sal1309 · 03/08/2010 20:33

hi basl

yes been to tots then came home had my mate round with her girls and another friends boys while she went to the hospital. They all had lunch and tea here lol

ww went really well actually as i havent been in 4 weeks and expected to have put all my weight back on but ive only put 1 lb so really chuffed. so being carefull this week but with us going away at weekened i dont expect a miracle lol.

I prefer ww to slimming world but thats just personal preference. How you getting on at sw

basl · 03/08/2010 20:36

I used to be good at it and have lost a fair bit in the past but i just can't get into it this time.

I wonder if i need the strictness of counting points. Are you strict and count points properly

GeekOfTheWeek · 03/08/2010 20:39

He is better than i expected. He was initially on the ward i worked as a nurse so have had access to records and results etc thanks to old colleagues. Just been transferred to coronary care unit so in the best place. V lucky he went in tbh.

Dh really upset and frightened. The poor love has been up since 3am so trying to send him to bed now.

nic, i really like your new nipper! I feel as though i am being drawn to them

GeekOfTheWeek · 03/08/2010 20:44

basl, i prefer ww so i can save up points all week and binge at the weekends Plus i can use all my points allowance on wine and cake if i desire and i usually do!

basl · 03/08/2010 21:05

Geek thats good then that you have had a once over on the notes, Clever girl Your poor dh has had a fairly trying time of late.

I think you would love the nipper Geek, I did but my rather long giant boy did not fit well in for some reason still can't work that one out really as Olivia still could manage a ride in one but daniel looked so cramped. as i absolutely loved the retro green one and with my hoopla liner it would have been great. Very light indeed.

nicolamumof3 · 03/08/2010 21:11

oh geek your poor dh its upsetting seeing them like that isn't it?

as for nipper go for it i'd like a retro too. nice touch.wheels wouldn't rust either arne't they plastic spokes? Its just the lightness for me. As im into my strollers im just used to light buggies.

basl · 03/08/2010 21:26

The wheels did not look too bad but remember the trouble i had with trying to get air in them and was told it was a know problem. Such a shame.

sal1309 · 03/08/2010 21:29

basl im fairly good at keeping to my points when doing it properly lol.

Geek big hugs to you and your dh, is he in wythenshaw? Hope he recovers well. I can understand your dh's reaction I can still remember my dad having his first heart attack it was awful xx

evening nicola

nicolamumof3 · 03/08/2010 21:29

oh really? i never have had trouble with my nippers filling tyres? Some times would just be nice to be happy with a mc jive or old crappy triumph and thats it eh?

Got my boden preview order today! lovely baggies and knitted cardi's bring on the autumn.

basl · 03/08/2010 21:34

I like autumn Nicola the retro one has different valve from the normal 360 so it is a nightmare to do.

Would you believe now brace yourself i had a bebecar big pram for Olivia then the pulse then a MC jive and i loved that little buggy. It lasted the whole time and i shoved so much shopping and she slept in it and i loved it. I even had a groovy rain cover with little flowers all over.

Now has everyone regained composure after that admission i remember how my buggy obsession started. I was looking for a a new stroller for daniel after the big pram and i happened to stumble on this thread and the bjcm boom way back. I became hooked from there. Never had an AT pushchair ever and new nothing about liners footmuffs.

Just shows you eh?

nicolamumof3 · 03/08/2010 21:45

oh bless you basl and we all love you soooooo much.

when i think of all the money i have wasted its so selfish really. But then i don't do anything else. Just spend spend spend on the boys, i am shopaholic, i guess the prams is just an extension of that?

GeekOfTheWeek · 03/08/2010 21:54

No not wythenshaw sal, bolton. Our local hospital.

Nic, its far from selfish.

I love autumn and winter, my fave seasons. I love winter woolies, boots, food and the icy cold weather.

Strangely, i also love the blistering sunshine, flip flops, bikinis, salads and bbqs and wine always wine

nicolamumof3 · 03/08/2010 22:00

oh geek me too, i just love the seasons changing i think and we've had such a splendid summer dare i say i am maybe a little bored of vest tops and flip flops.

