Hello and welcome.

OP posts:
basl · 16/08/2010 23:37

Geek she is having a hysterectomy. She had a huge fybroid just like i do but hers grew so big it was kind of crushing her ribs and giving her problems.

She has been having hormone injectections for 6months now to shrink it before op. The shocking thing is that the doctors didn't have a clue how to give the injection into her tummy. One doc googled it while she was lying there and followed it on youtube. Shock

basl · 16/08/2010 23:37

nicola did you send me maxy's number?

horsemadgal · 16/08/2010 23:48

Shock at the docs following youtube for an op!
Glad she's ok basl.

basl · 17/08/2010 00:39

HMG Grin it was to give her the hormone injections. They did not know what to do.

The op was performed by experienced surgeons i would hope. Well anything seems to go these days.

lillypie · 17/08/2010 07:54

5in Mum and Dad are coming for 3 months.Mum is going to buy a cheap little car while she is here and then give it to me when she goes home, hense the driving lessons.

Basl I am glad your sister is ok and Shock Confused at youtube

FlyMeToDunoon · 17/08/2010 08:12

I hope you have a great time with your parents around lillypie. It should be lovely for them to see the DCs. Maybe give you some free time too?
I am supposed to be organising driving lessons too but it seems like a huge mountain atm. Terrifying to do and expensive and don't even know if we can afford a car at the end of it all.
We are off to DD2's swimming lesson soon. Must get up, make breakfast and get them sorted out.
No energy these days.

Morning morning morning!

shocking about your sis basl really is. my mum had hysterectomy ooh about 18yr ago for exactly same reason. lillypie 3m you must be soooo excited!

i have no interest in driving at all i just don't think i could do it with the ds'? Am not sleeping great either.

basl · 17/08/2010 08:40

Morning ladies, we all need a holiday i think like a club 18/30 but a mums net one. Very grumpy children in this house this morning. Fighting over a torch that graNdad got for olivia and not daniel wee shame.

lillypie · 17/08/2010 09:16

Me driving will make a huge difference to us.I work night in Bristol and Chris picks me up at 11 when I finish. It's then a half hour drive back home and he has to bring Isobel with him.

Luckily she sleeps but it's not ideal!

We are going to have a big holiday next year before Isobel starts school and we are tied to school holidays.

basl · 17/08/2010 09:43

I agree lillypie. It will make a huge difference. I have to wait on dh rushing in from work and then taking me. Always at the very last min which is not ideal as you really need to relax and read up on whats changed etc since last in. Then i have to rely on colleagues running me home and if the usual ones are off sick or on holiday i have to ask someone else and i hate it so much. Taxi is double time after midnight and costs a fortune.

When are you going to start the lessons then. I would start now if i was you and don't put it off. Grin

lillypie · 17/08/2010 09:47

I start when Isobel starts pre-school in Sept Grin

basl · 17/08/2010 09:57

Ahhhh i see. Well if you need any gentle encouragement then i won't forget. lol I could have swung for my sister when she booked my first lesson but so glad now. Even tho i am dreading the next one and so it goes on.

Isobel will love pre school she sounds like a right wee character. Grin

Divatheshopaholic · 17/08/2010 10:19

lillypie · 17/08/2010 10:40

dunoon replied to mail x

5inthebed · 17/08/2010 12:01

Diva that cake looks fantastic! I'd never even attempt to make anything like that.

I have insomnia atm. It really sucks. I'm going to bed about 11 and just lying awak until 2/3 and then waking every half an hour or so. I just want to sleep!

FlyMeToDunoon · 17/08/2010 12:03

Ta.
I feel flat. I think I will go to sainsbury's and get the ingredients for something nice.

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 17/08/2010 12:08

5in are you worried about anything? im not sleeping either i feel awful so drained and struggling during the day.

Need to get nipper out now as got buyer coming at 1pm!¬

5inthebed · 17/08/2010 12:17

Not really worried about anything. I get insomnia every now and again so nothing new. It makes me really grumpy and I get frustrated really quickly. Poor DH gets the brunt of it. Maybe I should take one of DS2's sleeping tablets Grin.

There is a jane slalom near me for £50 ono, but has no raincover and basket. Iw as tempted until I realsied no basket.

FlyMeToDunoon · 17/08/2010 12:21

basket not much loss as they are so small and hard to get at.

OP posts:
5inthebed · 17/08/2010 12:23

I'm getting a nipper anyway, so another three wheeler would just be greedy. I have to have a basket on a pram, they just look odd without them.

DS2+3 both having a nap Shock. Maybe I should try get my head own as well, but I'm not tired! Grrrrrr

FlyMeToDunoon · 17/08/2010 12:37

tis true a pram without a basket is useless.

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 17/08/2010 13:04

oh 5in, well do something nice instead? watch a movie? have a nice bath? you've had so much going on with the house move.

When does nipper arrive?

I've just got my black nipper out ready to be picked up. I can't believe how lovely it is, such good condition, im def going to get another!! So mad aren't i. think i will get navy...or red?

5inthebed · 17/08/2010 13:12

I just swept the floor and had a glass of pop. I'm living the dream Grin.

I just need to pay for Nipper tomorrow then will arrange delivery. Red nipper is lovely Nicola.
