Oh 5in - how crappy. It is so frustrating - I'd go with Basls idea about Christmas cards. We used to do that at the school in Plymouth, big team staff and used to all pop money into lifeboats box instead of sending millions of cards amongst us all. I'd forgotten about that - thanks Basl Smile

Hope you are ok though 5in. Have a bear - [fbear]

We were all incredibly ill James' first Christmas too and were at emergency docs on Boxing Day with James. I remember we couldn't even eat any of our nice food or even get dressed. yak.

We just got back from vets - all well with the Casper anyway! Will be able to go out mid January, yay!

nicolamumof3 · 15/12/2010 18:59

im ok, just a bit of a trying afternoon. First walk out at 12.40 to nursery return home for half an hour, then walk again to church for nativity, where luka really hated it. Was the only one not dressed up (refused) just hates anyone looking at him, making a fuss etc, just wanted to hide away bless him. So so different to the other two.

anyway he wouldn't go back into nursery so i had to walk with him then back to church collect pushchair walk home, again another half an hour pit stop (its all the coats/hat's/scarves/boots on/off rigmarole, and careful not to get wet footprints on floor etc.

walk to school, Tate crying way home that his daddy not there and hasn't seem him all week. Get in another bloody half hour pitstop, leave at 4.15pm in the dark, rain all togged up again. Standing in porch trying to maneovre pushchair out when tate pushes luka off step straight onto wet cold driveway flat on face Angry cue lots of screaming, shouting, and crying.

get to TKD collapse!! Notice that luka not at all right feels warm, asks to go to the toilet (he's doing so well day three no poo's in pants) has upset tummy and starts to look v.lethargic Sad. Leave tkd hard rain, its yuck. Get to mcd's luka asleep burning up. We eat our food as he's now sleeping get home...what a bloody relief tidy round, run bath, get pj's out. Then luka wakes fortunately no more tears. Medised him up, into pj's wee and bed. Phew!!!

Thats my afternoon/evening DONE. I still need to bath tate and get him into bed. Am exhausted. My earlier post was sent from tkd on my iphone. Sorry for rant!!

BUT do get home to a parcel from uniqlo and my down coat. Feels very thin/light but think it will be ok. Cannot be bothered to try on upstairs and look in mirror!! Shame its black they didn't have brown in my size.

maxybrown · 15/12/2010 19:05

ah Nic, full sympathies - I know I only have one child Blush but still sympathise. Can't imagine james ever dressing up, he is not shy but will NOT dress up.

James is HIGH as a kite, just waiting for our dinner to cook then try and slong him in bed as soon as we can.

maxybrown · 15/12/2010 19:08

sling him even, but sling sounds quite good too Xmas Grin

nicolamumof3 · 15/12/2010 19:50
Xmas Grin

bloody fil rings just as got tate out of bath, he's shivering away whilst i got bloody fil waffling on about crap. I put the phone down on him. Only answered as the bedroom door was open and didn't want it waking tate.

Ring him back...grrr he only wants to speak to Terry...GRRRRRRR.

maxybrown · 15/12/2010 20:11

oh bloody bloody inlaws Nic Xmas Grin

nicolamumof3 · 15/12/2010 20:21

yep, plus everything i want to buy sold out so can't even have a bit of retail therapy to cheer me up!!

hows james now?

maxybrown · 15/12/2010 20:52

lol, oh god no!!!!

He's OK I said that in caps as you know! Bit calmer - better today as we've been out but he is finding the speech therapy a hard slog. He is so so good 99% of the time and even round shops but it's me I think atm, I just can't focus on anything and if he starts then I'm thrown and can't get my brain in gear - tis awful.

He's just having his milk then into bed, so never ended up being early Angry

My missing parcels came today so that cheered me up a little. Got Boden star coat in 3/4 bit not sure what to do. It is er roomy shall we say but the 2/3 doesn't leave much room for jumpers - he is inbetween 2/3 and 3/4 at the minute Xmas Grin

nicolamumof3 · 15/12/2010 21:04

just keep the 3/4 for next year. Tate loves his star coat as its light he dislikes his big duffer one but i love it as its great is snow..warmer. He also has a gap down one and a duffle that he's not even had on yet Blush im looking for outfits for luka no success. So so bored but if i go to bed now i won't sleep again, was awake from 4ish.

maxybrown · 15/12/2010 21:26

Hmmmm.

I love the Gap ones for the down filled part but not keen on the styles really, then just got lighter fluffy things Grin oh and snowsuit

Nothing in next? I want a Grandad shirt for James in white but can't find one.

nicolamumof3 · 15/12/2010 21:31

i haven't been to next since i took dungies back a week ago. Will see if dh up for going to shops tomorrow Shock bless him on his day off.

maxybrown · 15/12/2010 21:34

where can I try for a shirt?

nicolamumof3 · 15/12/2010 21:48

i've got one actually Blush but its only small. luka may have to wear it xmas at this rate!

next usually do the grandad styles..i've checked the following today for xmas outfits...m&s, debenhams, john lewis, gap, next, jojo, tesco, asda!

maxybrown · 15/12/2010 21:53

none in Next, always had them from vertbaudet before - damn it!

