anyone know what this is?

Been looking at compact doubles (not for me!), and this looks pretty compact and the black ones cool.

FriggFRIGG · 14/06/2011 22:34

its this one i think

OP posts:
Honeydragon · 14/06/2011 22:37

Aaaah ha, ta Frigg. I rather like the look of it, it might be worth a try for £50.00

Guildfordnanny · 15/06/2011 07:29

Well done guys for deciding. I just hope the Contours doesn't fall apart or anything! Just don't blame me based on a quick push. I am looking forward to using mine though. That's a Jusonne tandem. I don't know the name but I found this site www.jusonne.co.uk/twin-double-and-triplet-triple-pushchairs-56-c.asp with a quad pushchair on! There's also a Brevi B tandem that looks a bit Graco like. It's sill o'clock here! I stayed up until my normal 2am bedtime talking to OH on the phone - first time we have been apart for a night other than me having babies - and I feel wrecked now. Good job I brought magic wake up cream! I need to be bright and awake to learn about Phil&Teds, MB and Nippers. I am sooo excited! I think I talked myself out of a +one last night. It simply won't fit in my car boot!

FriggFRIGG · 15/06/2011 08:40

Well if it does guild,at least it was only cheap and it will have satisfied my curiosity! im still planning to buy the duet anyway,so i'll at least have something lined up Grin
im sooo excited for you!
MB headquarters eh?!
take a note pad!!Grin
they seemed very nice when DP decided to try to put together the explorer and managed to put the wheels on backwards emailed me back within an hour or two...

(ask them for a universal snack tray, that would be amazing!)Grin

i like the sound of magic wake up cream,i could really do with some of that!where do i purchace such wonderus stuff?Grin

Still loving our swift here! Perhaps It's cured me of buggy addiction. It really is my holy grail! I wish I'd chosen this one in the first place. However it was fun trying all those other pushchairs.
Today I've assembled a bike, and am about to assemble the weehoo....just stopping to eat as. my tummy is rumbling loudly. I forgot breakfast!

FriggFRIGG · 15/06/2011 21:44

guild! how was your day????!!!!! Grin

OP posts:
Guildfordnanny · 15/06/2011 22:09

Lol...I am here :D BRILLIANT day. Lots of hands on stuff. I think I have a iffy Verve so hopefully they will take it back to look at but it may explain some of my niggles. Their Verve was easier to do. Got to play with the Verve, Vibe, Explorer, Classic, Duo, Urban Jungle, Swift, Terrain and see the +One, Freerider and then things like their backpacks, nest and travel cot. the +One was better than I remembered and will order one. I will chop a chunk put of my car boot liner to fit it in ;) or a magic fairy will buy me a bigger car? news re the Duet. The first samples for the sales reps arrive in a few days time ie at the very end of the month. End of July is still looking good for the first proper arrivals with more in September. We talked about it on and off though. I won choccies in the team quiz, had delicious food, good company, saw Dan and Annalise from Lullaboo Baby, met up with one of my best reviewers who I invited along for the day, got a tour of some of Out n About, and learnt a lot, and had fun! The only problem is I now have a wish list of a +One, Duet and Swift with freerider! As well as the Strawberry and BJCM 4 wheel!

FriggFRIGG · 15/06/2011 22:27

oh im glad you had fun guild! sounds fabbo!
makes note to write more reviews for BB Grin

sooo,today was the LAST straw.

I DO NOT COPE WELL WITH SIDE BY SIDES.

DP says i cant order the duet,as DD will end up killing DS.Sad
they are just too close! he'll be drifting off to sleep, she starts stroking his hand, nice,i think to myself, thats sweet of her.then he SCREAMS,"what happened?" i ask "i pinched him, mummy, like this" DD says, demonstrating, que more screaming from DS.
poor DS Sad
she also, very kindly gave him one of her snacks, except it wasnt really suitable for him,so even when shes being nice its dangerous

guild please tell me i can have the +one....tell me its BETTER!
tell me the recline is sorted,
and she wont be able to harm him...Hmm

OP posts:
Guildfordnanny · 15/06/2011 22:55

Hmm..you need the Contours - nice and far apart! The +One could be worse TBH. Apparently changes are being made - I believe a recline could be one of them. There is a great recline in single mode to lie flat, it's just in tandem mode as things stand now that you would crush the child behinds legs if you did more than a tiny recline. There is no real sides to the front seat either. I would worry about my baby flopping to one side. So let's hope a recline comes on the back seat....But annoyance factor could be worse eg hair pulling or kicking underneath the seat from the back child. I think we need to wait for more info on the +One - there did sound like some adjustments were being made.

