I drive past this house occasionally visiting a friend and it’s a bit marmite (and I’d love them to get rid of the red stuff). But i just spotted it’s still on Rightmove a year on.

It’s huge!! House in B93

There's no way I'd live in Solihull if I had 3mill.

Thesharkradar · 04/03/2023 12:41

Will end up one of those expensive mansions that no one wants ..crumble away and be worth nothing
There are loads of abandoned vanity projects built at vast expense by the owner who tried to sell but no one else wants to live there for that kind of money...

Dodgeitornot · 04/03/2023 12:43

Not only is there a lot less buyers in that price range but they've also slashed the range of buyers by more than 80% with their decor choices. They're selling a niche product, they can probably count on two hands the amount of people in the country who'd be able to, and want to, buy that house.

Shininghope · 04/03/2023 12:49

Grey and white with splashes of red. It’s a bold move styling your house around the movie Schindler’s list.

iloveyankeecandle · 04/03/2023 12:52

What a boring house. Even with the red and sooo over priced!!

TheMousePipes · 04/03/2023 12:56

I live a couple of miles from that house. The problem is that it’s really soulless and priced far too high for what it is - you can buy a hell of a lot of house for that money round here. (The road has a bit of a reputation for being full of pretentious people too.) And it’s really close to the M42 and there’s a lot of road noise. If you put that price point into right move within three miles you’ll see what I mean.

TheMousePipes · 04/03/2023 13:04

This is much nicer AND much cheaper

CellophaneFlower · 04/03/2023 13:11

I reckon a cross dresser lives there. I absolutely refuse to believe a woman would choose that decor.

1 of the bedrooms remind me of the late 80s teenage trend of black ash furniture and red/grey/black linen.

Yesthatismychildsigh · 04/03/2023 13:20

It’s cold and soulless. Does anyone actually live there or has it been dressed? Also it must have been extremely on trend for 5 minutes, looks very dated now. Tacky.

rainingsnoring · 04/03/2023 13:25

Ugly house and ridiculously over priced.

Ukholidaysaregreat · 04/03/2023 13:29

I'll take it! I need a large room to display my giant tennis racquet art. This is what I am looking for.

SoupDragon · 04/03/2023 13:39

TheMousePipes · 04/03/2023 13:04

Far, far better. It looks like an actual home.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 04/03/2023 13:46

Aaah many a happy afternoon of my teenage years taking drugs hanging out with my friends in the back gardens of lady Byron lane…..

Greensleevevssnotnose · 04/03/2023 13:51

Pretty sure all the colour is photoshopped or super imposed. I think it's an empty house and they are trying to dress it to look lived in. V e r y b a d l y

Is this an advertisement?

I'm glad it's not just me that thinks the photos look weird or fake!

CottonSock · 04/03/2023 14:02

The photos look CG or something odd about them.

Meandfour · 04/03/2023 14:03

It’s vile! It all needs ripping out and nobody is going to pay that price for a reno project.

ChillinwiththeVillains · 04/03/2023 14:06

The first house really affected by motorway noise and not walkable to anywhere nice. Second house on Arden road walkable to London railway line and village shops. Know which I would prefer.

Ilikewinter · 04/03/2023 14:12

My first thought.....the floor tiles look cold and how much would it cost to heat the house.....then I saw red and grey .... no thanks, not for me!

Ballcactus · 04/03/2023 14:24

Looks like Santander head office

StarbucksSmarterSister · 04/03/2023 14:27

I like the second one. First one is awful and will look very dated in a short time

GoodChat · 04/03/2023 14:34

TheMousePipes · 04/03/2023 13:04

Oh I love that!