Heck. Asos?

mummyistheword · 15/12/2010 22:27

Crikey nicolamum that sounds a horror of a day....Are you sitting down now....lying down.....at least drinking oval tine? That's my cure all for everything, or tea....sadly no wine due to bfeeding ....trying to drop a feed as we are weaning now but she likes the boooobs, got nipped yesterday tho, I screamed! She has two teeth since age only 17 weeks, now 22 and I think getting more...arrrrgh!
I always have a quick read of thread and even if am too knackered to post it makes me smile! Just thought I'd say that....dd2 goes to bed better and better but still wakes for a feed or a cuddle then ready for day 6am! Dd1 doesn't wake till 7am but so good at going to bed so no worries there but it's the most exhausting thing ever being a mummy! Relentless...I think the way through is to accept it will never all be tidy, there will always be endless washing, the ironing pile is only ever beaten down for half a day, the dinner will never ever cook itself and cbeebies will get stuck on your Telly forever.
I still dislike the buzz. I am hankering after a p and t dash, seen new for 350 with doubles seat, main seat adjustment looks better than on sport?? Any one know? Looks comfy....dd2 squishy squashed in her buzz, warm though. I want desire, need? Wish for a bjcm for quick trips, think need the p and t for pre sch run after Xmas for dd1, she's only just 3 on 27th and worried it will all be too much for her walking ther n back in freezing north east wind and snow. Got a tax rebate today!! Yay, not much but enough towards new buggy if sell buzz. But it's listed for second time online auction site so hopefully someone buys it, reckon not as nearly Christmas! Will keep all posted, I'm sure you will be desperate to know outcome! Ha ha!
Shop well. Stay warm and keep calm, taught dd1 to count 10 when she's cross, does it through gritted teeth, hilarious but makes her forget whatever she was getting rage about and we calm and carry on.

nicolamumof3 · 15/12/2010 22:45

Thanks mummy! wow some post lol!

i always liked the sound of the dash, didn't know they still did it?

i used p&t til my ds2 was 3yr2m then he was introduced to buggyboard!! i loved my p&t have an 18m gap between my two youngest. They are now almost 5 (eek! in two weeks!!) and 3.5yr...wow how did that happen!! Writing it down makes me realise my boys are really grown up Shock

mummyistheword · 15/12/2010 23:14

Yes totally mammoth post, seen the dash on precious little one website, assume good buy, they a good make after all so various models must just have diff selling points, the new explorer is out my budget but regardless the age dd1 it's prob a way better seat for dd2 than size wise on buzz.....really knew this before but got swayed by looks of buzz! Pushchair tart that I am. Reckon dd1 would be very good girl using buggy board but quite bumpy paths to presch and lots kerbs so might be annoying with her weight on board.....basically just want the p and t, second seat luggage space also, I cannot and will not travel light. I've tried, I can't do it! I admit defeat! Night ladies. X

horsemadgal · 16/12/2010 08:26

EEK snowing heavy again here. Xmas Hmm

maxybrown · 16/12/2010 09:18

ooh was thinking about you all up there!

REally heavy rain here and blowing a gale, really dark too.

Should go and have a clothes cull again me thinks..........gah

nicolamumof3 · 16/12/2010 09:38

Get the dash they do look lovely!

Oh no hmg it's very dark here just waiting for downpour to start. Off to tates Carol service at the church in a minute

horsemadgal · 16/12/2010 11:05

Snow off now and sun shining, hope snow stays away.
Made it walking to school and in car to my friends and Tesco's. Main roads are fine yay!

basl · 16/12/2010 12:40

Well its like dancing on ice here. It is hilariousness in a sort of if i don't laugh i will cry. Can't walk anywhere without skidding.

Well i have just been up the town and i have been on a mission. Arrrrrrrrrrghhh for you Nicola and Maxy. Saw the coolest little get up for xmas for your luka in M&S and my heat was having palpations i was thinking special delivery oh oh and no size left. Same in Debenhams and even M&Co. Then i saw a white grandad shirt in M&Co and looked lovely quality as well but only big boys. Sorry ladies i try and going again tomorrow but to diff town so i will keep looking.

Nicola the M&S had a little waistcoat and it was sort of dark purple but very smart indeed.

Did however get my little Gorgeous girl her christmas party outfit. I lOVE litte girls clothes and she will look gorgeous. She is not your big puffy sparkly little girl and loved this little dress we saw which i could only describe as a sort of chanel box style dress with very soft sparkle on it. Gorgeous little patent pumps from next with bit of bling on and snazzy tights.
Daniel was very tired as kenny took them both to his works christmas doo which was the ceramic experience where they both painted two things each then soft play but it was late for Daniel and i was at work.

Olivia keeps winking at me and saying she can't tell me anything about what she made. So i am guessing it's a birthday prezzie. Little lamb she wanted to buy me one of those grey bear things from me to you but kenny said no as he knew she could pick something at this night out.

Well i have fingers crossed everyone can still make my spooky night. Went to the venue yesterday and it looks fab.

Hope you have a better day today nicolaXmas Smile that did sound like one hell of a day and it actually gave me a funny feeling and reminded me how it was when i had to walk back and forward to nursery and all the crying and shoes on and off etc. It is sooo hard and your doing amazing you truly are. Just hang in there but try and take some of your own very good advice. ASK somone to help? Is there not a mum or dad that can take a turn of taking tom to tae kwon whats it? Or swimming or even a school run?? I found i did not want to ask incase someone thought i couln't cope but you do find most folk are more than happy especially if they have a car.

MUMMY i love your mamoth posts they always make me feel much better. I love a gal that likes to talk Xmas Grin
