maxybrown · 17/07/2010 08:55

Not me, sat firmly in my house

Like cybill shepard Sal - I don't though I assure you! I would need to lose about 5 stone first for a start though I imagine Basl was just referring to my mug. Hee hee.

Right I best go and get organised.

basl · 17/07/2010 09:04

Morning, i am just back from the next sale. Fantastic. My friend picked me up at 4am and it was so exciting. We went into Edinburgh and it was empty. We were the first lot in. I have 6 full bags of stuff. I am over the moon. Loads for Daniel and Olivias hols and lots of jeans for me and some sport stuff for dh. No boxers for james sorry about that. We went to two different stores and out for breakfast and home down two washings out to dry coffee and waiting now on the explotion as my dh finds all the stuff i bought.

Well it is your profile that made me think of her. I don't think you really look like her full on but that particular pic just reminded me of her.

Sal you really would not need to read my jibberish honestly. Just skim past any of mine and you will be fine. unless you are having trouble sleeping

nicolamumof3 · 17/07/2010 09:13

hey good for you basl. site crashed as i was checking out..phew a relief really!!

Cons just arrived Maxy they are perfect luka loves them!

maxybrown · 17/07/2010 09:15

Thanks for looking anyway Basl. Glad you had a good time. I am hoping to pop in later maybe. Need to go to town. I do not have a single pair of trousers/jeans now that are not threadbare or full blown holes in between the legs. Yikes! I can just never ever get any to fit. Sainsburys used to be the only place and they have stopped doing them now grrrr. Mind you they never lasted very long from there. Sigh. Sorry moanie moo I am - wasn't REALLY moaning though hehehe

basl · 17/07/2010 09:22

Well i walked about like we had the shop to ourselves. Loads of sizes and no pushing and shoving. Well worth it.

BexieID · 17/07/2010 09:34

I would have prob gone if empty, lol. Just hate it when place is mobbed. I just couldn't be bothered to go into Glasgow or goto Braehead. Also, have no room for new clothes when trying to sell old ones. I should do pix of the bin bag mayhem in kids room (and Erin is still in with us!).

maxybrown · 17/07/2010 09:36

wow, that's fab basl! I remember in Plymouth they used to queue like mad. Not that I ever went.......I do need to go in today though. Might have to try M&S. Next is too long for me.

Divatheshopaholic · 17/07/2010 11:05

Hi,
Rain showers here today again. I wont be around much in the evenings. Dh and I had a bit heated disgussion, although he is at home, he is always in the garage doing his hobby, when i pointed out that he is spending rather many hours in there, he says " You are on pc all day and talk to the other people anyway"So i told him, i wont be sitting on pc in the evenings, so he can stay with me and we will have "we time" in front of tv and talk to "each other". Last night we started 1000pc jigsaw puzzle, which will keep us busy a few days

Off to take kids to local sumer fayre hope rain will stop soon.

basl · 17/07/2010 11:13

Diva just going to catch you before this evening I have to admit i am the worlds worse for this and i think it's lovely you have decided to spend more time with your dh. My marriage was in a real state and not by any way back to normal but my dh found it rather off putting that i spend as much time as i can on the pc. Good luck with your jigsaw and i will be visiting at one point remember so i will come to yours for a cuppa and introduce my self to your dh as one of those other people tell him your oh so popular and your fans would not let you away
Catch up with you during the day and i too will take a leaf out of your book. Maybe we should have a cut off time but i know i am the worlds worse.
Big hugs from me Diva xxxxxx

maxybrown · 17/07/2010 11:33

I know exactly where you are coming fromt oo Diva - but you know that.

It's funny because when I go away I don't think about the PC at all.

It is too easy to go on our own though - both DH's and us I mean.......very easy.

We sometimes play Ludo etc too - though DH keeps hammering me, big cheat I say

Divatheshopaholic · 17/07/2010 12:04

Thanks Basl and Maxy. Dh is very caring husband and good daddy. He just carried away with his project and forgot im human, too. I told him, internet is part of life, and i have friends to catch up and shopping to do, read papers, gossip mags to look and more..
He cooked dinner last night, and opened bottle of wine, i stayed in bed till 9.30 with my book, btw i did not go Next sale at 5 in the morning.

It started raining heavy, so no summer fayre for us
May be take kids for meal somewhere? or soft play?

maxybrown · 17/07/2010 12:10

Yes Diva, my DH is too though he forgets that what I am doing is equivelent to doing a job. He is shocked at the house when I am out all day - I said, see, shows you what i do!!

