Oh my god I spent almost this on my Gecko. I want to buy it now!

aswellasyou · 13/06/2011 11:27

I bet you could sell it on eBay for more than this after eBay/PayPal fees.

Guildfordnanny · 13/06/2011 11:42

Ooh so they offer to pay import fees. You could definitely make a profit on that. It's a small business in the making lol! I don't see me keeping mine once I have finished if it's that long lol!

FriggFRIGG · 13/06/2011 11:47

oooh,i really want to buy it NOW!! if i had £160 in my PP i certainly would....off to try to convince DP its a business plan Wink

OP posts:
aswellasyou · 13/06/2011 12:03

You may find that you end up paying more import fees but I assume they know what they're talking about in terms of how much it will be. It is a business plan. Considering a second hand one sold on ebay last week for £200, you could buy it, use it until you steal find the money for a Duet, then sell it while still making a profit!Grin I'm glad my flat's too small for any more pushchairs or I'd keep buying bargains like this one.

Guildfordnanny · 13/06/2011 12:06

I keep looking out of the window but no courier yet.....I hate living in the middle of nowhere at times. We get no post on Saturdays or Mondays and then everything arrives on a Tuesday and OH thinks then that I have bought tons especially when the post man brings crates and postal sacks in Blush but we buy everything online from Sellotape to socks, baby bottles, books and also pushchairs ;) But I am away on Wednesday and if three pushchairs arrive on the same day then it will look bad! Hmm FriggFRIGG just buy one! If you hate it there is time to resell it before the Duet!

aswellasyou · 13/06/2011 12:54

That'd be funny if you do get three in one go! I get three different people delivering letters, parcels and big boxes from Royal Mail. There have been times I've had all three on one day. And then of course there's a different person for each delivery company. I'm also the only person who ever seems to answer the outside door for a block of 12 flats so I'm always seeing postmen/women. And almost without fail, I'm in my pyjamas! I keep wanting to order loads of the Mamas and Papas brochures with the £5 gift card in but I'm too embarrassed because it's the same woman every time.Blush

Guildfordnanny · 13/06/2011 13:02

Lol re being in your PJs and not ordering the M&P catalogues! We get different postmen every day! But thankfully we have just had two courier deliveries! First was the Taga wgphich was beautifully wrapped and is in perfect condition. Hubby is very happy and was so engrossed that I don't think he noticed the Halo slide in through the door! I haven't opened the Halo yet.

saoirse86 · 13/06/2011 13:04

Hehe Guildford! I don't know where I'd put any secret pushchairs, DP's always onto me. He even accused me of buying a new one last week when I said aswell and I were going to wolverhampton to collect something. Shock Guildford where do you hide store all your pushchairs?

aswellasyou · 13/06/2011 13:18

I'm impressed the Taga was in good condition. You'd think it would get scuffed really quickly.
Saoirse, he's a stupid head.

Honeydragon · 13/06/2011 13:48

I know nothing about it, but Frigg is the Obaby Zoom a option? I rather like that.

Guildfordnanny · 13/06/2011 14:28

No, the Taga is absolutely perfect :) I'm chasing around the world for a second seat now! My baby's room is my pushchair room currently but we need to clear some room in the shed for the Taga! Hubby works from home next to the front door so it's hard to hide anything! He doesn't know about the Mutsy yet Confused. The Zoom is expensive even second hand. I am trying to borrow one to review because they are too much to buy.

suzie38 · 13/06/2011 14:34

DH is impressed by the Taga but not impressed with the price!!! Mind you if we had have moved and got rid of one of our cars, it would be far cheaper than keeping both cars...He could have used it to drive DD to his parents house.

MonkeysPunk · 13/06/2011 14:35

Guildfordnanny if you sell the Taga do give me a shout. I looked and looked online but they were too expensive. I missed getting one cheap from www.kiddicare.com
I would also be interested to hear what you think of it.

Honeydragon · 13/06/2011 14:36

The Tage double set pops up on ebay from time to time, and not many bidders so they get a good price Smile

suzie38 · 13/06/2011 14:38

Dh knows about all my purchases so no surprises when they arrive...Mind you everything except buggies goes to my parents as they're nearly always in...Mind you mum gets a bit annoyed with all the stuff i buy...She'd bust a gut if she actually knew how many pushchairs i've had!!! Bought an Apple pack and air tyres for my Oyster from a local pram shop earlier...Not keen on DD choice as it's more Golden Delicious/luminous yellow in daylight than green apple...And the shop will be getting Strawberry's in, she said September but i'll give the shop a call in August in case they arrive earlier.

Honeydragon · 13/06/2011 14:44

Suzie my Babboe was £500 used, this new obsession doesn't come cheap Grin

I like the Taga, but no good for storage or older children Sad and I lurve my canopy. here We went to the library today in it, once I get fitter and a motor fitted for big hills, I can see why they are classed as car replacements.

Suzie, if you want to join in I quite liked this one too but retro wood won me over.

suzie38 · 13/06/2011 14:54

They look great but i live in a hilly area and i don't do hills very well on bikes...I dread DD riding bikes because if she forgets her brakes, there might be a nasty accident...DH use to ride bikes competitevely so would appeal more to him, though possibly only if attached to a racing bike!!! Mind you he does ride Royal Mail bikes so could just sit DD in the basket at the front Wink

Honeydragon · 13/06/2011 14:57

I'm ridiculously cheered up by mine, as the only bike accident I've had resulted in flipping myself over the handlebars......at least with this one I'll end up in the box, not a rosebush!

suzie38 · 13/06/2011 15:28

Hee hee.

Guildfordnanny · 13/06/2011 18:00

I don't see the Taga going anywhere fast - it is hubby's toy. He is hoping to go for a good ride soon. Have tracked down a second seat in the US but I bet it costs a small fortune to ship. There is someone in Norwich who claims to have some to sell but it feels iffy. I could do with finding someone to go in person and check them out / get one for me! I haven't had chance to open the Pure yet! Hopefully in a min!

FriggFRIGG · 13/06/2011 18:53

Hmmmm,
okay,i want it....DD nearly killed DS in the duo today...they need seats father apart!!!!

now to find £60,ASAP!

do i do amazon credit???Confused

Someone kick me and remind me I do not need the sand city mini from JL.
I have no need for it. Even if it does look pretty!
I still have 3 buggies to sell on ebay. Perhaps ill get them listed tomorrow.
Im also tempted to sell my summit xc. Were just using the swift for everything. Love it so much. Went on the train today. Found train v crowded with muddy IOW festival peeps. Lots of muddy tents in doorways. The swift fitted neatly between. Was also light enough to bump up and down flights of steps. Was fab in town too, it was market day so v busy. The compactness of the swift was a real asset.
Did shopping this afternoon, managed loads of groceries in the basket. Walked home through the woods and brambles.

aswellasyou · 13/06/2011 19:06

Oh gosh I love that Johnny Loco!
Suzie, Saoirse wants to know about the Oyster air tyres. Are they much different to the normal tyres in terms of suspension, ease of push, etc.? Are they front and back wheels or just back wheels? And do you think they'll work alright in the snow?
