Dunoon · 10/12/2010 15:15

Oh basl how very touching. I do think we get messages sometimes but apart from comforting you not sure what it could mean.
I am in a turmoil atm and feeling low again. Due to return to docs on tuesday so will maybe see about upping my dose of ads. Christmas is such an emotional time of year and I too am wondering what shape my family will be next time.
I have had a classic briefly and wasn't keen but of course you are right basl it would be a better size for DD....although she doesn't lie down in pushchair often.

horsemadgal · 10/12/2010 15:19

Oh loving the PO story maxy, well done you. It's the women we need to watch out for round here. Shock

Spooky re the angel basl.

Kids are feeling a bit better here today thankfully. Went out a walk with them as stir-crazy. There is the start of a thaw going on and the roads are all ice, slush and compacted snow. BOB made it though phew!

basl · 10/12/2010 15:21

Thankyou for sharing that Dunoon and thankyou for coming back on to mums net i did miss you chatting. Well you know me i am here always and would not be without my friends here. It's bloody awful at any time but yeah this is a rather trying time.

Oh sure you can't get yourself up to scotland for the 18th??? I am having a spooky night for my birthday. Must stop calling it that they are going to think i am so disrespectful these tarrot reading folk Xmas Grin

Dunoon thanks again and lets get through this together.

Keep looking at this UB and i think i am a pram snob. But it is staying i tell you !!!!

maxybrown · 10/12/2010 15:25

Grin basl

Dunoon · 10/12/2010 15:25

Oh and maxy loved the PO story.
Thank you basl. How I would love to be up in scotland again soon and would like a reading but of course will be very busy with christmas etc. When I come up again I will see you for a drink definitely.
What colour your UD?

maxybrown · 10/12/2010 15:28

Yeah I want to come up too!

I bet it's black Dunoon.......

basl · 10/12/2010 15:32

I thought it was black but it's kind of dark grey almost like the MB black dots?? It is very clean and to be honest it's perfect for my needs. My neighbours must of thought "oh aye the only bloody parcel force van to show up in weeks and it's that nutter with another pram" I was testing it going in and out the house without daniel Xmas Blush

It is very light and lots of storage but i hate the sort of big plastic bit that says PUSH HERE TO FOLD!!! Yuck but i am going to ignore that. Wheels lovely and chunky and nice big seat but very odd little hood thing at the back. Ohhhhhhh my classic ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

OP posts:
Dunoon · 10/12/2010 15:36

Xmas Grin basl
And oh dear. The pram dilema again.

horsemadgal · 10/12/2010 15:39

LOL basl, do some piccies please.

basl · 10/12/2010 15:46

No only kidding it will be great for what i need it for and thats this bad weather. Then i was more than happy with my baby jogger city mini. Which i still have i mad add. So i will let this get me through the winter and then just use the city mini as and when.

Give you a wee laugh. If you look at my face book then look at my friends you will see k turner. Look at his profile pic What a [fin] plonker. He had his photo taken with some blonde big busted sort in a pub called hooters on holiday and he has that up as his profile pic. The cheeky sod.

Ok i am off out to see if i can find a David beckham looky likey to put up as my profile.

Ah My nephew bringing his girlfriend over to my house tonight. I think i will do a similar pose and stuff some socks up my tshirt and see if anyone makes the connection. hee heeee

maxybrown · 10/12/2010 16:21

Nah nah nah nah you don't want your classic Xmas Grin

oh you make me smile

basl · 10/12/2010 16:29

Camera died on me so i will wait on Daniel returning form Mary Poppins aka my sister. My mum just called to say she popped in and he sat like little angel eating his soup like he had been starved and then all his pudding. Then she did a little music session with him and he played the mouth organ.

hmmm a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down Xmas Hmm

Ohhhhh he loves it a Auntie julies mother harped on Xmas Grin

OP posts:
maxybrown · 10/12/2010 16:31

carrielou2007 · 10/12/2010 16:46

Hellooooooooooooooo Xmas Grin just reading back Xmas Grin

5ElvesMooningSanta · 10/12/2010 17:27

Just back from school christmas fete. Kids won loads of crap Xmas Hmm

I am ill, think I have the flu. Woke up this morning with a raging temperature and it made me throw up it was so high. Nearly collapsed so made DH take the day off work to look after me. He took kids to school and I went back to bed. Was absolutely boiling so had window wide open. Woke up a few hours later freezing cold. Feling slightly better now I've doped myself up, still finding it hard to breathe though.

All the snow is melting here, absolute bugger to push any pram in. DH cursed all the way home from school as he was pushing.

carrielou2007 · 10/12/2010 17:33

Dc's dad just turned up, he has seen his dc for 4 mins before going again Hmm

glad you like ud basl, I loved mine and sl glad it fits through the door (where are all my capitals at start of each sentence??)

nicolamumof3 · 10/12/2010 18:44

my darling basl im going to email you. You comforted me so much this week with your kind words when i needed them most. thank you. I am going to email you too!

