My update is our onward purchase was completed months ago but due to buyers pulling out we had to start again with a buyer and they are just in the final stages of conveyancing and we are talking dates! I really hope I am not on the next thread.

There was another offer. Agent said they would proceed then asked me if I wanted to accept their offer. That confused me tbh and I said yes but I'm none the wiser as to whether I've sold or not. I asked ex h and he was mean about it.

Sounds sold to me 🤷‍♀️

I hope so. It's probably part of my illness that ex h actions have caused me that I can't compute this.

The agent saying they would proceed made me think we'd sold but then he said do I want to accept their offer co it confused me. I said yes, he hasn't read it and haven't heard from him since.

Thank you. Hopefully he'll message me in the morning with a clear response. I'm viewing two houses next week and it would be better if knew my position for sure. I've seen old photos of the house I'm looking at and the kitchen is tiny with a wall that isn't shown in the newer pictures so I'm feeling a bit deflated about that too.

What do the dimensions look like on the floor plan? Would you be up for knocking walls down? Our current house had a galley kitchen when we bought it but we opened it out to make a kitchen diner by knocking down an internal wall...

I'm feeling a bit down today. I should've been in my lovely new house today, not still stuck with H here :(

Feeling your pain @startingoveragainagain - looks like we’re back on the market tomorrow at the worst possible time of year. Ex-H is also rightly worried he’ll lose the house he was buying too meaning he’ll make things difficult for me eg not cleaning up for viewers etc. I’m due to move into a rental with disabled DD near her new uni in a month 😞

I thought about knocking a walk down. I'm going to look at the floor plan and compare it to rooms in my house so I can visualise the size better.

In other news, a second viewing is booked for someone who made more than one offer who want the house, aren't phased by the reason the others pulled out and seem pleased it's back on.

I wish I'd known about this thread before. Finally after 5 months of stress including wrong name and address on contract, I exchanged on Thursday with completion this Tuesday.

Beside myself with excitement 😁

Looks like chain all agree 9th (though I tried to claw back a day with the 8th) for completion some 3 weeks later than I needed and 1 week later than everyone else agreed due to vendor not disclosing a holiday 🙄
Not sure when exchange will be.
Of course it’s the one week my STBEH is away, my best friend and my parents so I’ll be moving me, the kids and dog solo from the family home to the new one. Thank god I costed in removals! This really is the start of my single life!
Now to just get through three weeks of waiting as I’m packed already!

That sounds like a nightmare, but at least you have a date now! This time next year you will be getting ready to enjoy a long summer holiday in your beautiful new home and all this stress will be a distant memory (at least that's what I'm telling myself!). Fingers crossed everything else goes smoothly for you over the next few weeks!

Sorry to hear of all the broken chains and people having to relist and start again.

I'm currently sat on my sunbed in Turkey constantly checking my emails as we are exchanging and completing simultaneously today. It's midday here so only 10am in the U.K. so I reckon it will be later this afternoon but still can't stop myself from checking 🙄

How exciting (and stressful)! I hope you've managed to enjoy your holiday and not spent the entire time stressing about today. I hope everything goes well!

Anyone here relocating and switching nurseries? I'm going to have to 'break up' with our current nursery in September and am dreading it. They're all so lovely!

Oh my goodness, this was us last week!
I was absolutely dreading telling nursery we were moving DS, they've been so helpful in terms of SEN plans and seem to genuinely love having him there. It's a small independent nursery and I love that we've been able to support them.

I do feel better now I've come clean :) it's sad but at least they can assist with the 'new nursery ' talk and prep for DS.
