Arrgghh now I really want an iCandy Strawberry! It's beautiful with lovely soft fabrics and the Punnet storage is genius! Huge basket, easier to push than the single Peach, big seat etc. Fab! I have a birthday coming up ;)

FriggFRIGG · 26/05/2011 20:07

ooooh,any pictures? or links....Smile

my 2010 pre p&t take over MB is arriving monday/tuesday,im excited...
but saddened by the lack of reviews to scour,i normally know the buggy inside out by the time it arrives,
i havent even a clue how to fold this one,or put it together Confused

Yes iCandy kindly let me take lots of photos, one even with my tall two and a half year old in and she had tons of room. I need to finish feeding the baby (that's why I end up online so much!) and then sort and upload them. I got photos of the Peach Special Edition too which is very pretty. I don't really like prints but it was subtle and nicely done.

FriggFRIGG · 26/05/2011 20:13

OOOoooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, let me know when there up Grin

I will do, and you know where to go and write sone reviews for future buyers ;) All reviews welcome.

aswellasyou · 26/05/2011 20:31

The Strawberry looks lovely! Here's some pictures to tide you over Frigg! When's it going to be instore so I can play with it? It's a shame they don't do the seat from birth. I like pushchairs seats to turn into carrycots without a seperate unit.
I'm sad I don't have a new pushchair coming. I'm on the verge of buying a £300 Shock car seat so I'm putting the Frog on the back burner unless I find it really, really cheap.

FriggFRIGG · 26/05/2011 20:36

ooh,i might do the micralite too,im a little bit in love with itGrin

I could review the Donkey, as most of my purchases aren't always mainstream...Liking the sound of the Strawberry but i bet the price isn't so great...Maybe i should put off the Fusio and get a Strawberry instead as my face both ways, fold in one piece buggy...Wonder if it would handle any potential snow??? I've just spent nearly £200 on a Maxi Cosi Opal as i never liked the Britax First Class (must clean it up to sell on)...But it was out of Paypal earnings so didn't feel like i was spending money, Vista more than covered it!!!

Guildfordnanny · 26/05/2011 20:45

The Strawberry..hmm £500 and something....still feeding baby with one hand so I can't look it up...I don't think the photos do it justice. The red is a gorgeous shade. The hood fabric is a lovely soft fleece. The handle is slimmer than the Peach and fits my hand well. The fold, with the seat on in either forward or rear facing is very cool, IF you can do it! I finally managed it after about six attempts and two lessons! Lets say its a knack! No worse than the Chameleon which I had to plead hubby to rescue me on our first outing because I couldnt work it out lol The basket folds up or down. Very very lovely!

suzie38 · 26/05/2011 20:56

Is the suspension pretty springy??? Thinking a great replacement for my Brio Go who's suspension feels like a Silver Cross pram...Also does it come with carrycot as standard??? The Vista had a knack at folding...Luckily i've never struggled with a Bugaboo...And looking at the specifications the handle goes fairly low, which i love.

saoirse86 · 26/05/2011 21:09

I know aswell's looking at those extended rear facing seats. Even though her DD's teeny weeny still even at 8+ months, she doesn't have a car (or a licence for that matter) and will be in liverpool for most of next year! Love, why are you buying it now again? Confused

I want so many pushchairs because of you lot. Unfortunately I have nothing to sell that will make enough money for any of these. Sad

Guildfordnanny · 26/05/2011 21:10

Hmm I can't answer the suspension question but it's an iCandy so it should be pretty good. It felt similar to the Peach if that helps. It's not bouncy though... The carrycot is extra but gorgeous with fleece fabrics. Will upload photos tonight :)

aswellasyou · 26/05/2011 21:10

Shock at the cost of the Strawberry! Maybe a second hand one for baby no. 2. Grin
Guildford, I'm feeding while doing links. Wink
Frigg this is the car seat. It's rear facing to 4 years so much, much safer than forward facing. Most rear facing seats are massive but this is quite small. Best of all, you can remove the infant carrier section and it has wheels and a telescopic handle so you can wheel the baby round in it like this. Grin I will never do this I bet. Actually, I will but only for a laugh!

Guildfordnanny · 26/05/2011 21:14

Hubbys first question was which pushchairs are going then?? He's trying to make me sell my much wanted Babyzen because he kicks the brakes when he walks! I haven't even given it a proper test drive yet but the bit I did was fine! No way is it going!!!

aswellasyou · 26/05/2011 21:15

Shush Saoirse! It's from birth and I need one that'll go in everyone's car. Just don't tell Mum or Dad how expensive it is! My eBay selling has topped £100 now so it's like it's onlyHmm £200.

FriggFRIGG · 26/05/2011 21:19

aswell, those are FAB and IF i had a car,i would have one for DD,but can i just point you towards these
its what i have for DD and Arlo will have one too,at 12 months when he moves from his current rearfacer, they are brilliant,i watched a lot of crash tests (dont do this unless you have a strong stomach) and they are nearly as affective, and if like me,you arent driving all the time, are great for taking in and out of different cars as you cant get the fitting wrong (which is the most important part of carseats) and dont have lots of fiddly bits to do up,and DD loves hers Grin

or,of course, you could completely ignore me,as you are perfectly entitled to do Grin

OP posts:
aswellasyou · 26/05/2011 21:33

I was going to get one of those too. Blush We found them really cheap nearby (Guardian £129, Comfort £119, Infinity £89) so I was planning on having the Comfort as the seat that I can move easily and will fit in pretty much anyone's car. Is it really bad that I'm going to spend £420 on car seats?!

aswellasyou · 26/05/2011 21:35

I did watch a lot of crash tests. That's why I'm buying these instead of the normal ones. I don't think I could get a normal one now to be honest.

FriggFRIGG · 26/05/2011 21:39

i know Shock
i had a really shit one when i watched them to,i banned her from all car journeys until the new one was delivered.

i do think it might be a bit much aswella,if you dont even own a car ... Grin

but,as i said,ignore me,if you want...im only words on a screen Grin

OP posts:
aswellasyou · 26/05/2011 21:47

The thing is I can sell the Kiddy for a decent amount if I decide I don't need it and I'm always in and out of Saoirse's and our Mum's car so I have two seats at the moment and I can't stop myself. Grin You can shush too!

FriggFRIGG · 26/05/2011 22:14

ohh well in that case,it's totally justifiable Grin

OP posts:
aswellasyou · 26/05/2011 23:28

And my eBay items are up to nearly £130 now so I'm practically getting the Kiddy seat for free already. Grin
I've been so excited by this eBay selling lark-I've never done it before-that I'll probably sell everything I own soon and buy Guildford's Mima Kobi!
