Hello and welcome.

OP posts:
basl · 25/07/2010 13:54

Ladies i have had a migrane for two days now and it is getting worse. Paracetamol wont touch it. I feel so sick now and pains up neck and side of my face. Any drug recommendations? It is awfull. I just don't have the time to go to bed as i have a house full again

nicolamumof3 · 25/07/2010 16:12

oh basl im with you.. shame shops now, as i really recommend 4head stick you rub on. Works well. Otherwise you need some ibuprofen. codeine best but can make sickness worse. Loads of fluids too.

Oh maxy doesn't sound good at all! Well my lovely boy been out all afternoon rung me to tell me exactly where he is each time they've left park to go into town. He's now at his friends house til 5pm. Im going to make honey & mustard chicken drumsticks for tea in a bit. Luka flaked out in xt tate watching disney channel on newly installed sky Oh and my new next book arrived so thats me sorted for the next hour or so. We went to park was scorching, at least its keeping my tan up.

5inthebed · 25/07/2010 17:00

Nicola, yes still want dungarees. Will pay next wednesday if that is ok?

Been busy all day, but still managed to find time to go to my mams for yummy roast pork dinner.

nicolamumof3 · 25/07/2010 17:03

yes of course thats fine hunnie, am prob going p.o either tomorrow or tuesday now, so if you could email me your new addy please? thanks love xx

maxybrown · 25/07/2010 17:08

Well we're getting nowhere fast - both DH and I feel realy lethargic and no energy at all! Weird.

Basl - take two ibuprofen and two paracetamol - and second the 4head rub! Codeine doesn't touch mine - even the extra strength from the docs, only ibuprofen and paracetamol togther.

basl · 25/07/2010 18:03

Well you will never guess what. Ben went to Tesco with my dh and i was sent to bed while daniel slept and Olivia shopping with them. When i woke Ben was standing with Ibuprofen and 4head rub. He said "trust me this works as my dad gets terrible headaches and it's the only thing that gets them away" Can you believe that. Ben swore by the 4head thing as he said he gets bad headaches too.

Well it has almost gone and i had a lovely sleep to find a note telling me dh taken them all to the beach and then out for tea. Thankyooooooooooooo dh i have enjoyed the peace and quite.

basl · 25/07/2010 18:05

Maxy did you get the nipper???? I think you so look forward to a holiday and then all your energy zapped when you need it most eh?

Roast pork mmmmmmmmmm honey and mustard chicken mmmmmmmmmm.

nicolamumof3 · 25/07/2010 18:27

oh basl..that is really lovely great!

well guess what i've just bought?!

a double fixed wheel nipper its only for summer hols, i like to be out ALL day and can literally walk miles, usually if i want to do this not a problem as only have one child with me but with them both its just not fair on Tate esp in the heat. So am looking forward to picking it up now and giving it a scrub.

Just took little tikes climbing frame apart and scrubbed that got a lady coming tomorrow for it.

basl · 25/07/2010 18:32

Ahhhhhhhhhhh nicola they are great. My sister was given one free for her childminding. I think really easy to push and steer. I had a little go of it.
Oh i am really excited to hear how you get on with it and wonder what maxy thinks of hers. x

nicolamumof3 · 25/07/2010 18:39

its just the same as maxy's but double cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300448176317&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT will be great for summer hols!

5inthebed · 25/07/2010 19:18

Wow well done Nicola, bargain!

Ds1 is stopping out again tonight! He hasn't slept in his own bed since Thursday

I want a nice climbing frame or a trampoline for the boys, maybe next year.

nicolamumof3 · 25/07/2010 19:30

ooh have you a nice big garden? i'd like one of those wooden ones if we had space. Our garden is teeny. We are swapping little tikes thing for a slightly larger slide.