Guildfordnanny · 15/06/2011 22:56

Sorry about the Duet / your children BTW. How about barbed wire fencing?? (joke)

FriggFRIGG · 15/06/2011 23:03

maybe not barbed wire,BUT,some sort of pull out divider that goes from between the seats and fixes on to the hood would be perfect.
retractable like.
like the sunshades you get in swish cars,on the windows.
that whoosh up and down.
genius.Wink Grin

OP posts:
FriggFRIGG · 15/06/2011 23:06

YY the contours will be perfect...
BUT,large i expect, and i'll get annoyed and want something more compact, hmm if only DD could sit up front...any chance the back seat is high enough that DS could see out?

OP posts:
Guildfordnanny · 15/06/2011 23:06

Get inventing ;) Have you tried a B Dual?

FriggFRIGG · 15/06/2011 23:08

oh! and i now REALLY want a bumbleride flyer with a snackpack, might sell the MB duo and buy the flyer once the contours arrives Grin

OP posts:
Guildfordnanny · 15/06/2011 23:08

Is DS your youngest? I am sure there is plenty of view depending on which position you put the seats in. The back seat is a tad higher.

Guildfordnanny · 15/06/2011 23:11

The snack pack looks neat but my children only eat in pushchairs in dire emergencies and only drink water. Baby Jogger do good pocket consoles for children and Bugaboo have their new one out too.

FriggFRIGG · 15/06/2011 23:14

yes i had a B-dual,it was great,Smile
but i always had ds facing me up top and DD was none to keen on the lower seat, she couldnt see much.however,if i put DS down there he wouldnt sleep and screamed,a lot Hmm
then i had a problem with the brake,so i just took it back, and bought a shiney more compact explorer,
however,as i know because ive had the E3,the sport (twice) and the vibe my children DO NOT like the bottom seat and just end up crying when they're down there.
i have NO IDEA why i though this would be different because the hoods were big and the seat was fancy, but i did.

OP posts:
FriggFRIGG · 15/06/2011 23:15

yes DS is youngest at 9 months DD is eldest at 2.11 yrs.

if he was at the BACK of the +one,it SHOULD work really well...

OP posts:
Guildfordnanny · 16/06/2011 00:57

I would probably put my baby at the back too. In fact there may even be a possibility (if MB don't do it) to recline the back seat by padding it from underneath. The back seat is simply a removeable L shape (that lies flat for newborn mode). I think the L is too upright for a baby or younger toddler but you could stuff something underneath. But hopefully MB will address this issue. I wish the + one wasn't so long folded. They moved the hood down today which would be another bonus of the baby in the back ie them not needing the hood up tall thus eliminating the gap at the back of the seat / hood when it is raised. Finally it's less exposed and more snug in the back. Also the front seat is something like 3 inches taller than the Urban Jungle so it's not small. Having a little one at the back would restrict their view especially with the hood up but I am sure my baby will look out of the sides or up through the mesh in the expanding hood panels.

MonkeysPunk · 16/06/2011 07:50

I once had the fisher price stand n ride. It was huge!
Where the older child stood or sat at the back there was an adjustable basket, so once you'd dropped your older child off at nursery you could expand it to the full size of a grocery cart!
However the buggy was long, tricky with kerbs and in swivel wheel mode followed the camber of the pavement. If you locked the wheels straight it was hard to corner.
They didn't make it for long.

suzie38 · 16/06/2011 08:59

I emailed the Flyer selling people as it hadn't been marked as dispatched...So got a snuffy email back saying it would take 3-4 weeks to arrive but even so not excuse not to dispatch it quickly especially as they supposedly had 50 in stock...Only to then get an email to say Bumbleride wouldn't have it until July 11th then it'd have to be shipped to the sellers warehouse as Bumbleride don't ship directly to the UK...So do i want to change my Ruby order to either Seagrass, Lava or the discontinued Spice...DD chose Seagrass as i couldn't decide myself...Mind you i made a big mistake letting her chose the apple Oyster pack so hoping she's got better taste this time!!!

Guildfordnanny · 16/06/2011 09:51

FriggFRIGG I guess there is no point telling you that the Duet is on Mountain Buggy's website today? But do go and play the guess the age of the children in the seats. I would be curious as to your guesstimates ;)

Guildfordnanny · 16/06/2011 09:52

BTW I can't see the Flas h or Java presentation thingy but the images are under Buy now on the RH side.