You know exactly who that angel was don't you, always watching.

i've been out since 1.30pm went to see my little donkey in his xmas play bless him, then straight onto nursery collect luka, on to swimming had tea at the pool felt hot and sick in there. I find it so stressful. Luka says he needs a poo then doesn't so im backwards forwards to the loo, worried tates lesson will end and mummy won't be standing by showers for him. Then luka poo's his bloody pants. I've had it with this boy and pooey pants i can tell you Xmas Angry

finally left swimming at 6pm walked tom round to dancing and back home collapsed. Fortunately his dad is collecting him from dance. Whilst terry at work i've not been able to use his cc for boden order, now my coat has sold out Sad

anyway sorry for epic post.

Dunoon i hope you're ok? you know where i am if you ever need a chat. Its good to talk as they say.

5in hope you are feeling better? Bet you're glad xmas fair out of way, seems popular this year to hold them after school? We have ours tomorrow postponed from last week's snow. But will only have tate as luka has party so will be manageable.

Dunoon · 10/12/2010 20:10

Thank you Nicola. Am actually feeling quite desperate atm and really don't know why unless it's just hey 'life'. Must get out tomorrow on my own. Am sat on sofa with DDs making a mess all around, don't want to deal with their bedtime or mess and of course feel so crap and lazy.
I know that feeling of collapsing after trotting up and down the road so many times and I don't have poo pants to deal with or am pregnant. But did used to feel queasy when taking DD to swimming whilst PG.
Illnesses going around all right. Hope everyone gets better soon.
Maxy are you feeling better now?

maxybrown · 10/12/2010 20:16

Hi, yes am ok now thanks Dunoon - having few sinusy problems (something I suffer with anyway) but still on AB so hopefully keep it all at bay - atm I feel liek pulling all my top teeth out so know my sinus' are being problamatic!

Dunoon I can also sympathise with what you say about dealing with mess etc. I have said to DH that i wondered if James would ever go to bed if i never did anything about it Hmm

And lots more things.......but I know he isn't being horrible, just bloody blind - a lot of his parents coming out there me thinks!

nicolamumof3 · 10/12/2010 20:42

oh i sympathise. i was sor tired earlier could have left the boys up all night. But they are in bed now. Tommy is good he's quietly watching corrie with me. Then he'll go to bed in half an hour or so. Im having an early night, forgot my seabands last night and im struggling to drink enough atm so quiet dehydrated. tossed and turned all night feeling awful.

basl · 10/12/2010 23:08

Evening my lovely ladies just been out for an unexpected shopping trip for last min christmas presents. I love me who do you love came home and suggested we ask my mum to look after kids while we have the chance. He is working constant and never home just now so just jumped at the chance. I got loads done and managed to shop for my sister too and my Auntie. So success.

Daniel had a fantastic time as usual at my sisters and came home with the most gorgeous tree decoration with a picture of him on it. Xmas Shock my sister said he loved doing it and was keen to do it all hiself "me to do it me" She also commented that her husband adores him and always gets up from the night shift to come down and give him a cuddle. My brother n law is lovely but he doesn't like kids much that are not his own Xmas Grin can't hide it either.
Well daniel is very welcome there and i have to say at last people are realising he is not a total nightmare all the time just wnen tired. He has come on so much with his little personality. Remember i was at my witsend.

Maxy i ofter wonder what i must be like for James as he is obviously a very bright lad and he must get sooooo frustrated trying to express himself.

Nicola thankyou and think we all take it in turns eh? Really lovely to know i have you all.

OP posts:
maxybrown · 10/12/2010 23:56

Ah that's good basl

I love me who do you love......snigger

Oh that's nice about Daniel Smile

Yes does get frustrating for James - am noticing his frustration more as he gets older and he tried so so hard at speech therapy the other day but found it hard, then he just tries to hurry the SALT along when it's a bit much Xmas Grin

I noticed last week that i just couldn't understand him at all when I was ill Xmas Hmm

basl · 11/12/2010 00:02

I think you underestimate how much it must drain you on every level. I know how much daniel gets so upset if i don't just get it there and then. You must have that constant as james is so on the ball and obviously wants to tell you everything.

I play back that pudsay bear lots and it never fails to make me smile.

Oh and re the classic. I have a lovely pull down ladder to access the attic. So when send it now are ok to go it's all yours. I think it's a cracker and i hate my front door.

All folded cleaned and ready to go but the guy told me today that there will be no more pic ups till after christmas.

OP posts:
maxybrown · 11/12/2010 00:12

Yeah Darren came today (my courier send it now man hee hee) to drop something off for Matthew (actually a present for me ooh!) and he said no more pick ups. NOt sure what to do as meant to be sending my Christmas presents to devon next week via courier - maybe have to try booking p4d instead? Damn the snow! Though what came today, Matthew only bought th other day so some pick ups going on obviously? weird!

Yes it is draining Basl and sometimes I want to shout at him Blush he is now saying, "no Mummy, grrrr" in his best angry voice, shakes a fist and walks off or collapses in a heap when I don't get what he means. He is using a LOT of hand signals at the minute and they are getting a bit blendy and I miss some.

He retains other info like a sponge so odd sometimes when the words won't stay!

maxybrown · 11/12/2010 00:20

oh just checked website and it's only Scotland not accepting collections fomr - no idea what Darren was going on about then Confused

The P4D man always asks me if I have a business in pushchairs Blush