5inthebed · 25/07/2010 19:42

No not massivly big. It needs work done to it as the woman who lived there before was old and only had her grass cut, no weeding or anything. There are loads of rose bushes and rodadendrum (sp) bushes though. Will look nice once we are finished with it. Probably not until next year though.

nicolamumof3 · 25/07/2010 19:50

be so so lovely tho to open the doors and just step outside won't it? so happy for youx

5inthebed · 25/07/2010 19:58

It is lovely. The boys hav already been playing in the garden having a whale of a time while we try to strip the wallpaper and decorate before Thursday. They love it! I feel like a horrible mam though having kept them in a flat for so long. But that can all be behind me now they have a garden to play in.

I'm trying to change my address on paypal, what a nightmare!

nicolamumof3 · 25/07/2010 20:09

don't be silly as you say all behind you now. Righ im off to get chinese while dh watching top gear on his night off. boys in bed making loads of noise and tom in the bath.

maxybrown · 25/07/2010 21:07

Hello all - so glad you got a rest basl! And fancy about the medicines I am off ro some calm potion tomorrow, didn't get there today.

Nipper fabby, it seems sooooooooo tiny after the elite though! Wheels are a pain on this one though. need DH to look at them as they aren't being quick release at all - my other two never had this problem so hoping DH can sort it. You have to knock them off and knock them back on again, but other than that tis great James' head above the seat though, will do for this hol anyway, but would still rather have elite. Though it is nice and bouncy!

5in how lovely for you, you muct all be so excited.

I'd love a climbing frame for James - he loves climbing frames. Really not taken to the mini micro at all Basl hos does Daniel like the scuttlebug?

maxybrown · 25/07/2010 21:08

sorry for all the SP mistakes

nicolamumof3 · 25/07/2010 21:26

he will love the mini micro in another 6m-1yr tate loves his now. Luka still not great on his but doesn't get much practice can' have them both on one at same time!! He will use on school run tho come Sept

anyone need clarks wellies 7.5? and next cagoule 2-3yr?

carrielou2007 · 25/07/2010 21:54

Evening

Glad you have had a bit of a rest basl, hope it passes soon for you.

5inthebed how lovely for your boys, I love it when dd asks to play out in the garden on windy days all wrapped up playing in her sand/water table, I shut the french doors

Glad you like your new buggy Maxy even with a bit of a wonky wheel

I've eaten so much today I feel I could literally pop had to take dc's dad to Frenchay hospital as yesterday he cut the top of his thumb off so had to get tendon's checked today. We were there three hours so went for a McDonald's after. Then I ate crisps, and chocolate.

Having a few days off from SW so not going to be weighed tomorrow in case I have put on will start back on it tomorrow, it's not hard to stick to at all but I just needed a wee blowout before I aim for the next stone!!

nicolamumof3 · 25/07/2010 21:55

good for you carrielou

basl · 25/07/2010 22:18

Evening, Glad you like the nipper maxy and mind it's only for your hols so i am sure he will be comfy in it. Please do try and get the bachs rescue remedy for your journey and yeah fancy my nephew who is 12 recommending migraine relief. It has worked a treat although i still feel a bit light headed and fuzzy.
5in my kids love the garden and ours is teeny. We have a very big slide from ELC a tampoline which is the 8ft one and a little tykes tree house type thingy. I always threaten to chuck that but they love climbing into it and playing houses Daniel loves guddling in the garden and is now the proud owner of pop up goals and loves them.

Maxy the scuttle bug is tiny but a real hit with daniel. It is not bigger than his little ride on but at least i can fold away when we go to the park. He loves it and so did all the kids that came to the party. The toys story scooter £18.00 bargain was a hit too. It blows fantastic bubbles but is a bit wobbly for daniel to master but he gives it a fair go.

Carrie well deserved break my dear enjoy

Nicola enjoy your chinese yummmmmmy

nicolamumof3 · 25/07/2010 22:41

hope you're feeling better basl night night x

maxybrown · 25/07/2010 23:21

Right, done as much ironing as i can bear for tonight, roasting now so finish off tomorrow night. At work in the morning, then home to clean the fish and hamster and drop the hamster at my parents for his holiday
Then food shopping and goodness knows what else! DH given the whole house a tidy and clean today so that's good.
