Hello and welcome.

OhhOhhh Geek there is a Jane Powertrack on ebay for BIN £35.00 or make and offer. The covers do look scabby but i have a Nurse Dakar hood which is brand new. It's black with sort of beige swirlly pattern in side. You could get brand new seat unit from Jonstone prams and bingo very reasonable priced pushchair.

I don't know how to do links but it's on a BIN!!!!

basl · 02/08/2010 23:00

Me again Geek, i notice on ebay if you type in Nurse Dakar they are selling completely new seat cover, hood, bumper bar? bag for £79.00 so if the lady took an offer that would be a bargain. Mind you they do come brand new for around £190.00 so maybe i am talking pants.

sal1309 · 03/08/2010 08:23

basl glad you enjoyed yourself last night sounds like fun. Im not coordinated enough to shake my bum and boobs at the same time lol.

well looks like a nice day here today off to tots this morning then going to a friends after as she has invited dd for lunch.

Then off to dreaded ww tonight to see if i have put all my weight back on as have fell off the wagon a bit but now motivated again.

FlyMeToDunoon · 03/08/2010 08:39

Morning! had lie in til 8.45 good job too as was up in the night and couldn't get back to sleep.

Boys at creche at 10.30 i have parcels to post a pushchair to pack and present to buy for my dads bday.

I text maxy on Sunday basl she's having a lovely time, asked when you are getting your phone?!! And 5in too all settled in new house.

basl · 03/08/2010 09:21

Morning lol sal i am not coordinated either but the boobs kind of shake on their own anyway. I am rather stiff this morning so it shows you how much i must of worked when having so much fun.

Sandpit Flyme sounds good fun. Do you go to the big sandpit nicola goes to or is it one in your garden?

Loving this creche you have nicola, great idea but you do pack alot into that little spare time.

Olivia and I are going to get her school shoes She is starting to look a little bit aprehensive about it all. She has started wetting herself all the time and i can only put it down to starting school. She is very constipated again so i wonder if she is holding on to that again which is pressing on her bladder. Such a stress as it usually means she has to completely strip off. It takes me back to all the stress when she had to go to a clinic regarding her holding on to her poo. Sorry not the best conversation to wake up to but sure nobody will mind.

So my wonderful sister steps in again and is taking daniel so we can have a good old girly day and really spend time talking to her on her own without any little [daniel] distractions.

He is going to Aberdour Castle with Auntie Julie and his cousins. She says it's to thank her for cutting her hair for Free and having her kids all weekend but i know she is really going out of her way to help.

Tell maxy i will have a look today for a phone

nicolamumof3 · 03/08/2010 09:38

oh basl just started reading that post and my immediate thought was can you have day with olivia on her own to complete devote so that is perfect. Poor love Tate will be the same im sure. As he's not starting until 13th sept i have the week when everyone else goes back to school to get his shoes hopefully but may check out russell and bromley before then if im feeling brave! When does olivia start? Maybe get her nice new lunchbox or hair clips etc bless the little angel.

FlyMeToDunoon · 03/08/2010 09:45

Ahh basl a little girl girly time.
DD1 and I need to do the school shoe trip too, on our own but I an expecting more of a battle there. She wants pumps and I insist they must have a strap or her toes will claw up.
We all went to aberdour castle on our last trip up to scotland basl. It was such a lovely day.
I have my quest for sale but after I washed the covers some black spots were still there on the seat. Have used the dettol mildew stuff and am just waiting on them coming out of the machine again.
The sandpit is in our local park and it's fab. But it's getting later and later and I still have to have a bath and get dressed.

Our appointment is in a lovely shoe shop in town and i used to take Olivia all the time and then just stopped after i kind of worked out how to fit her shoes. I was back recently for the crocs and she remebered Olivia's name and told her all about her tiny feet when she came for her first shoes and Olivia was blown away. Kind of like when she sees her name on here she is so flattered and things how do people know her.

She starts in about 2 weeks time and wee have an slot booked at the shop. I think she likes the idea of school but i do fear her sensitive nature will bite her in the bum on the days leading up to it. So yes nicola i think some hair clips are a fantastic idea as she has been growing out a fringe and will want to look just right.

