Property history sold 20 times in 17 years?!?!

Can anyone think of why a property would have this many sold listings on zoopla? I noticed it as it came up for sale recently, went to ‘under offer’, and then was taken off the market without ever going to ‘SSTC’ (it was listed with an agent that seems to update to this when sales progress).

Haunted or at least a very weird vibe. I kind of get the heebie jeebies just from the pics - don’t you?

OolongTeaDrinker · 05/04/2024 19:34

Also it doesn’t look very recently decorated, so no one sticks around long enough to even do that!

MrsCrumPinnett · 05/04/2024 19:34

It’s beautiful, and I love it, I’d have it in a heartbeat. My guess is that surveys show something expensive wrong and so people pull out, or searches show a big development proposed somewhere in view.

LightSpeeds · 05/04/2024 19:35

Bad neighbours or trouble outside on the street? Those are the things that would make me move...

Haha I came here to say this

Caffeineneedednow · 05/04/2024 19:36

Haunted.

I say that as someone who doesn't even believe on ghosts 😄

Songbird54321 · 05/04/2024 19:36

That doesn't look right at all. Sold twice in May 2015 for different prices, April 2002 at £525k and then May 2002 at £156k? I'd say there's a cock up on the history. Have you been able to check it elsewhere?

It does have a very tragic history - young daughter accidentally killed by her younger brother, and body then stolen by grave robbers from the churchyard!

My instincts are telling me it's beautiful but haunted 👻

Cathbrownlow · 05/04/2024 19:37

I would go with the bad neighbours/street guess.

Blahblah34 · 05/04/2024 19:37

Something very odd clearly happened between May 2021 and April 2002

Explodingheademoji · 05/04/2024 19:38

Just realised my maths is appalling 😅😅 still a lot of sales in 27 years!

Rightmove showing no sold history, suspect zoopla is picking up something on multiple properties in same postcode

MoreRainbowsPlease · 05/04/2024 19:38

It looks like a lovely house, before I clicked on the link I would have said bad neighbours, but as it's detatched I don't think it's that. Is it a listed property or anything that would mean people might have wanted to change the property and not been able to? The only other things I can think of would be expensive structural problems as one previous poster suggested, or some kind of uncertainty over land boundaries, or maybe there is a right of way across the land and people got fed up of waving ramblers looking through the kitchen window when they were washing up naked.

2reefsin30knots · 05/04/2024 19:40

Just Google Aylton Court. Ghosts! 😂

Ah that makes the most sense, no I haven’t checked (I’m not actually remotely in any position to buy this house, just randomly invested In it after finding out about it’s history!)

Money laundering of some description. It's owned by a trust group; https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/02624173/officers I'd say they're selling it between themselves, to move assets around.

BoobyDazzler · 05/04/2024 19:41

Some real shit went down in May 2002.

Wednesdaysotherchild · 05/04/2024 19:42

I’m saying haunted as well, that kitchen gives me the heebie jeebies…

I'm intrigued so went looking on right move. Looks like there's a couple of larger detached properties and some terraced 'barns' all under the same address but they're split out on right move:

www.rightmove.co.uk/house-prices/hr8-2qh.html

Zoopla must have them down as one property

Oooooor a postcode issue - several properties on same land, and Zoopla is counting them all as one property (as PP has suggested).

Before I clicked the link my first thought was "GHOSTS". This additional info confirms it 😂 (I don't even believe in the supernatural but maybe the next owners need to call the Winchesters, just saying)

NerdWhoEatsMedlar · 05/04/2024 19:44

Zoopla is picking up the Aylton Barns conversion sales.

Basically listing the sales of 9 properties
