Well, I'm back but need to nip to PO
It went very well this morning, lady was lovely and she was very impressed with him and thinks his speech will just come when he needs it. Sh tried to get him into a group, but no luck. She said because he has no other issues, it is hard to fit him in as most of the children they see have other issues too, so they end up waiting a while to get 4 children with ONLY speech problem. Ah well. She will see him again in jan though.
THEN, I made the fatal mistake of going into Clarks......can everyone please please stop me next time. There was one teenager in there, with a face like a wet weekend and lank greasy hair and shouldrs dragging on the floor....you get my drift! Anyway, I was nice and jolly...please can you measure his feet for me/ Well, I've never seen it doen that quickly in my life! Surprised she even had time to read the gauge. Apparently, he now has smaller feet than he did in the summer......she didn't like me telling her this and got all hoighty saying she has 5 years experience (even though she had to whip out the back to find out what size a 25 was) blah blah and that the shoes he had in the summer must have been a manufacturing fault seeing as his toes are right at the end of the them. She did not offer to try anything on him ( to prove her point) or anything. Just told me to bring the summer shoes back in. I said oh right well his sandals must have had a maufacturing problem too as they were the same size. "LIKE I SAID" she said to me, bring them in. HUH!! She checked his feet in the kickers and decided they were a whole size too big for him....I realised afterwards that she had actually felt his second toe in (as his big toe is well onto where the stitching is) and he has a really long big toe. AAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH
Sorry, rant over but for pity's sake.....I even feel like starting an am I being unresaonable thread....