Flyme what kind of school bags are appropriate. She keeps looking at character ones but i don't think that's right for primary 1 or is it??

nicolamumof3 · 03/08/2010 11:15

Let her have what she wants basl i never worry too much whats right/wrong if they are happy thats fine. ours have school logo'd book bags so don't need to get a bag and i bought school pe bag too. i must sort myself out with last of school bits. Have a lovely day basl!

oh guess what..nipper arrived at 10am...fan bloody tastic! Really really pleased better than i expected and you know how fussy i am!! Got my other sheepskin this morning too....so going to get it all ready and pick boys up from creche in it! They will love it. Just have fixed wheel to pack up now and arrange courier.

horsemadgal · 03/08/2010 11:28

Glad you like the Nipper Nicola. Good mail day today.

basl, my eldest goes to poo clinic too. It's been a nightmare for him (us!) but he's slowly getting there.
School shoe shopping done here yay!

nicolamumof3 · 03/08/2010 11:48

double nipper 360 the bit above footplate is bit faded and edge of seats but soooooo pleased with it, looks good with sheepskins too. Boys are going to lurve it!

FlyMeToDunoon · 03/08/2010 13:11

The Nipper looks really great Nicola. Very comfy with sheepskins.
I am a tad worried that my 5.10 yr old will look just daft but we will see. Lovely seller has emailed to say she is putting in some extra little bits and should be here Thursday.
basl the school my DDs go to has bookbags too so no need for a school bag. They encourage the Reception [p1] children to make them look individual so easier to find.
DD2 going into Yr1 and might try and look for a bag for her as she may need to carry more stuff. Character bags are fine. Lots of the children here have funky rucksacks too. I second the pretty hairbands, maybe matching to uniform? and oooh matching trimmed ankle socks are very sweet.
I well remember my school leather satchel and it's distinctive smell of apples [playpiece]

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 03/08/2010 13:15

oh leather satchels lovely, i can't remember my school bag!!

love the pretty little matching ankle socks. Got a friend on pram board who makes dummy clips but she also makes bag clips which are really cute with their name on. Give me a shout if you would like any ladies. I've got ones with yellow and brown beads to match boys uniform for lunch boxes, book bags and pe bags!

you should have nipper soon then dunoon! I love using mine. Just need to pump tyres before long day out on thurs at chessington.

FlyMeToDunoon · 03/08/2010 13:23

Can you do pic of bag clips Nicola as I can't quite picture what you mean. Right we are off to park for a picnic.

OP posts:
horsemadgal · 03/08/2010 13:27

Oh my I had a little leather briefcase, with a key!

basl · 03/08/2010 16:10

Oh nicola your nipper looks fantastic. I want a double buggy to play with.
Flyme your dd will be fine in it. Olivia sat in one and she was very comfy.

Well lovely day with Olivia however i have that sick feeling when i buy shoes from that shoe shop £46.00 for a very plain not even leathery looking shoes.

Olivia tried 6 pairs for choice and i was so tempted to sway her to pick some really girly ones but i stopped myslef. They all fitted very well and when asked she said "I really like the shiny ones but they feel stiff??" and then she picked the plain pair that really have no fancy anything on. The lady clapped her hands and said "Yeah good for you Olivia" She said they were all the same price but these were her fav as very robust and will last for ages and be soo comfy. Olivia said "Thats why i picked them because they were so soft and felt comfy"

So i am in shock as next looked like they had lovley pairs for £11.00 but it was a lovely experience for her today and she was given a little bag with pens and rubber choc and little badge telling her she was a star. Mmmmm wonder if that was a sweetner after paying £46.00
I had a satchel and a blazer but they don't seem to do blazers much now.

basl · 03/08/2010 16:13

Horsemadgal i forgot your ds went to poo clinic. It is so distressing isn't it. I am sure that was a huge contribution to my troubles of late. It was awful and still is to a certain degree. Her moods were based purley on how she was in that department and still are. the wee souls have to deal with it and us of course. xx

basl · 03/08/2010 16:15

Nicola loving those purple converse oh and thankyou ladies for buying some pushchairs to kick some life into this thread. I think i was boring everyone to tears

nicolamumof3 · 03/08/2010 18:38

basl glad you had a lovely day. Im happy with nipper just wish i'd had it a year or more ago. Silly really but hey ho!

Glad you got shows hope they last thats the only thing once they start school they wear out before grow out i've always found. Tempted to send tate in his brown kickers but think they should have black shoes grrr.

GeekOfTheWeek · 03/08/2010 19:50

Evening all,

Been in hospital all afternoon as dhs dad has had a massive heart attack. It never rains in this house.

basl, that jane powertrack you linked to is nice but pretty far from me. There is the exact same one running at auction near by that i am contemplating bidding on. Think it ends tomorrow.

basl · 03/08/2010 20:03

GEEK!!! that is awful, how is your dhs dad now? What a damn shame for you honestly it just seems like "what else can happen" eh? Oh i hope your ok my love. How is Dh?

Well if you want to jaz it up those covers etc for £70 on ebay or remember i have the black hood with beige swirly lining and you can order just the seat unit. I can find out for you how much the seat unit alone would cost if you want. It all fits the powertrack.

Hope your ok xx

sal1309 · 03/08/2010 20:16