I am looking for some nice riding boots for autumn/winter. I have uggs and im getting some merrell snow boots and new wellies, won't be caught out this year!

GeekOfTheWeek · 03/08/2010 22:21

I have riding boots but they are covered in horse shit

Have got black short uggs and want some chesnut for this year. I think i may get some snow boots too.

I love jumper dresses with thick tights on and boots.

I use my slow cooker a lot in winter. Lovely stews and brisket, all ready when i get back from work.

basl · 03/08/2010 22:23

Ditto Nicola

AND we love Dec/Jan because Basl will be having her birthday party and all the girls will have a meet up. I am thinking more Jan like you suggested nicola because everyone seems a bit low after all the festive season or maybe i will just come down to see all of you.

Geek i don't know what it is but when you say Wine it makes me so so much want to pour myself a huge big glass I have given up alcohol completely as it just makes me far too emotional. I am not the type to just have one and very greedy with it when out. I have to say i have not really missed it but when out for a meal or when geek talks about it i really want one but i really don't think it agrees with me.

nicolamumof3 · 03/08/2010 22:38

terry just came home with cheese so just having cheese, biscuits and lovely dry white wine (sorry basl).

well i mean more 'fashion' riding boot stylee! don't actually go riding myself..

ooooooh yes party, i will of course be a fashionable, svelte well groomed size 10 by then!!

basl · 03/08/2010 22:54

Cheese, biscuits and wine disgusting can't think of anything more revolting [only happens to be my favourite]

Well my dh has been at work till 6pm from 7am and then the gym and has now cooked a prawn madras curry, carrot and lentil soup, chilli, and it is all in little freezer tubs.

He is now sitting down to some crisps and wine.

It really is not bothering me. [anger]

nicolamumof3 · 03/08/2010 23:06

hugs basl

FlyMeToDunoon · 03/08/2010 23:25

Evening. I expect you have all gone to bed.
Geek sorry to hear about your fil. Hope things look up tomorrow.
I sold my quest on a bin. Buyer wants to collect tomorrow night. Thats the end of an era.
I spent the evening watching old videos of DDs 1 and 2 as babies. Sigh. So cute and the time has flown.
Night night all.

basl · 03/08/2010 23:28

Thankyou nicola, yes i will have a hug and i genuinely hope you enjoy your little treat you deserve it.

Can you believe for a little while tonight i considered looking for a double classic doesn't take much to get me jumping on the bandwagon. The volo is so yesterday, well for tonight anyway.

basl · 03/08/2010 23:40

Heelllloooo Flyme i am still here and well done you for selling the quest.
Great watching videos we did that the other day and could not believe how tidy my house looked when we just had Olivia.

So when do you get the nipper ?

nicolamumof3 · 04/08/2010 07:53

morning! oh we did that with the video's just before luka's birthday, he was such a cute baby...

whats everyone up to today? DH is now off for 5 days. Boys are super excited to have their daddy off! We have chores to do this morning and then movies later...Toy Story 3

lillypie · 04/08/2010 08:01

Hi everyone
Had a nice day yesterday I met my friend at the park and she only had her lovely DD (16 months)with her and not her little fiend boy so Isobel came home with no scratches or bruises and all her hair still on her head.

Isobel attached herself to a group of women and little girls and invited herself to their picnic after shunning the food I had taken!

My friend is off camping today and she puruaded me to let her take my lovely XTS (very compact fold and lovely zip recline)and I came home with her Pegasus Landrover buggy.

She £300 on a BIN on Ebay and then another £60 for the courier!!! I coundn't believe when she told me how much she had paid but it was too late then she already had it.

I asked my Mum to bring me some Uggs when she comes over from Oz in a couple of weeks and she phoned me yesterday to say she hasn't bought them because Ugg Australia has been bought out by an American company so she has bought me Emus instead

nicolamumof3 · 04/08/2010 08:14

i thought that had been the case with uggs for a while tho? not that i know anything lol!

im off to clear out the 'coat cupboard' upstairs and take some pics its bursting at the seems..actually just writing that don't think i can face it yet!

lillypie · 04/08/2010 08:21

Yes but I couldn't care less who owns the company lol I just wanted some Uggs!!

Still Emus are nice too and they are freebees