I can't imagine ever ever getting a lie in though. But I def need less sleep than him anyway so not really that fussed! I find it very difficlut to stay in bed.

But cooking would be nice - he used to cook all of the time and now........never grrrr. That does annoy me, but he knows that

Dh has got bus to PO and James and I are current;y watching Toy Story. Then I am going out when DH gets back hee hee. We are carless all weekend and have a bus ticket between us so taking it in turns

sal1309 · 17/07/2010 14:39

basl i love reading your posts

diva i think its lovely that your going to spend more time with dh. I must admit its one of the reasons i havent been on that much recently as with work, kids, house, tots ect me and dh havent had anytime for each other so are now making the effort to make time.

Dh has booked us a hotel in london for our anniversary i cant wait

well went to next only got a few bits. just had dinner than im off to work in 10 min till 12:30

have a nice night ladies

Divatheshopaholic · 17/07/2010 15:57

Back home, we went summer fayre it stopped raining and sun came out. Kids bought cheapy toy each, went to see magician clown, then went on bouncy castle and trampoline. 2pounds for 5min I need to start my own bouncy castle business
Then went Macdonalds for lunch, had ice cream walked pass Next
Home now, Dh said will cook bacon wrapped chicken and roast veg. He is great cook when he cook
Looking forward to glass of wine and sit down with jigsaw puzzle.

GeekOfTheWeek · 17/07/2010 16:39

Hello

My next sale order arrived today. My new bikini is stunning. Really really nice. Some of the other stuff won't be delivered for a few days.

Horrible weather here, torrential rain just clearing now.

Went to next earlier as i needed to go to boots anyway . Spent another £70 odd, which, considering it was heaving and smelt terrible is not too bad!

I am cooking spag bol tonight for me and the dcs. Goes lovely with red wine, sweet chilli dough balls and garlic bread

5inthebed · 17/07/2010 20:51

I didn't get anything in th Next sale I've got to save my money for moving and buying nw stuff. Plus spent a bit too much in Ikea yesterday

maxybrown · 17/07/2010 22:03

You didn't miss much 5in. Our Nexts were, as usual, full of girls clothes and size 8 in the ladies. Got James some fabby beach shoes today but his instep is too high so they'll be going back anyhow

carrielou2007 · 17/07/2010 22:12

Evening

Basl hope you bought something nice for yourself? I bought four huge bags in Next sale, clothes for dd and ds, one pair of sandals for me, spent 175 ds now has enough pj's to last him until he is 2

Geek how is the PL bag could you do me a pic? Do you use pram clips for iton the bee? Love love love my bee+ but bag situation is driving me potty with it sliding around so want a bag to use with bag clips but needs to be small so does not hit ds's legs.

Booked our 'sun' holiday today,dc's dad won't come abraod with us so have booked dc and I caravan in lovely Weymouth. Which pram to take ds will be almost eight months by then.

I'm rubbish with facebook I keep forgettin my password then get locked out. I only like to look at people photos anyway, wonder what you do look like Maxy

Diva that is so lovely you and your dh spending time together.

basl · 18/07/2010 08:50

Morning, i fell asleep last night while tucking olivia in. I woke up at 5am STILL in her bed. We were at a birthday party 4 til 7. The kids had a great time. The birthday girl has one of those cute summer houses and daniel loved it. In and out and in and out the whole party.
The next sale really took it out of me getting up at 4am.

Really looking forward to dh going away for another week. He is doing my head in. Such a grupmpy bum about all the clothes i bought.

maxybrown · 18/07/2010 09:16

ah I see Basl!

Must be something in the air though, DH was a right grump yesterday too - for no reason whatsoever.. Like a bear with a sore head. then when you say "what's the matter with you" "nothing" Apparently it's me that's grumpy!! WTH?!!! Ah well - BEAR MOO Basl BEAR MOO

basl · 18/07/2010 09:38

Yeah Maxy exactly BEAR MOO!!!! and at the "what's the matter with you" "nothing" story of my life. Then the next clothes gets brought up and then my messiness and then i say "Thought you said nothing up with you" "I would hate to see how you would be if there was"

Anyway enough about that and Sal hotel in London that's just what you need a little break my dear. Hope you have a great time. It's rubbish working till midnight isn't it. I shall be going back to work soon.

Carrie i have never been to Weymouth but i have been on many a caravan holiday and love them. It sounds great. I think you should take your swift.

maxybrown · 18/07/2010 10:11

Ah It's not worth wondering about carrielou

Weymouth is lovely

Men! Shhesh! My Mum goes through the same with my Dad. They do like to drag things out............yawn yawn.
