The Elite looks good as i've discounted the BJCM because the handle is way too high for me...GN does the Elite handle go quite low??? Thinking it'd be a great snow buggy that would take up less storage space than the bulky Vigour 3 plus folds up easily if we needed to do it on the bus and it has cool accessories like the snack tray...Yes i never considered iCandys before but am coveting a Strawberry big time, DD you will be staying in a buggy until you're 5!!! Wow on the bras aswell Mind you don't think anyone would be interested in mine...I sold £25 worth of baby clothes this weekend, though the Peke Moe went for nearly £18, so only 7 items in total...2 weekends ago i sold 17 items...And now i'm getting charged for relisting Sad I've got 42 listed at the moment...Need to list red Vigour 4+, Maclaren Super Dreamer and my Brio Go to boost my Paypal account i think. And other 2 Vigours to buy an Elite

FriggFRIGG · 30/05/2011 10:19

oooh suzie, how much did you want for the superdreamer?...i mightbe interested....Grin

The handle on the Elite goes down very low but I don't know how many low notches there are in between that and my height. I will look later for you.

suzie38 · 30/05/2011 10:28

Well i bought it brand new, with labels and wheels had not touched the floor ie pristine white, from a Banardos childrens shop...Cost me £90 and as i have/had so many buggies it's been used less than 20 times, maybe only 10 so it's in excellent condition...It comes with the huge hood and apron that poppers on...Though there's possibly a see through rain cover on eBay for £15 that slots into the frame, like my Mothercare Olympus i got last week...The push on the Super Dreamer is superior to the Olympus i have to say...Pretty on par with Bugaboos...Anyway i was hoping for £40 but realise as it is vintage i may have to drop my price.

suzie38 · 30/05/2011 10:39

GN...I managed to find a great video on Youtube about the Elite, with a tiny lady who demonstrated how low the handle can go...Do you have any knowledge of this company www.pushchairs.co.uk/acatalog/city_elite_stone.html
As they're selling at a good price.

FriggFRIGG · 30/05/2011 10:41

I'll have to try later as said buggy is at the in laws until i take the old Citisport over but DH says they definetly haven't taken DD for a walk in it whereas my mum would be out walking in all weathers...Only pictures i've got are proper photos and i need to scan them...Last time i tried it'd only save to my memory card, not my laptop Grrr

Guildfordnanny · 30/05/2011 11:00

I can't see the video at the min coz am
On my phone but it did go vertically down. I just don't know where it clicks into place. It's certainly the tallest handle I have ever seen! Sorry but I don't know that company so am not much help. Still in bed...I think it's time to get the children up and give them brekkie! We work in a different time zone here (3am bedtime for me last night) and am dreading the nursery routine kicking in!

PMed you FriggFRIGG

FriggFRIGG · 30/05/2011 11:31

thanks suzie!

hows the swift getting on in devon monkeyspunk ?

Guildfordnanny · 30/05/2011 11:57

Wow lots of typing Saoirse! Thank you muchly! The comfort pack os the seat pad but also the harness and clips so you need both. I wonder if you can just order a single toddler Kobi? I will ask. You get the big wheel guards in the second seat box, but mine vibrated terribly (it's apparently been an issue in Europe) so I have let the distributors know and swapped mine for the small ones as the baby can't get anywhere near. The Xari has two storage baskets instead on the one. Cheeky Rascals, the distributors have a good website with both plus photos on. I got my photos on BB last night but am missing a two carrycot one (well I took one but forgot to move the upper carrycot up the frame and wondered why it looked daft! Doh!) so will retake one when the rain stops. Will get the ones with the children in up next. Am off to find the Elite Youtube video now whilst baby feeding.

aswellasyou · 30/05/2011 12:13

Toys, I don't like the BJCM either but don't tell any of these lot! I used to not like Bugaboos, but then I saw how cheap Froga can be second hand and I changed my mind. I think it's actually that I don't really like the look of the Bee and the seat's too low down for my liking. I prefer the black chassis but I couldn't afford one.
Frigg, you never know, they might like them. Hot Milk bras are pretty expensive. I missed your comment about my dance! Grin Imara didn't seem too impressed with my singing or dancing. Stupid baby. What does she know anyway?

