know it isn't added straight away.

BexieID · 20/11/2009 13:55

janx, I would have gone through my insurance in the first place. Even just by phoning them with the other guys details. He can then agree with his insurance whether it goes through them or not. I know it's a right hassle and they could just decide to right your car off (like they did with us when our Hyundai was broken into and when someone drove into the back of our Scenic on holiday). In fact, you seem to get a better pay out when it's not your fault, no matter on condition of your car. We did. £2100 of damage and we got £1500 back, which was the most quoted for the car on Parkers. We valued it ourselves at £700!

The other thing to think about is car seats in the car though. Even though they weren't occupied, according to Maxi-Cosi when I e-mailed them, they should be replaced as well. If I don't hear from Tesco today, i'll be phoning them again, as they were supposed to be re-imbursing me for the car seat.

StrictlyKatty · 20/11/2009 13:57

There is just something about them that draws me in LOL

DS wore it this week, if we're going in the car somewhere and then into a shopping centre he gets too hot in a big coat so he wears the duffle.

Maxy how much would you want for the bedspread? I've done all my Xmas shopping and I'm gettin twitchy!

maxybrown · 20/11/2009 13:58

I know, but I get fed up of the clothes before he grows out of them i am worried now, maybe he will always be this msall with mahoosive feet oh no....

Well James is so hot all of the time, he would run around in T shirt all of the time if I let him. If out locally he walks but has thick Gap duffle although seems very comfortable in the sherpa fleece which is lined. Then I have the jojo....oh groan, tis terrible. plus he has a columbia snowuit STOP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol...

OP posts:
StrictlyKatty · 20/11/2009 14:00

What can I say I love coats I can't wait til DS is 4 so he can get a Barbour coat to match mine. How sad is that

maxybrown · 20/11/2009 14:00

Gosh we are all posting at the same time and getting crossed over!!

£30 plus post Sk as brand new. Or you can collect it as it is very heavy, lovely.

OP posts:
StrictlyKatty · 20/11/2009 14:02

Cool well I've have a look when you've done piccies and show the Grinch (DH)

So you'll need to bring the wellie box and bedspread and I'll need to bring the Pashley and 4 Boden coats to Cheadle right?!

janx · 20/11/2009 14:03

You are right Bexie - I hardly ever use the car, but am going to get dd a new seat as it was her side. My last car was written off when the man behind me decided not to stop at the roundabout!

We should get our non-talking boys together. Have just had a letter for a hearing appt for ds. I don't think there is anything wrong with his hearing though it is just selective. He will immediatley respond to - would you like some pudding?...but somehow doesn't hear - time for bed!

basl · 20/11/2009 14:05

Hi everyone, what do you think to this offer. I have decided well i think i have to sell the bjce and try a nipper360. I was looking on gumtree and there is a lady selling one that she says has only been used 5 times max not in the rain or in any mud. It comes with footmuff, new liner, new raincover, new basket and she says the covers are immaculate. All this for £160. Am i mad to go for this??? I only want the three wheeler for my nursery runs which are on bumpy pavements but i am still having to take wheel of before pushing the elite out the door. what do you all think?
