I drive past this house occasionally visiting a friend and it’s a bit marmite (and I’d love them to get rid of the red stuff). But i just spotted it’s still on Rightmove a year on.

This house is glorious, I drive past it on the way to work every day. And the view from the back is over the canal locks and open countryside. SO much more bang for your buck - it’s the old Manor House, a genuine piece of local history.

this house is a new build and on a road that is a busy cut through. I love some of the original houses on this road but developers have moved in and demolished and built this rubbish so the character of this road is turning into duplicate soulless blocks

Yes now it’s it’s deffo over priced looking at the Manor House! Stunning. Perhaps my friend and I will drive that way when I next come to visit.

There is one on the corner of a junction as you come down the road. It’s busy there but it looks like a really good build, expensive.

I think that the one you talking about is much nicer, better design and build quality and much more worth the money more than the original you posted about. But still a busy cut through road to the motorway and the motorway noise is quite loud there too!

Yes lovely stone frames. Still behind fences but seeing more of it each month I pass by.

I wonder if the build quality (or potential lack of) is putting people off

The turf is so so badly laid. Uneven, bumpy, the join lines are so obvious. That smacks of not enough preparation and a bit of a bodge job

The staircases are in really odd places, so not much thought has been put into the design and clearly absolutely zero thought has been put into any of the interior finishes so any viewers will already be banking on ripping out all of those revolting tiles and nasty carpets.

But if I was looking at a new build or recent build, I would want to know there has been great attention to detail and the house has nothing that is going to go wrong

But if they can’t do something as basic as lay turf properly, I’m not filled with confidence that the plumbing and electrics are top notch

@Daffodilsandbeer not sure why I haven’t spotted the one next door very similar!! Must look out on my next trip, I wonder if I just thought they blurred into one 😂 it’s very similar.
