Suzie, Boots tend to do a code every month ish I'd say. The last one was 15% off when you spend £150 and finished early May.
Frigg, I think you need to accept that the Duet was actually made for you and it would be immoral of you not to buy it! Grin Sell everything!

suzie38 · 04/06/2011 23:21

Thanks for that info...I'll keep trying to remember to check everyday...I'm not in a hurry for a Swift anyway, plus it'll give me time to sell off 5 buggies.

aswellasyou · 05/06/2011 12:33

I often have them emailed to me so I'll let you know if I spot one. I'm selling more things on eBay to hopefully make up for some of the spending I'm doing on car seats and pushchairs!

Guildfordnanny · 06/06/2011 12:06

I need help lolol I am lusting after a pushchair that is too low for me and which I really don't need but I think it looks interesting. It's a four wheeled Zapp. But we sold the Zapp Xtra after the confounded adaptors cost £30 to replace and hubby tried to get me to sell our normal Zapp this weekend and I argued it may as well stay in a corner for now, so I don't have a hope!

Guildfordnanny · 06/06/2011 12:14

There's a cheap Kolcraft Contours here £161.99 with free shipping to the UK if you can get past the colours! discount-cabin.com/shop/index.php?manufacturers_id=790 The red is double the price. This site is addictive!

aswellasyou · 06/06/2011 12:55

What are you doing to me Guildford?! Luckily, I want it in red so it's not reeling me in too much. And I just bought a green Gecko on eBay! Grin I don't think I'd want another Zapp, they really are too low. I much prefer the look of the 4 wheeler though, but it's really expensive for what it is. I'm assuming it doesn't recline at all.

Guildfordnanny · 06/06/2011 14:17

Ok...I have bought myself one! I am intrigued as to why these pushchairs look good but are so cheap! I can't realistically see me keeping it long but you never know!

Guildfordnanny · 06/06/2011 14:22

I convinced hubby of the price on the US site and then bought it on EBay in red. Just don't tell hubby Wink. I used my EBay money from selling my BJCMD. I agree re the Zapp. I love the 4 wheel look - and I do like my pushchairs to have four wheels - but it's too low for me and too much money just to play with when practically it's not that good. I was hoping they would have one of the Britax / Steelcraft BJCM look alikes on the website which I saw at the weekend. I can't remember it's name.

MonkeysPunk · 06/06/2011 14:23

I like the look of the tangerine kolcraft contours! How big are the seats?

Guildfordnanny · 06/06/2011 14:44

Apparently they have been enlarged on the newer version which that one seems to be. No idea any more than that but I read someone had her three year olds in the seats. Leg room is restricted facing each other but other than that it seems like a good deal.

suzie38 · 06/06/2011 17:27

Darn...I'm wanting more buggies now off that site!!!

aswellasyou · 06/06/2011 17:33

Sneeky Guildford![wunk] I like your style. I think the new red seats look much nicer. I'm glad you're buying it so I can find out how good or bad it is without spending money.Grin When is it due to arrive?

aswellasyou · 06/06/2011 17:35

I've just thought, did you buy the one for £200? That belongs to someone on this board I think!

Guildfordnanny · 06/06/2011 19:45

No, I watched that auction go in the last few minutes but it was a long way from me. Lol aswellasyou [wunk] I don't see me doing much more than giving it a good trial and selling it on again (I have a house full of tandems) unless it's better than one of the others and long term has benefits (I am looking at the fact the seats are well spaced above the wheels, and it has a huge shopping basket, so could it rival the City Select? Unlikely but you never know!) At least you know you will get the honest truth from me! It should arrive at the end of the week. I have been granted the Mima Kobi for a bit longer which is fab as we are off to York this week and I think it's the perfect outing for it.

aswellasyou · 06/06/2011 20:01

I know we'll definitely get the truth from you. In my (possibly rose tinted) mind it is perfect in many respects except its weight and fold size. I'm interested to know how much smaller it could be with the wheels taken off to fold it. That is, if the wheels come off easily. I love that the children can both face either way, it's not ugly like a M&P Duette or similar, and the big basket as you say. i'm looking forward to your review.
Well done on the Mima Kobi! You wangled that nicely for your trip.

Guildfordnanny · 06/06/2011 20:19

Well I did ask specifically for the Mima specifically for the trip as I am sure a few photos of it in front of York Minster will look good ;) I ave to be honest I think I was a little mad buying the Contours but how else will I get to find out about it and it is intriguing me. It sounds large though. But I like the styling of the chassis. I would like to see it next to a Zoom. I am wondering if I can pick one up cheaply....I have to say I had a shock when I saw Bebecar Vector Duo because that is huge and old fashioned. Lol re getting the truth from me. It gets harder to say which tandem or double I would choose and why. Nothing is just perfect. The BJCS combined with the handling of the Peach or Mima Kobi would be perfect or the funky looks of the Twiner Twist Duo combined with the easy fold / easy pop off wheels of the Elite.

aswellasyou · 06/06/2011 20:27

Maybe you should make a perfect tandem.Wink I feel like the Contours and the Zoom are probably quite similar. I just prefer the look of the seats of the Contours.

FriggFRIGG · 06/06/2011 20:31

oooohhh! im glad you got the contours!! im dying to know what thats like!! Grin
look perfect,but i hear its,umm,rather large....

however the more i use the MB,the more i think the Duet really will be 'the one',the only faults on the MB seem to be the things the duet have corrected,(width, hoods, harness) except the RF thing, but, you cant have it all........can you Hmm

on another note,we have commenced toilet training, very unsuccessfully Brew

aswellasyou · 06/06/2011 20:31

The Zooms seem to start at £200 on eBay. This may go cheaper.

FriggFRIGG · 06/06/2011 20:32

ive seen a zoom,if the contours is the same size as that,i could put up with that i reckon for a week or two Grin

aswellasyou · 06/06/2011 20:33

I thought you meant toilet training Arlo for a minute! Shock

FriggFRIGG · 06/06/2011 20:44

FriggFRIGG · 06/06/2011 20:45

OP posts:
aswellasyou · 06/06/2011 21:11

I'm collecting it. Probably Wednesday afternoon. Grin I'm excited!
I don't know when these things happen so, for a split second, I thought Imara must be really behind in the toilet department!

FriggFRIGG · 06/06/2011 21:16

Skye is 2.9...you've got a while yet Grin
