Glad your ds is a little better today tiggy. x lol at my [fsanta!]...too early in the day for me clearly....I meant Xmas Smile....which is much more civilized. Goodness knows what santa thought about my typing error! Xmas Blush

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 22/12/2011 11:15

New micralite toro? Pics with both your children in and seat measurements just for me? X
You might even like it and it won't hurt your back being so light. You could to try it with their rider board too. Maybe call them and ask for a loan one so you can review for best buggy?
They are british so you never know to they might oblige? Not that british makes them more generous. Just maybe they need more uk promotion?

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 22/12/2011 12:08

My tester has just returned the Babyzen. Interestingly her favourite so far as been the Easywalker Qtro. She liked the 4 wheel stability. But unsurprisingly all the men in her life (DH, brothers etc) couldn't wait to push the Babyzen! She said she got stopped in the street several times to talk about the light!

Everyone here seems to love Micralites. Are the seats comfy though? Maybe it's one to find out more about like you say!

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 22/12/2011 15:59

It was such a dilemma for me to choose between the qtro and the sky. If the qtro front wheels were bigger than 8.5 " I would have had more coincidence in proper off road ability.
Today ds fell asleep in the sky again. Once fully reclined there is no under seat basket access. A bit tricky with xmas shopping! Hoping I'm all finished with that now.
Tiggy I think the micralite is a great alternative to a maclaren, and a bee for an older baby, so it would be good to have it reviewed on bb.
I really must make time after the hols to write bb some reviews.

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 22/12/2011 16:06

My moo cow buggy snuggle and free hat arrived and they are just gorgeous!
Ds loves, the hat. Unusually. He can tickle tickle his nose with the tassles while wearing it. He liked the fur and the pocket for his toy. I got the brown and cream version which looks so nice with the olive buggy.

suzie38 · 22/12/2011 16:36

I went to look at the Rider today...I really like it...It's not as bouncy as the Go but the compact fold makes up for it especially if i rearrange the living room, i won't have storage under the stairs anymore...Only issue is the small basket though as someone said i can stand a big shopping bag in the basket as there's lots of spare height under the seat...Plus the Joolz bag would work behind the seat and i'd put a Bagabottle on the handle and the Jane footmuffs have small storage space...Other issue possibly is no footrest though i know years ago everyone had Dreamers/Super Dreamers/ Wayfarers and they had no footrest and toddlers had to manage...I could always have the footrest up anyway...Just can't decide where to buy now...My local shop does mail order but it's the issue of delivery...It's cheaper to buy that way...Kiddicare has more specific delivery but i've heard of customer service issues...I've had good experiences with Winstanley's Pramworld...If i bought from local shop via mail order i could get the Paper Moon one for £309 which is an £85 saving but i love the pink Buganvila but that's £355 which is the price most people are selling it for.

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 22/12/2011 17:02

The Rider sounds great. It looked good when I saw it. I have to say my DD usually dangles her feet anyway even if there is a footrest.

The Buggysnuggle and hat sound fun! Lol re tickling DS!

My DS is much better. He's got cross today because he was still hungry after about 8ozs of milk!! He's only been sick once too and has been playing on the iPad and we have had one crawling movement! No smiles yet though. I think we are on the mend! Hurray!

That's fantastic news Tiggy Long may it continue!!!

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 22/12/2011 17:13

So pleased your ds is on the mend tiggy.
The jane pushchairs are so plush.
So far I'm very happy with the performance of the sky. Ds has been asleep in it for a couple of hours now! I tried to wake him but he's very grumpy and said "I want to stay in here!" He certainly has room to sleep flat out. I like that the hood back is not sewn to the seat back so it's not pressing on his head and even when he's taller he should still be comfortable even if the top of his head is over by an inch or two.

misdee · 22/12/2011 18:00

i really didnt like the micralite that much. i kept kicking the back wheels, couldnt get the handles comfty and hated the seat. shame as the concept is lovely.

i am a maclaren fan, and love the fact they come with a lifetime guarentee as well.

