What's a sand city mini??? I haven't used the air tyres yet, DH took DD to the park using them and he says they're alright but then he never pushed it with the original wheels on...It'll be Wednesday before i can test them out...My initial thought was 'My god it's hard to push' until i realised i'd put a load of milk in the tray after getting out of the car...The Oyster certainly isn't as nice to push as a Bee Plus but i just wanted one and will most likely sell it if i do get a Strawberry...I also bought the snack tray off eBay last night which will be very handy...As to the snow i think with most pushchairs the back wheels work fine, it's the front wheels that get jammed with snow because of the way most are made...It's only back wheels that can be air tyres...£25 a pair, cheap compared to Bugaboos at around £60+ a pair.

suzie38 · 13/06/2011 21:10

Watching the Waltons and they had 3 double Cindico buggies...Anyone remember those??? I nearly bought DD a vintage dolly version.

Guildfordnanny · 13/06/2011 21:15

I opened up the Halo earlier and it is a fab stroller. Great features eg large hood, lie nearly flat, lift up footrest, magnets to hold the hood edges neatly, good strap seat recline, lovely padded liner, footmuff thingy. It's comparable to the City Mini - in fact it may even be smaller. The only two negatives are the lack of a storage basket. The elastic straps are fine for coats but not much else. And the straps slide onto the buckle and thus slide off as well and I had to keep sliding them back into place to buckle up. But the quality of Silver cross is there. The fold is easy and neat and surprisingly small. The handle height is good. In fact as a cheap great quality stroller it's an absolute and utter bargain! Fab for holidays!

Guildfordnanny · 13/06/2011 21:16

Oooh Baby Gizmo had a video yesterday of their child testing out a dolls pram.

banjaxed · 13/06/2011 21:20

Anyone looking to sell a city mini? I'm desperate for one (though don't need one) and just missed out on a bid on ebay. Need cheering up.

Honeydragon · 13/06/2011 21:38

Heeeeelp

What realistically can I get for a original Peg perego Aria? It's in good condition has matching cosy toes etc and is like the grown up version of this one

I know not a lot, but ebay is not my friend as they are all pick up only with bits missing. I don't know what to charge but need at least £15 after fees.

MonkeysPunk · 13/06/2011 21:43

Sorry, the sand city mini I referred to is just a baby jogger city mini in the sand cream colour.
Personally I don't rate silver cross highly for quality since the name was bought when they went bust, about 2002.
Since then it seems to be less durable quality and just not that nice. I'm not even sure the coach builts they do are as good. Especially the wheels and tyres. That is just my personal opinion based on my observations though.

suzie38 · 13/06/2011 21:44

I sold my Aria, that got for free via Realcycle, for either £20 or £25...It's a while back now...Mine didn't even have a footmuff, just a raincover.

Dabulskiene · 13/06/2011 21:45

Banjaxed the sand bjcm was £175 @ JL when i looked. That seemed a good price.

Honeydragon · 13/06/2011 21:47

Guildfordnanny · 13/06/2011 22:01

Hi Bella! You will definitely end up poorer on this thread! I have never had a Bee! Am I the only buggy addict in the world never to have tried one? I thought Boots was the best price for a BJCM? Or do they not do sand?

suzie38 · 13/06/2011 22:03

Yes...Not a good idea to come here...I spent over £600 last week buying 2 America pushchairs i'd seen because of a link someone posted here...Anyway Good Evening and welcome.

ToysRLuv · 13/06/2011 22:03

GN: The Halo sounds good! I'll keep that in mind if the Nuna's no good for me.

Bought some nice seat liners for the Nuna, as it's colours are a bit yuck (it's the grey/green one).

suzie38 · 13/06/2011 22:06

I've got the yellow Nuna, bought a seat liner but the green was a lot darker than the picture...Not used it yet as bought the seat part of a footmuff to use in bad weather, not that i used that either!!!

Guildfordnanny · 13/06/2011 22:16

The Halo really reminds me of the expensive Xtreet....it's very similar but without the basket. It's fab!

ToysRLuv · 13/06/2011 22:17

The yellow Nuna is gorgeous. I wish I was buying that (the green/grey one was cheapest and closest.

aswellasyou · 13/06/2011 22:24

Hi Bella!
Guildford, I thought the Xtreet reminded me of the Halo. I'm glad you like it. The two things that bother me are the lack of basket and the tyres not being very good for rough ground. I've not had a problem with the straps slipping on mine though. I think the straps are the same on their strollers. Not positive though. I do really like it which is why I'm having difficulty coming round to the idea of selling it. I also can't decide whether it would be better to sell it as seperate lots or just as one complete travel system. It's amazing how much more easily my daughter falls asleep in it than any other pushchair she's been in. That's probably because of the babynest though. I know I could move it onto one of the others but I don't like that it's a different make.Blush

aswellasyou · 13/06/2011 22:31

Oh I meant to ask, did you try your daughter in the Halo? I've always thought the seat looks quite big but it's hard to tell when you only ever put a baby in it.

Guildfordnanny · 13/06/2011 23:31

Yes, I did...I took some photos somewhere...but am having a MENTAL night tonight. She fitted great with loads of room :) My baby always sleeps in his City Mini but rarely in another pushchai (although he did in the Kobi)