FriggFRIGG · 30/05/2011 12:20

Grin Arlo always appreciates a silly dance,so you can come do one for him...he is excited by a glance in his direction so a dance creates fits of giggles poor kid

the trials and tribulations of a 2nd child,he'll write a book about it,i bet....

Lol Aswellasyou. We will agree to disagree ;) I have been YouTubing the Elite. I can't find one video that properly shows the height coz it goes vertically to the floor and vertically into the air too. But I would love one. The wheels are like the City Select ones. Hubby has just come back from shopping and says the Babyzen is growing on him which is just as well coz I love it and it was staying anyway! I would love a Swift review as well :)

FriggFRIGG · 30/05/2011 12:25

guild... shes normally pretty good Smile

OP posts:
aswellasyou · 30/05/2011 12:26

Oh poor Arlo! Imara's usually excited by a glance too. Maybe while I was dancing, she was thinking "please don't do this to me in public Mummy". She'll be sorry!
I'm still looking at a Frog now that I made so much money! I was expecting to get about £150. My Mum said to me a few days ago "you might even get £200". I told her she was wrong! I really shouldn't think like that seen as I've only made enough to my the Duologic but I can't help it.

aswellasyou · 30/05/2011 12:29

How did buy become my? Hmm

FriggFRIGG · 30/05/2011 12:30

handle height is : 34 inches to 46 inches she says Grin

OP posts:
suzie38 · 30/05/2011 14:19

This is the one i watched this morning.

Guildfordnanny · 30/05/2011 14:59

Thanks...I saw both of those. The Baby Gizmo ones are always good but she doesn't click through the settings and I think there is only one between floor facing and horizontal. The second one dissent go right to the floor but she stops at a lower setting than horizontal! Will have a look at mine in a min as I have just sold one pushchair already so need to box it and all the bits up! I forgot to put my double BJCM on...need to do that now!

Guildfordnanny · 30/05/2011 20:59

OK I checked earlier. The handle goes vertically to the floor. There are then two more notches before it reaches horizontal. So 4 height settings to that point and then it goes upwards to vertical. So I guess it would be pretty good for people of short stature!

suzie38 · 30/05/2011 21:11

Cool, thanks for that...Think it'll make a great snow buggy if needed...Saw that a MB has a similar handle but i do like the look of the Elite more especially as i love storage...Found a seller for £299 with no postage but will need to buy a raincover seperately and i also want a snack tray but most places seem to be out of stock at the moment.

MonkeysPunk · 31/05/2011 10:38

Were back from Devon already, only went for the weekend. It was an action packed weekend and the Breeze ( sorry did I say swift earlier? ) did us proud. I don't think a bigger all terrain would've fitted into some of the deep and narrow pathways between the dunes.
The breeze whizzed along all but the deepest sand, and the snuggle bag was excellent for the wind and rain. The snuggle bag looks so small off the buggy but mysteriously easily accommodates my sitting 3y old easily!
I need to get dressed at some point this morning and take it into the garden to. hose down incase of salt residue from the beach.
We think its the perfect buggy for seaside holidays as its good for beach and country walks, yet small enough for tiny seaside village pathways which are heaving with tourists and also its small enough to get into overstocked busy gift shops... not something you'd want to try with the BJ summit!

MonkeysPunk · 31/05/2011 10:49

Absolutely won't be selling the breeze now. I can't believe I'd considered selling it recently.
I also found a new silver mb snuggle bag on ebay yesterday, so bought it. They're really useful whatever the weather.
I also like that the breeze won't tip even when I hang my skip hop via bag off the handlebar even when its packed with a days supplies and my camera!
The kids like that the handlebar goes low enough they can have a push.
I think its everything I liked about the landrover buggy but better, as its sturdier, better build quality, and has nicer hood, useful recline, and better fitting better quality harness.