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 22/12/2011 19:40

If you use the micralite extension handles and position them like this ) ( so they look a little like grasshopper antennae it works very well indeed. You have enough distance to not kick the back and it gives better leverage for steering.
They are so much lighter and easier to push than an umbrella fold.
What I really most like is that you can add the ATK wheels and have a seriously good all terrain stroller that packs tiny for travel. The hammock seat if the fast fold gives suspension so you can take it over very rough ground and your child is still getting a smooth ride.
The micralite is the only pushchair that will push easily over a pebble beach. Out performing even three wheelers. It's rear wheel drive. The same effect as pulling a front wheel drive all terrain backwards.
If I short out my cc bill I may get one yet. And sell my bjcm.

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 22/12/2011 23:20

i have a micralite fast fold, with the extendable handles, rider board and atk. they are lovely to push even with the buggy board, but you do need buggy weights on the front wheels. the seat on the fast fold is huge ds fits in it with the hood over, but the basket is rubbish.
so pleased to hear ds is on the mend.
i really rate kiddicare they were brill with my faulty pushchair, picked it up free of charge at a time that suited me and phoned me and sorted out refund, very helpful, i also got my vista from them.

aswellasyou · 22/12/2011 23:25

Tiggy, I'm so glad he's.getting better. I agree you should review a Micralite.
Suzie, you're making me want a Rider even more! Did it feel like the suspension would be goid?

aswellasyou · 23/12/2011 09:15

Prams, there's a 2011 Black Thunder B-Mobile on eBay on a one day auction with free postage. I have a feeling it'll sell really cheaply. It's currently at £1.04.

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 23/12/2011 10:19

oooo thanks, i shall watch it, the one i had found ended up being out of stock Hmm
monkeys hows your mum?

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 23/12/2011 10:20

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 23/12/2011 10:24

i doubt dd2 boots will turn up this side of xmas Sad i am guessing that they have left the us postal service and in ours, as they are no longer being tracked, still will be a nice surprise in the new year!!!!

saoirse86 · 23/12/2011 10:54

Tiggy I hope he's doing better and you get to have a lovely Christmas. Xmas Smile

I think you should get an oyster, bee and micralite! I think that oysters and bees are so common now that it would be useful to have info on them. Micralites aren't common round here, maybe more in other places, but I think they're something so many parents are interested in that people (including me) reading bb would be interested to read your thoughts on it. You can get that all done before the June, versa and gt are out right?! Xmas Wink

aswellasyou · 23/12/2011 10:59

Oh sorry Prams. I didn't actually read it, just saw the free second class recorded in the postage bit. What a shame.

saoirse86 · 23/12/2011 11:19

Why is this zapp selling for so much?! I've been thinking of selling my zapp and getting something else, maybe a baby jogger, maybe a micralite, not sure. So I've been looking to see how much it could sell for and they seem so varied. Our has hardly been used really as it's just been for GP's really, and even then they don't always have the zapp. So anyway, I just can't work out how much I'd try selling it for. I've also got the cat seat adapters still and the foot muff. Has anyone sold one recently? And does the colour make a difference to the sale price? Xmas Confused

saoirse86 · 23/12/2011 11:20

Sorry for all the typos! Xmas Blush I blame the iPad!

aswellasyou · 23/12/2011 11:40

That's so strange. List yours and see what happens. Then buy me a Jane Rider

saoirse86 · 23/12/2011 11:44

I need to get it back from the pil's first and then get DP on side! Xmas Hmm

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 23/12/2011 12:54

My Zapp only went for £50 and I posted it. That blue one is odd. There's an ad above it for a brand new one from Kiddicare for just £5 more!

Are you buying Saoirse? That's quite a shopping list!!!!
We need the Taga to sell really. The Peach wiped my circular pushchair money out for now! Hubby needs to pay me his tax rebate and some money he's due Xmas Grin Yes, I have claimed it :) He's a good hubby :) I have some pushchairs etc to sell too. BUT we also have a huge party to pay for this year.....so it could be a quieter year.

DS was better last night, crawling, laughing etc. But he's wiped out again today and full of cold rather than just struggling to breathe. I think he just needs time but I hope he perks up for Christmas. He pretty much missed last year by being wiped out by an allergic reaction / antihistamines. But we started to construct DDs dolls house that's been a nightmare to paint! We finished putting up the decorations too.

The Gymboree clothes have arrived and are gorgeous. I bought most in size bigger though which is a shame as they would have been ab this Christmas. But DD is really happy as I bought her tons of hair accessories and she looks like Everything's Rosie with ribbons everywhere! Very cute!
